Poor communication between pro and customer and between themselves. 1st scheduled on Monday 2 hours after appointment time I called to find out they were not coming and got rescheduled for small discount. On reschedule date called several times after no show. Their Miscommunication resulted in job finally getting done about 10 hours after scheduled and $50 more than verbally agreed to. Workmanship was good and job was done the price was still less than the other I talked to but the delays and lack of communication bothersome.

E-mailed and telephoned when running late to keep me in the circle. Offer tips so maybe next time I can DIY.

I paid $425.00 for outdoor lighting repair. The line had been cut as part of removing a tree that had fallen on my house. An outlet had also been damaged. The two technicians were named Derico Jones and Clinton. The light is motion sensor. I explained. However, it was set as dusk to dawn with the brightest illumination setting. I was told by both of them at different times they were going to come out and re-set the lighting. On both occasions no shows. I received apologies, but the lighting issue remains. I don't think anyone else should have to go behind them to set them correctly and they were paid $425.00. It appears an adjustment was finally attempted, but it was not successful. I have given up on that. When I paid Derico Jones, I asked for my receipt aka invoice and I was told it would be e-mailed. It's been more than two weeks and numerous requests, I still have not received it. This is puzzling to me, my check was cashed but I am unable to receive an invoice. The check was payable to Derico Jones as instructed and not to the actual company Whatley electrical. They both were nice. Derico Jones was nice and still is somewhat courteous and refuses to give me an invoice. I will never hire them again. If you do, keep in mind they don't issue invoices so do not pay in cash. You will not have any proof you paid. The first call is quick, when you complete home advisor, but they may not show up on time. Speaking of time, $75.00 an hour, a two hour minimum plus materials. Again, they do not account for the cost of the materials so buyer beware.

It's refreshing to see that an honest and hard-working electrician like Clinton, is still is available in Birmingham,AL. After submitting my request on Homeadvisor I received a call within 5 minutes. Clinton scheduled the appointment for the next day and took the time to explain everything that was going to be done. He also explained the pricing and gave me a general idea of what kind of price I was looking at. Tonya called the next morning to confirm my appointment. She was a very sweet and knowledgeable young lady. I had a couple of questions I had thought of over night and she was able to answer all of them for me. I thought it was great that they call to confirm and make sure that the previos scheduled time still worked best for you because the type of work I do, my schedule does change last minute often. Clinton arrived on time and worked throughout the day. He was very neat in appearance and well organized. He did anperfect job on the panel and wiring upgrade and even fixed some other problems he found while working on the rewire at no extra charge. He takes alot of pride in his work and is by far the cleanest worker i have seen. He didn't leave not one trace of anything to let you know he had been there. We had gotten a few estimates from some other local electricians about 6 months prior to getting this work done and all of the quotes were at least $300-$400 more than what Whatley Electrical charged us. We received a 10% off discount for my husband being in the marines which I loved because lots of companies dont seem ti remember our servicemen. Tonya also called a few days after work was done to make sure all was working correctly and to see if we had any problems or questions. They make you feel so comfortable with knowing if something did go wrong that they are there for anything we needed and not to hesitate to call. Overall the best experience we have had with a contractor coming in and doing work on our home. Couldn't have asked for a better experience and will recommend Whatley Electrical to all of my friends.

I would definitely recommend Whatley Electrical to anyone needing electrical services. Very friendly and prompt service. Installed an electrical stove in quick, timely fashion. Reasonable price for work. No problems whatsoever, will use for all my electrical needs from now on. Job well done!

Great install with no problems. Quick and good quality work.

He broke 2 appointments before he arrived 4 hours late to the last one. Did not arrive until 4 pm and was still doing work at my house at 1130 pm. He did not come prepared with simple electrical supplies such as romex and went to Lowes and was on the clock the entire time.. i was charged 675.00 to install the fans. He quoted me 75 per hour and was at my house 6 hours to install 2 fans. I was very unhappy to say the least but he absolutely was at the bank the next morning at 9 am to cash my check. Hire someone else if you want a fair price.

Our job took a little longer than estimated but I feel like that is just how things at our house go! The installation of a new switch for our disposal is great and we couldn't be happier.

Check on prices we were told 75.00 a hour one fan we were not happy with and he did the fan over for 175.00 and was here less than 1 1/2 hours

Clinton was fast, efficient and professional. The installation is excellent and attractive. Clinton cleaned up all the unpacking mess of the fan boxes and took the packing boxes and materials with him as he exited our home. I will be using Whatley Electric again when we need electrical service.

They have a 2hr. minimum labor charge. You might want to hire them for somthing that takes that long to repair or install.
