Electrical Wiring or Panel Upgrade
If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. My experience with Whittaker Electric has been nothing short of a nightmare. From start to finish, this contractor has exhibited a shocking level of incompetence and disregard for basic safety and legal standards. First thing out of the gate, licensing law violation: inadequate contract and requiring over $1,000 deposit. This alone should serve as a red flag to anyone considering their services. Moreover, the physical damage left on my property is inexcusable. Not only did they fail to perform their work with care demonstrated by the owner crashing an excavator into the structure holding my main service panel after driving the excavator through my front lawn, but they also left conduits filled with dirt, breakers broken and incorrect wire terminations. This level of neglect reflects a complete lack of professionalism and respect for the homeownerâ s property. The equipment they used was inadequate at best. It was clear that they were unprepared for the job at hand, which only compounded the issues. Proper tools and equipment are fundamental in any electrical work, and their lack of proper gear led to shoddy and unsafe installations. Even more alarming is their blatant disregard for electrical codes. The work performed was not only substandard but also posed significant safety risks. I also observed apprentices working unsupervised. This is not only irresponsible but downright dangerous. It is essential that inexperienced workers are guided by knowledgeable professionals, yet Whittaker Electric seems content to let them fumble through critical tasks without oversight. To add insult to injury, Whittaker Electric failed to pay their material supplier so I ended up with a lien on my property. In summary, I strongly advise against hiring Whittaker Electric. Their flagrant violations of license laws, coupled with the damages they caused, inadequate equipment, and overall lack of adherence to safety protocols and electrical codes, make them an unreliable and dangerous choice for any electrical work. Save yourself the headache and seek out a reputable contractor who prioritizes professionalism and safety.

The crew was very respectful and thorough in explaining what was happening and always cleaned up after the work was finished. Shawn and Martin were great at what they do and were efficient in getting things completed in a timely manner without rushing the job. Tom Whittaker was easy to deal with. He communicated professionally and he accurately described his proposal. He was honest and fair. The crew that performed the work arrived on time and completed the job timely with excellent quality. Pricing was reasonable and there was no push to upsell or anything like that. I will definitely be calling Tom again for future electrician work. I highly recommend this company.

Ceiling Fan Installation
Very good work, ceiling fan installation with no existing wiring done without a hitch. Excellent service, very communicative and I have absolutely no complaints, other than this house should have already had ceiling fans in all rooms before I moved in! Ceiling Fan Installation
The challenge was to run new wiring for an overhead fan to a room with no existing wiring in the ceiling and no attic access. Whittaker Electrical Repair & Installation got the job done in the estimated time frame, with minimal disruption, at the proposed price. Work and electricians were professional and courteous and job site was clean after completion. I highly recommend them.

Electrical Wiring or Panel Upgrade
We had Tom come out to troubleshoot an issue with the electrical going to our A/C. He was thorough and had explored all the different issues it could be to make sure the fix would be the right one. In the end, we needed to have a new line run from the box to the A/C. He was fast, responsive, and very knowledgeable. From first contact to finished work, it was just under a week. We highly recommend him and look forward to working with him again for any electrical needs.

Electrical for Home Addition or Remodel Installation
I hired Tom to add light fixtures on the outside of my house. Did a great job. He explains everything that needs to be done in detail. Very customer service oriented. After he completed that job I hired him to replace my electrical panel. He coordinated everything with the city and pg&e to get my power shut off in the morning and have it turned back on that afternoon once the panel was replaced. I highly recommend Tom. He is very thorough and does great work. You won't have a disappointments if you hire him to take care of any of your electrical needs.
