I hired Wildlife Solution of Westchester for a groundhog problem (I put â racoon in the description because there was no option in the dropdown menu for â groundhogâ ). Mike walked the property and did a thorough "property search" (given the wide territorial range a groundhog typically inhabits) to determine the range of the groundhog and any other possible escape routes. He also educated me on the nature of the problem and provided several solution options. He gave his assessment on what should be done as well as conducted some testing to verify if the target animal was actually in the target location. In the end he determined that the groundhog had vacated the den (maybe the groundhog knew I had called Mike! ha, ha), but he determined via conducting a few simple tests that a different animal had moved into the den. He also offered to use motion activated trail cameras to verify what animal was actually living in the den since these cameras would capture and record activity day or night. The actual service was to trap and release woodchucks/groundhogs. I posted the project and in a short time I received a call from Mike. He asked me a few questions about my issue and then he explained my options and how the process works. Mike came and inspected the property and he pointed out all the areas that are risks and advise me on how to correct them. After the inspection He arrived early the next day to set traps which caught one and he returned to remove it from the property and release. After a few more catches I determined the pest situation was resolved. All along the way Mike provided expert advice and education on animal behavior and what to look for to know if there are more hanging around. Mike was always on time, friendly, and flexible willing to accommodate my availability as best as he could. A week ago I caught a skunk and reached out to Mike. He was on his way to a meeting but he came before his meeting to retrieve the skunk. He released it and return with my trap later that day. His price is competitive and he told me upfront what the pricing is for ever part of the project. I will use Mike again and I recommend him highly to anyone who need pest/wildlife services.
