William Richards has the knowledge and expertise to assist you with your residential home improvement needs. Established in 1983, he began as a sub-contractor, servicing general contractors in many areas of residential construction. In 1991 Bill became a licensed general contractor servicing his own clients in residential construction and hasn't looked back. He says," we value our customers by providing quality craftsmanship, an open line of communication, coaching along the way and because we have chosen to stay a relatively small family owned and operated company, we are very competitively priced." Now that his two sons, Bill and Jim have continued to treat every client as if they were family and their projects as if it were their own home "Big Bill" ventures off at times doing handyman projects but still continuing to do one job at a time. Like Bill says," We do it very well. Once we're done, then and only then do we move onto the next project."

Basement Remodeling
We hired bill to finish our basement for us prior to the shutdown. We chose Bill because he gave us a great price and we immediately felt comfortable with him. We were able to get our framing done right before we shutdown. Bill stayed in constant communication with us throughout the shutdown and really went to work for us when the shutdown was lifted. We feel we received exactly what we thought we would. He was friendly, an excellent communicator, and worked hard. We would highly recommend hiring Bill for your next project.

Bill Richards did a great job repl acing the deck on my father s home. He was quick to respond to my request for a quote and he did a much better job assessing the condition of the existing structure. This resulted in a more economical solution to repair the deck. Bill and his team were onsite as scheduled each day. They were very courteous to my dad and completed the entire project on time and budget. Bill s team left the worksite clean and my dad and family are all pleased with the new deck. I d highly recommend Bill Richards company to anyone considering a construction project or handyman repair on their home or property.

We hired Bill for a $20,000+ job in Lake Orion for a new Deck that in less than 2 years is coming apart all over the place. This is purely from workmanship. Bill will not return calls or emails. He never provided his son s information who could also fix this issue for us. He is not honoring his workmanship warranty and we will be addressing this with the Better Business Bureau.

Bill and his son did a great job replacing my wood privacy fence. Quality work at a fair price. The work was done done quickly and very professionally. It was a very well thought out design and constructed with extra fortification where it was needed. This is the second job Bill has done for me as he replaced my deck last year. I was so impressed that I had him do the fence this year. I'm planning a few other projects for either later this year or next. Bill will be first on the list to quote this work. He is at the top of my list of contractors for future work I am planning.

Bill & Bill did a fine job. With all the bad weather we've had, we still managed to get the patio installed to use for a graduation party. Also, we love the cedar fence and garden bed he installed. Our backyard is now an enjoyable place to relax and have friends over!! Thanks, Bill.

Bill's approach of doing one job at a time was unique and was much appreciated. While Bill's bid was not the lowest, we think it has been the best value due to his work ethic, quality of work, personal concern for our best interests, and willingness to accommodate our expectations. William was truly excellent. He told me what he was going to do and when he would do it, put it in writing, and then did it. No surprises, no missed communication, no delays. Workmanship was top notch. His bid for this shed was lower than the local hardware superstores were asking and he was using a higher quality bill of materials. I went over his proposal several times wondering what the catch was. No catches, just honest hard work. Project consisted of pouring a concrete base with ratwall per code and constructing a 10'x16' Gambrel shed. I love my new shed and I will continue to call William with future projects.
