Never pay Chase W. with cash, check, or Zelle; instead, use a credit card to file a chargeback. Check the Better Business Bureau, etc. for complaints and status before paying; get a detailed estimate that includes labor, not just materials, with a work completion deadline or your money back in full ** IN CLEAR WRITING ** (which Chase despises); and get proof that they are licensed, insured, and bonded (do not just take his word for it). Chase refused to provide me with proof. Never prepay for more than one job at a time. Wait until the first job is finished before paying for anything else. Call the city zoning/building inspector to verify if he has a city license for the job. He can not get a permit if he is not qualified, and he will be left with illegal work. Never pull the permit yourself. Once he takes your 50%+ deposit, you may receive shoddy/incomplete/illegal work with no recourse if you do not heed this critical warning! At first, Chase may seem super easy to get a hold of and nice. The more you pay, the harder it may be to complete the work. You need the contract and research completed to avoid the anxiety of being abandoned and ripped off. If you are already or have become a victim, file a complaint. I am a witness to the previous negative reviews being accurate. I left a 1 star rather than a.5 star so it would not be confused with 5 stars, but negative 10 stars would be more accurate.

I hired Chase for a one-week clean-up, and he turned it into three months of subpar work. I had to hire a second company to fix his poor leveling and grading. He buried stumps on the property (he was not supposed to bury anything) that are now caving in and leaving huge holes. This will have to be taken care of before any further work can be done. He removed 15 to 20 tall pine trees that went to the mill, and payment was supposed to be made to me. This was in our contract and the main reason I hired this kid. He was the only bidder that gave me this option, so he gained my trust. The estimated value by Chase for these trees was 2 to 3 thousand dollars. He has kept that money, which qualifies him as a liar. His workers would show up once a week or two, for maybe two hours a day. Chase very rarely visits the job site and the kids he has working are not that knowledgeable about their assignments. Putting aside the fact of a poor work ethic, Chase can appear to be a very nice person. Beware, it is part of his plan to separate you from your money.

They were professional and easy to work with while getting the work done in a timely manner.

Just beware. I wish I would have done more research. Never hire anyone who uses kids to do a job that requires someone that has credentials to remove flooding from a horse pasture. They made my flooding worse. One of my horses was hurt as well. 12 hours of work cost me $3000 and no receipt. I am not doing small claims to get my money back but I will write reviews. If you need pictures of what was done before and after I have them. Would be more than happy to share. All I can say is that I learned a valuable lesson. Ask for insurance a bond and license to do any type of work on your property. Chase comes off very helpful in the beginning but does not supervise or care. What is worse is I am a female who has to work 80 hours a week to pay for something that I specifically did not want. I was told this was the best way to get the water moving. Do not worry this will work Generational farmer. Not true. Nobody would do what was done if they had animals. Unless they are not what they say they are.
