This is a copy of the complaint I filed with the BBB.  I guess I have no option but small claims court at this point. <br /> --------- <br /> Failed to return deposit after not doing the work contracted. <br /> in late march of 2015 I signed a contract with Window Wiz to install 6 replacement windows and paid a deposit of $1500. Mike said it would be around 5 weeks before the windows come in and he can do the install. After 5 weeks I called and left a message. No reply. After 3 weeks of leaving multiple messages and emails, Mike finally calls me back, and says that due to a medical issue he is having to postpone all installs until July, and that he will reach out then to schedule the install. The end of July comes and I haven't heard from him. I leave multiple messages with him that are ignored. I finally got him to answer the phone by calling from a different #. He tell me he is doing installs again and asks me to call him again in a week to schedule the install. Several ignored voicemails later and a call from a different phone # I get him on the phone and we schedule the install for the 25th/26th of August. Mike said he would call me a day or two before the install to confirm. It's the day before the install and I still haven't heard from him. Called and left a message asking him to confirm if he was coming. At 8AM the morning of the install he calls me and tells me that he can't find/doesn't have my windows and that he will try to figure out what happened and get back to me the next day. Several days pass and I don't hear from him. I finally do get him on the phone and he still doesn't know what happened with the windows. At this point I tell him this has all been too much for me and I would like my deposit back. He agrees and says he will send out a check. A week goes by and I don't have a check from him. I finally get him on the phone and he says he is getting paid for a job that day and will send me a check the next day. Two weeks have now passed and I have yet to see a check, and have not been able to get him on the phone or a reply to voicemails.

The owner claimed he had a hernia and forgot to notify everyone when he had to have an operation. I found this out after Angie's contacted him when I could not get to him in May. He gave me his direct cell #. said he was recovering from the surgery, hoped to be back to work by end of July. <br /> I called in early August, was told he was having problems getting reliable assistants, and that he would put us in for September 22. <br /> I called twice in early September and got no callback. Came here to see all the others he stiffed. I'm now waiting for Angie's to arrange a refund of the $1499, and expect I've lost the other money. <br /> I'm disappointed that despite my not being the only Angie's member he stiffed and our reporting it in May, they were offering him as a Big Deal again in the summer - I would have hoped they had some intermediary step between "all's well - let's offer a deal!" and "too many complaints - into the penalty box!" to prevent a possibly struggling business from getting deeper into trouble with members. <br />

Run away from this contractor. Mike took my deposit and has disappeared. I have been leaving voicemails for months but now his voice mailbox is full and he has yet to return my calls. I have visited his place of business twice and no one has been there. I left notes with my phone number requesting he call - no return calls. I emailed Mike from his website - no response. Work was originally suppose to start the first week of June and it is now July 6th and nothing has been done. I have now had to file a complaint with the Attorney General&apos;s Office. This has turned into a nightmare. Because he was suppose to replace some skylights and I have solar panels that need to be removed to complete the work. I need to schedule the solar panel company to remove them, since I had to cancel on them I was charge $500. He was also supposed to replace two doors and change them into windows since they don&apos;t have proper stairs. My home insurance has threatened to drop me if those aren&apos;t replaced. I am guessing I will need to get a lawyer before this is all over. DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY MONEY

It was hard to find him before the schedule to confirm the job and we were in a bit panic about what is going on. But the weekend before the schedule, Mike called me and confirmed the date of the job and details. Mike is very professional and hard working. After he replaced the windows, we also hired him for the interior paint touch trim and exterior aluminon package for an extra charge. Overall, the job is well done. <br />

I purchased a deal for 5 energy star double hung windows installed from "Window Wiz." The company sent a man to measure where the 5 new windows were to be installed. Before leaving, he told us to "call in a month" to see if the windows were ready. After waiting a month, I called the company and left a message. A week went by, and I called again and left a message. Soon their phone wasn't taking messages at all. I contacted Angie's List and they told me, in an email, that they contacted Window Wiz and urged them to contact me. Still no response. <br /> I am now trying to see if Angie's Lists "dispute resolution" process will resolve this. I'd rather not use Window Wiz at this point, but there are no other window deals out there so I must. <br /> You, however, can avoid this by simply not doing business with Window Wiz.

Mike was great to work with, very responsive and accommodating. <br /> He obviously knows his business, his work was quick, efficient and attention to detail was excellent <br />

I called Mike to get an estimate to replace my patio door. Mike showed up an gave me a price that was within my budget. He showed up on time and did a great job!!

The transaction went well.  It was a no rush job and not an emergency, so the month turnaround was no big deal. And it was only one window. <br />

Excellent, used ingenuity to suggest improvement to solve exiting problems and his work was outstanding.

I?m having trouble remembering the exact price but I know they are less expensive than the other places I contacted.

I decided to replace my windows rather than install skylights. Mike Choquet of Window Wiz replaced 15 windows for me over the course of two years. Made quick contact and gave me rough estimate over the phone. Very professional, completed work on time, and by far gave me the best price out of 5 companies. Would not hesitate to recommend.

The window was not installed the way we discussed when we ordered it. I had to cancel the check to get him back to put the window in the way I wanted it, and then we found serious damage to the window, nail holes thru the PVC frame and razor cuts around the inside perimerter which are not repairable. I had to argue with Harvey Industries to keep the warranty on the window. We also purchased new front and side doors with new trim. I had to install the new trim because THE WINDOW "WIZ" put the old trim back on the new doors. My wife and I are totally disgusted with this person because of the lack of workmanship and the damage he did to the new
