They come and put windows and doors in my house. The windows and doors did not pass inspection because I took the trim off the windows and doors and found out all the stuff they were hiding. As of right now my house is worse now then before. Stay away from this company they are not Knowledgeable on windows or doors. You should see my house the inspector was shocked . This is no way to run a business.

The door is fine. It was an exterior door and it cost me $3800 total which I think is expensive. Window world’s customer service is not good. They called me to reschedule an inspection, which I did. Then on the day of the inspection they sent out a guy to come fix my door, saying that I had missed the inspection. If I missed the inspection, why would someone need to come fix anything? Wouldn’t I just need to reschedule the inspection? When I called in I was angry that I took a day off work for nothing. The woman I spoke to said all she could do was read the notes. I missed a day of work due Window World’s incompetence, and the all woman on the phone could do was tell me that she could only read her inaccurate notes. They could try listening to the customer, that might be good. I will just use another company in the future.

All went well. The only improvement I recommend is for the installers to make sure they add more foam around every window to provide best long term insulation (without the need for the homeowner to observe or correct). Very happy with everything else.

Disappointing. First; this was not my first experience with Window World. Approx four years ago, they replaced all the windows (16) and one sliding door at our home. The job went perfectly from purchase order to final installation and inspection. That being said: The order for the new doors and their installation was completed on July 17, 2017. I was told it would take approximately 8 weeks to manufacture and deliver the new doors. On October 13 installation of the new doors began about 9:30 AM. When I completed some chores and went to watch the job. By then the old doors and part of the casing were removed. I informed the Window World crew they had the wrong new doors. The ones they had were slider doors vice french doors. The crew leader disagreed with me. I obtained the original sales order and showed it to him (french doors). He made some phone calls and discovered that the incorrect doors were put on the truck at the depot, requiring he return to the depot to get the correct doors. The reinstalled the old doors and frame and departed. They returned and began the installation process again, this time with the correct doors. Installation was completed about 7:30 PM. It was a long day for all involved. Before the installation team departed they informed me that once the County Building Inspection was complete, window world would to the final cosmetic work. The door was inspected and the finish work team of two did their final cosmetic work except: The interior case around the glass needed plugs installed (to hide screws) before the job was done and there were only about half and many plugs available as that is what was delivered with the door. I was told the plugs would be ordered and they would return to install them. This was on November 20. Since then I have been told that obtaining the missing plastic plugs is being investigated. That was until just before Christmas. Since then I had been unable to receive any response from the Window World Tampa Bay installation supervisor or from his boss. I have tried numerous emails and phone calls. The only communication I received from Window World was on December 22 when their accounting department called requesting final payment. In my foolishness, and because I had such a wonder experience with the company in the past, I went ahead a paid the amount due, think this communication problem would be solved, the plugs installed and I would be able to paint the doors. It seems to me it's like dealing with two different companies. My last try was this morning emailing and phoning both the installation supervisor and his supervisor with no reply.

<p>The final result is great - outstanding window/doors and great quality - but this was incredibly frustrating.  We used Window World of Tampa Bay because they had replaced the windows for the previous homeowner and we were impressed with the quality of the windows. Window World was definitely not the cheapest provider.  We spent almost $10K on three sliding glass doors and one small window.  But we wanted high impact argon windows and were willing to pay for it.  The sales professional was very knowledgeable and didn't do any kind of a hard sell.  Wilbur, the installer, and his team were friendly and professional. The inspector commented on the high quality of the window and the outstanding workmanship of the installers. So again, great result!  My huge complaint about Window World is their incredibly poor communication and not meeting deadlines. The window and doors were standard size. They were ordered in September.  Today, December 4, is when everything was finally installed, corrected, inspected and approved.  But the biggest issue is that what should have been a TWO day process turned into a SIX day process, requiring someone to be at home on six separate occasions. The installation took two days vs. one because they were not able to start until late afternoon on day one so we had to be home the next day for them to finish. Then we failed the inspection (screws missing). Window World had to come back and correct the problem. Then, the inspector had to re-inspect.  Also, I had asked Window World to schedule the inspection for yesterday and I stayed home and Window World said they did not get the message from me so they did not schedule it.  Messages were a problem. The communication was poor throughout the entire process. Numerous calls went un-returned.  I was told "Melissa will call you back today" and "Melissa is in a meeting but will call you back after she is finished."  Neither time did I get a return phone call - each time I had to call back the following day.  When Melissa went on vacation everything stopped for almost two weeks. This is a company that does great work and we would use them again, but they really need to work on their communication, they need to hire enough staff to be able to respond to questions (we felt really badly for Melissa - she seems to be the only one there?) and they need to figure out how to keep the process to the promised two days not SIX days.</p> <br />

I could not be happier with Window World.  I have beautiful bedroom windows from Window World.  Every couple years, the balances seem to break down, which is a common problem with this type of double hung window.  By the way, I know this because I had purchased Stanek windows years ago and had similar problems.  (Stanek was purchased by Great Day Improvements, who are not honoring Stanek's lifetime warranty.)  Any way, setting up an appointment was a breeze.  Troy came out to make the repair and was in and out in less than 15 minutes I believe.  Rarely do I not have a single complaint or concern about a service provider.  This time, they met all of my expectations.  I would recommend them to my South Tampa neighbors. <br />

We are most pleased with the work and the results. The UV blocking windows do seem to eliminate radiant heating/ cooling and improve our view of the outer world. Also, the appearance of the windows adds to this home's street appeal and offers a bit more privacy from persons passing by. <br /> Our team was personable. The person supervising caught the few deficiencies in workmanship that existed and either corrected or had his team come and correct those areas. The caulking around the windows was beautifully done. The windows easily open and close while offering security features. The installation and quality of workmanship was high. Their clean-up was thorough. Superb job! <br />

In removing the old windows the exterior stucco was cracked and damaged. They were not timely in responding to my concerns and even denied they damaged stucture. (They're were no cracks around the windows before they began the work). We filed a complaint with Florida Dept. of Consumer Services. Eventually the installer came out and filled in the cracks in stucco.

Response for an estimate was quick and work was performed when promised. Company selected had lower estimate. Communications with installer was lacking as installer was not made aware that sill needed replacing. Home owner supplied replacement wood for sill to help expedite installation. Interior window trimming was completed initially, but exterior trimming was not completed for two weeks. End product looks great. Window appears to be high quality. Communications between company and home owner and installer could have been better. Given over all quality of the installation, the home owner would consider selecting this company for future work.

I wouldn't even give them an F-- I'd give them a Z-minus. After the salesman explained what would be done, we could never get in touch with him again. We contacted the owners, and they were extremely condescending. They have our check in hand, and excuses by the tongue. Their excuses were even conflicting.

Company had several no show appointments, and once they did show, they weren't on time. Called office on missed appointment and each time was told driver was on the way. On fourth call, admitted he was just loading the truck (2.5 hours later). First installer removed windows then realized he left replacement window and had to go back to office to retrieve. Original sale/install date was 3/31/2004, by the time they got it right and replaced windows they cracked on install, finished on January 30, 2006 - not really acceptable from a customer service standpoint. Three times tech came out to replace a window damaged on install, one came without anything, and two came with incorrect size of window to replace. Company stated some issues with them moving business addresses and changing of employees. Windows are very nice and pretty good price, if you can deal with everything else. If they can get service/install in line, might be great value.

The salesman, Mark, was on time for an estimate. After ordering, there was a problem with a large window, and the owner came out to discuss changes after the permit was kicked back. I opted for a plan the owner suggested, and I am pleased I did. The windows were ordered, and I received a call approx 2 weeks later to schedule installation. Ray was the installation technician who was on time. I was thoroughly pleased with his work. Ray was extremely polite and professional. There are higher quality windows on the market but after receiving 4 estimates, I chose Window World based on price and guarantee. This franchise has been around over 10 years and the window manufacturer has been much longer. I consulted the Better Business Bureau and noticed that all complaints were satisfied. The sliding glass door exceeded my expectations. Nice job to Ray for the great installation. I ordered fabric shield for hurricane protection, and I will write a separate form when the product is installed.

I ORDERED 12 PANE WINDOWS, THEY ORDERED 16 PANE WINDOWS. I HAVE BEEN CALLING THEM FOR TWO WEEKS, THE SALESMAN CALLED YESTERDAY AND SAID HE HAD NO IDEA I HAD BEEN CALLING THE OFFICE. THE QUALITY (WORKMANSHIP) OF THE PEOPLE WHO INSTALLED THEM WAS POOR, THERE WERE UNNECESSARY GAPS, ETC. THEY DID THE JOB FAST, BUT NOT WELL.
