These guys were prompt, polite, and honest. I needed Chimney specialist to waterproof the chimney due to water leak in our fireplace area, and these guys did a fine job of waterproofing and caulking/sealing any possible cracks. Price was a little steep - $795, but compared to what I've paid for Roofing contractor, it was reasonable. More importantly, got the job done...

I hired Windy Chimney for an inspection of 2 chimneys in a house I recently purchased. They did a very thorough inspection and confirmed the condition of both of my chimneys while providing options to repair and maintain them. They were also very good about letting me know which repairs could be deferred as well as alternate options if I didn't plan to have them do the work. Some of the quotes for the repair work seemed higher than I was expecting, but as a disclaimer, I did not get quotes from any other companies.

I was under the gun, so was not able to get multiple estimates. They did a close inspection with pictures, and recommended reasonable services to prevent leaks . My hesitation is because without comparing estimates I do not know if the price and services were the best for my situation. There was a subsequent leak near the chimney that was not caused by the chimney. John was able to give me an idea of what the problem was from his perspective when I called him later to ask for help

My chimney had spalling bricks and mortar from heavy weather damage. Windy Chimney came in with a great on time and reasonable quote. All work was completed within 3 weeks. Windy Chimney was honest with correct repairs that were needed and not a full gut just to take my money (which other companies did). Company had great communication throughout the process and answered any and all questions or concerns. Will use again

One of the owners, John came out to inspect the problem, (everything on the top of the chimney had rusted off and it was exposed to rain and anything that wanted to crawl into my attic) the same day that I called him. He went back to prepare a proposal and had it to me that evening. I approved it, he came out the next day and covered my chimney. His bid was also the lowest. I would use them again.

"Dear customer, I'd like you to look at the invoice you were given upon inspection and note that it says "NO BID" clearly. You were also verbally told it. What "no bid" means is that we were unwilling to do work on your chimney because of circumstances beyond our control. Your chimneys were both painted, so any moisture trying to escape will be trapped. We didn't want to contribute to this problem by doing any work on the top, further sealing in vapors/moisture. We will name any problems we see during an inspection. It's what people pay us for. Upsell means to raise price on something already sold. We didn't try this. Thanks for your time."
