The salesman and the installer were very friendly, open and professional. The installer carefully showed me each step of the installation, and asked me to verify that it looked centered properly. Both demonstrated their professional but human qualities, and convinced me that they had a lot of experience.

Fantastic sales presentation of the skylight selections, warranty and services. However, the installation was postponed twice (part of it was do to the continued rain fall this season); yet, the way WCS handled/explained the situation and resolved my disappointment about the delay professionally and admerably. I am sure most people understand that not one business/project is without its issue and challenge, it all comes down to is how that business handled and resolved those challenges along the way to make it a trustworthy business and worthy of recommendations. In this case with the Windy City Skylight (WCS) is one I would highly recommend.

Don is a straight shooter and they do really good work. They are beat and they make sure you are happy with there work. Don explained everything to me before doing the job.

Great job, great quality product, outstanding service, plus a great warranty on everything! They replaced our original master bathroom skylight installed by the builder, with a new state of the art skylight. They were on time, conscientious about making sure not to make a mess, courteous and neat. The new skylight they installed has already made a huge difference in how hot the sun would make the bathroom and as a side effect the rest of the upstairs. Now all the light comes in, but only a small fraction of the heat gets through. I am looking forward to winter to see if it keeps the cold out better too. I highly recommend them to replace any old skylights you have. It is a great investment in your home.

Feel confident about hiring them

When I had an issue with my project they assessed it the next day.

The sales person promised that we could put in skylights in a location that didn't actually work and we didn't know that until the installer came and re-measured. After lots of back and forth, we settled on sun tunnels and are very happy with the end result. The installers were great. Mike was fine to deal with and helped make sure we were happy in the end. I just wish we had avoided the initial issues by properly measuring where the skylights were going to go.

They price matched with a great warranty. The new skylight looks great and no more leaks! The estimator was courteous, quick, and respectful of our time. The install was done on time and efficiently. Very happy with the final product. They even spent some time cleaning what they could off the drywall that was stained from the previous leaks.

Hired them to replace a skylight. There was water leaking after a few months. I asked them to take a look at the flashing and they came and looked it from a distance and said there was nothing wrong. I hired a contractor to take care of it, and he told me the flashing was an issue. Once flashing was fixed, it didn't leak again. Not good experience.

I waited several months to post a review because I wanted to make sure that I would have no leaks after it rained. And I didn't! So I am happy with the installation, the product and with their excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend them.

Won't know the quality of job until it rains.

Came out and looked at what I needed and gave me an estimate. We needed a replacement skylight in our kitchen. Said we'll set up an appointment to install when the parts came in. Called the next week and scheduled. Within a couple days they had a cancelation and came out early and did the job. Very professional, courteous, didn't leave a mess like most contractors and they honestly seem to care about their customers. The amount I paid was exactly what the estimate was. Very happy with the whole project. I would recommend them.

Every aspect of the transaction was very professional and efficient. The salesman didn't try to sell us more than we wanted. The price was fair. The schedule was fairly quick and even adjusted quickly because of a rain delay. The installer arrived exactly on time, protected the room below with plastic, replaced the skylight with minimal disturbance, and left everything clean. Very good company to do business with. I highly recommend them.
