Windy City Tree Service

A two-part job, an old 60ft tree needed the top 50 ft cut off allowing me to tear down the garage leaning against it and then cut and grind the last 10ft of trunk When I scheduled part 2 of the job they never showed up on two different occasions! Okay, so I pitched a bxxxx to the owners wife (I assume) and she guaranteed me someone here on Monday. Monday morning an old man in a Windy City T-shirt wandered into my as if he was lost. This guy was old, not old, he was OLLLLD! He never said a word but mimed instead. When he was almost done I left to take care of business, and upon my return what did I find? A 6 ft chunk of tree trunk laying where the garage had been and blocking 1½ parking spaces. During this time Chicago repaved my street so there was no street parking....so now where to put my car?? That is why I have that space behind my house! With a tree trunk across the middle of that space I was trying to edge around it and my car lurched on the uneven ground hitting the tree trunk and pushing in a crumple zone of my bumper. Long story short, it took another 2 weeks for somebody to come and finish the job! It took a month to do a 30 min job. FAIL! I had, had contractors lined up and timed perfectly all summer....Windy City screwed my schedule completely and it took another month to line it all that up again. By using Windy City I lost a total of TWO SUMMER MONTHS! Now the project is so far behind it will snow before it is done. My car I have to pay for, although they failed to finish the job causing me to bang up my car. The old guy had supposedly injured himself and I am sorry but, they sent the company relic to do a 20-year-olds job, it will happen. I will have an extra property tax bill now too, since I am now so behind schedule Hiring Windy City cost me $7.5K for just 1K of work. I am $6.5K over budget because I hired Windy City Tree Service. Your best bet is to Google any other Tree Service and call them. Windy City? It is a cluster f**k over there. Unprofessional!

Great service! Very timely response for the estimate and the work was done the following day. The work was done quickly and the professionals that were onsight to do the work did an amazing job! Beautifully landscaped after the removal of the trees. Couldn't be more pleased!

Very professional very friendly would recommend to others

This company is the best I have dealt with in a long time . reasonable , on time and did a great job, no mess . my main contact for the job was Yolanda , very professional , kept me informed at all times and was a pleasure to do business with . would hire this company again with out hesitation THANKS AGAIN

Great work, best price

The customer service was great they came in and cut down my tree and they had some difficulty with the base of the stump which made it hard to remove. But when I mentioned could the majority of the stump left be removed, they came back out and fix the problem. I was very satisfied.

nice guys

The whole company was terrific extremely knowledgeable prompt trimmed approximately four trees down cleaned up everything price was what I believe to be appropriate. Will definitely use them as needed. The lady in charge is Yolanda, and she was a pleasure to work with. Laurie J.

Very courteous and professionals.

They were very prompt and were able to deal with a downed tree right away.

Excellent service, punctual, very clean work, friendly staff. A little bit pricey.

They were very professional, efficient and worked well as a team. They did a complex task and did it in a timely matter. I am very happy with their service. They have a great price for the work and would recommend to others

I had winter storm damage to a tree hanging over my garage. Limbs were barely hanging on and would come down one way or another. Preferred that they came down in a controlled manner vs. on their own. Windy City Tree contacted me in early in the morning the next day. They were able to come out and give an estimate the same day and do the work immediately. I was very impressed with their timely response and their work ethic. If I need tree work in the future I'll call them for sure. They did such a great job my neighbor even hired them to help them out

Quick and on time.

Very thorough and neat clean uo

It pays to hire an Arborist. They know hom to trip a tree correctly so it looks balanced. Windy City also thinned my Maple and Pin Oak. All my trees look great. Highly Recommend.

Great customer service, quick response, very professional. A bit expensive for making 3-5 cuts on a tiny Japanese Maple.

Very quick!!

Did exactly what I asked and for a very fair price! Highly recommend!

Professional, efficient and very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this business.

Windy City removed a very large locust tree in a very difficult location (between two houses and with a screened porch thrown in for good measure) on our property. They did an excellent job and they did it faster than I thought possible considering where the tree was. Jennifer in the office was great too and kept me up to date on everything. I would definitely use them again.

Very professional

I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM

I was pleased with their work and will likely use them again next year.
