I was happy with the first half of the job that the Wood Peddler completed. The furniture was well done and we looked forward to getting the second set completed. That is where the problems occurred. We had settled on a date for pick up and I had cleaned out two dressers and no pick up and no word from him. After one plus week of email and phone calls - I finally complained to Service Magic. They contacted the Wood Peddler and he emailed me that he was unable to finish the job. I am still mad about the whole situation especially because he asked for more money on the first half of the job. No way to get all I have left done for $300.

"I hae contacted Mrs. Strom and told her I could finish her job in a couple of week I had some family problems and need to attend to them. She understood at first but then was not accatable to the problem, I told her I would compleate the job to no cost to her but I have not herd back from her I have tried to fix the problem for her but she would not understand about the family problem."

The work that he did was great. He turned my 25 year old bedroom furniture into a brand new look. I had outdated furniture ,now I have a new updated look without paying the cost of a new bedroom set. His price was GREAT !!!! He also did the work quickly. Thank-You service magic for recommending him . He was very professional ,in this day of age inviting a total stranger to work for you is pretty scary. But your service put me a ease. I would use your site for future work to be done.

Responded promtly, did not have the tools to finish. Installed the grill, promised to return to complete installation (diamon saw cut-out the island to 1/2 inch specifications), never returned but was paid the agreed upon price.

Unfortunately, we had a first "missed" appointment because I could not locate his contact information and I did not receive a advance profile of this business. He contacted me and we re-scheduled. The appointment was kept but our follow-up, completion appointment for this morning was missed by Tom without a courtesy call. In addition, when he left our last appointment on Monday of this week, he took a light fixture that he said he would bring back with him today. I did not feel that he was as prepared as I would have liked him to be to complete the small jobs. I paid him $60 in cash on Monday but I do not feel that I received $60 in serv

"I called to reschedule but she never called back I did all the work I was paid to do,also she did not pay me for the price that was agreed to and the light fixture was broken and she saw me throw it away, I gave her a honest days work and she only paid me 60 would you go back and work for her if she did not pay for the agreed on price, also she did not have all the hardware for me to install."

I am selling a house in Victorville, CA, and he was able to do the repairs for me so that the buyer would be satisfied. He was very prompt in returning my calls and in completing the work. He did four things at the house all in one day, and within 5 days of me talking to him the first time. I paid him half up front and half after the work was completed. Tom is a great guy who does great work!
