The floors look great, they were in bad shape, and they really brought them back to life, for the most part. Crew was polite and showed up on time. The attention to detail was poor, as was communication, Here is why: No masking tape used, so finish got on my 1930s wood trim that is irreplaceable. We are talking streaks up to 3-4 inches high. The trim now has to be re-finished. Finish was also spilled on my stairs. Filler was used before consulting me on what should be done with damaged planks (damage found after sanding), and was applied partially applied. Literally the same plank had filler in one section but not the other. Several visible particulates in final finish, which could be seen from several feet away. No warning given regarding the overpowering odor that would accompany this process. I contacted the company after they completed the work and some of these items were addressed, but not all. Later on, I even found a small part of the floor where no finish was even applied! Communicating with David from Woodfloor masters also could have been better. He said he would come take a look at these issues himself after I emailed him pictures, but he did not show up. The same crew who did the work, showed up. Most of these issues could have been easily avoided with some attention to detail, and this would have been a 5 star review. The floors do look really good, but the trim damage, not keeping their word, and sloppy fill work really pull the rating down. I do not feel the overall service provided was worth the $5 per square feet they charged. If you use these guys, you had better watch them to make sure they do not screw your floor up.

The estimator was prompt and professional. Our scheduled service was delayed by a day due to another customer's job, but these things happen. The price was fair, I think, especially since they got out a ton of scratches and stains; the finished product looks great. The one thing I wish they had warned us about was the chemical fumes from the sealant. They were unexpectedly awful, and if I'd realized how bad they would be, I probably would have booked a hotel for a night or two. Refinishing a single room permeated the entire house. Still, a really nice job done by the team and I'm glad we had it done.

Bought a new home and had beautiful wood floors that were a little on the tired side. The job was reasonably priced Wood floor masters did such a great job, the floors turned out beautifully the guys were so friendly and quick. Had an issue months after they did my floors, something got on it and messed an area up David came in and fixed it same day. GREAT customer service. I highly reccomend this company 100% to anyone.

We had 30 year old hardwood floors extended into our family room and down a hallway. Dave and his crew are real craftsmen! They wove new wood into our existing hardwood floors and then refinished the entire floor. We canâ t see where the old wood meets the new wood at all! They were professional at every step, even returning twice to rework some areas that either had too much or too little finish. We felt the price was very fair for the amount of work that was performed. We would definitely hire Woodfloor Masters again!

Some of you are looking for your existing hardwood floor to be refinished, and others of you are looking for a new hardwood floor to be installed. We had Woodfloor Masters do both, so this is the review you want to read for whichever you are looking for. The whole process from start to finish was so positive. The estimate was fast, free, and our options were explained well by the owner, Dave. I could not believe what we were going to get for the price he was quoting. I always thought it was going to be too expensive because we are dealing with hardwood. I WAS WRONG. Dave was not pushy and answered all of our questions. He even came over the next day as a courtesy call to answer some more questions we had. After he answered those questions, we were sold. And for those of you who have been burned by bad work crews before, do not worry. The crew that showed up a week later was fast, courteous, and worked hard to make sure we got our home back ASAP. They did an outstanding job. Refinishing the old floors: For those of you thinking of having existing floors refinished, do it. No dust, the process is fast, and the end result is gorgeous. We had cracks, dents, mars, and water damage all over the original hardwood. They did such a nice job repairing it all, we had a natural finish put on it to show it off. Replacing/Installing new floors: For those of you who are thinking hardwood flooring is too expensive, it is not. We had endured someones bad DIY kitchen tile job for years after buying our house and thought that hardwood floors were too expensive as a replacement option. We were surprised to learn how affordable new floors are. We took out a wall between the living room and the kitchen, removed the kitchen tile, and Daves team seamlessly installed new hardwood throughout the kitchen and up to the original hardwood, matching it perfectly. I cannot recommend these guys enough. For a large family on a budget they did an amazing job, and the end result is stunning. In the end, we will actually make money because the resale value of the house just went way, way up. Woodfloor Masters will be invited back when we refinish the bedroom hardwood floors next year too. These guys do amazing work at an outstanding price.

Project done in timely manner and beautiful results!

This work done by Woodfloor Masters was August 20-23. The day after paying David Flock in full by check for refinishing my floors, as we were re-hanging drapes, we noticed two places where the woodwork had been significantly damaged, one on a piece of molding 9" x 1-1/4" and the other, 21" x 1". The broken pieces had been placed on the mantel. I emailed David immediately with photos. When I didn't get a replay, I sent a followup email the next day. Still no response. The third day I phoned, giving him the benefit of perhaps not having checked his email. He didn't answer, so I left a voice mail. He never returned my call. On August 31, I sent a third email, again asking that he make the repairs as soon as possible as I want to have the woodwork painted, and letting him know that, though I regretted it, if I didn't get a response that the repairs would be done promptly, I would have no option but to file complaints. As of this date, Sept. 3, I have heard nothing from him so today I filed a consumer complaint with the OR Dept. of Justice. If this produces no satisfactory result, I will file complaints with the OR and WA Contractors Boards. I am surprised and disappointed that this has become necessary. Otherwise, the work was done well and on time, and I would have gladly given him a much higher rating, but since he has refused to make good on the damages his workers caused, I cannot and would not recommend him to others. Addendum 9/24/2018: As a last resort, I sent David a certified letter stating I would be filing a complaint with the Contractors Board if the repairs were not made promptly. He then responded, and as of today, the repairs have been made. As stated above, I was pleased with the quality of the work of the floors, but I should not have had to spend this much time and effort to get the damages fixed.

Project went down hill quickly. And have had NO response from David, the owner. Below is a portion of the email I sent the owner after waiting a week for him to return a phone message I left him. David, Since you have not returned my phone call from____th, I thought I would contact you through email. I've listed the issues we have with the flooring job your company did for us. I was hoping you would have called me back to at least talk about the things I listed on your voice mail, but I guess since I paid in full at the end of the job(but couldn't get in to inspect job, because floors were wet from sealer), you don't care about our final satisfaction. I have pictures of most of the below issues. * False Advertising on your website. Your video on your site claims you show up at every job. We did not see you throughout the 8 days it took to finish a 3 day job. * The first staining they did left a darker area about 4 inches out from all edges of the area stained. And entry way had several large areas of dark and light strains. I had them re-sand and do again. The second staining is much more even throughout the floor areas. * I have stain on all kick plates of my new, 2 week old white cabinets. * Most of the cabinets have down to the wood, scrapes and dings on doors and sides. * A 2 inch wide x 5 Foot long stain on the carpet that runs next to the wood floor. * 2-quarter size spots of stain on the carpet near the wood floor area. * 4 stains on my 3 week old laundry room vinyl tile flooring. * Several stains on my garage floor where they stained the transition pieces. * They left without finishing the transition pieces. Took 8 days to finish job. * A 2 inch by 1/2 inch chunk of wood out of a door jam. * A 1/2 inch x 1 inch piece of BLUE fiber sealed into the floor. * Several 1 inch long fibers sealed into the floor. * Tiny bubbles and bumps over several areas of the floor. * A salad plate size stain on painted wall above the baseboard line. * Swirl marks in the stain. * Several door jams have 1/4 to 1/2 inch stain marks at their bases. All wood and door jams are white. * The guys ran out of clean rags to finish staining the floors. They asked if I had any white T-shirts they could use. I had to find 3-4 old white t-shirts for them. * Cigarette butts and a little plastic white tip from some sort of cigarette on the driveway. * Front double door transition board has stain marks. I will be adding this list of issues to my comments to the Home Advisor website, where I got your company name. I hate to post negative comments, but I don't see you trying to make amends or caring about how our job turned out and I feel other potential customers should know about your work ethic and job performance. We have been under remodel for 6 weeks and want this project done so we have taken care of several of the issues. Many of the issues can not be repaired without major expense and time. Kathy H.

David with Woodfloor Masters contacted me within hours of my completion of info on Homeadvisor. Gave me a quote and a team was at my home 3 days later doing a excellent job on my 1960's original wood flooring. I had a question about the floors after completion and David made a appointment and was at my home with an answer within 24 hours. Excellent work, clean work space, and great customer service.

We had one small thing that needed to be fix after the project was completed, I called David in the evening & he was at my house by 9am the next morning, now thats customer service! Can't be happier with how beautiful my floors look.

FANTASTIC! I am a picky customer I admit but when I mentioned something that I think needed fixing, David agreed completely, fixed and told me customer service meant everything! WOW!!!! After so many incompetent, inexperienced or dishonest contractors, David and his crew were a pleasant and welcomed relief. Thank you for a job well done!!!!

These guys are amazing! Great to work with. The previous owners of our new house flooded the downstairs right before close and they quickly adjusted our plan and worked with all parties to be sure everything was done right. They refinished stained and added in new Brazilian cherry. Amazing job quality and service!
