Mario from Woodworking by Design was the only person I could find who would tackle creating a custom threshold for our front door after the people who redid our floors left the threshold unfinished. All other carpenters and handymen I reached out to didn't even know where to start or simply said they don't do that type of work. Mario came over and began measuring right away and built from scratch a beautiful threshold that matched perfectly with the front door and the flooring inside. I admire Mario's "where there is a will there is a way" approach to things and his attention to functional and aesthetic detail. Since completing the threshold we've hired him to refinish our front door, build custom cabinets in the pantry above our stove, fix cracked tile in a bathroom and broken thresholds left by the company that redid our floors. Every project was done impeccably well and we couldn't be more satisfied with the results. Can't recommend Mario and Woodworking by Design enough!
