Zaks Construction

Ken Mers established a contract with us on 3/31/06. On this date he requested $950.00 for the materials to remodel our bathroom. He said our materials would be delivered in three weeks and that we would be able to pick out floor samples within the next couple days. He cashed our check the same day the contract was written. The materials never came, we never picked out samples, and Mr. Mers rarely returned our calls. He even set up appts with us and never showed up. After 2 months, we requested our money be paid back. After MANY untruthful phone conversations with him, he still has failed to provide a refund (it is 7/10/06).

I have tried calling him on several occasions and have not had a return call. He was suppose to start work yesterday and didn't show up.

4/25/06 - Contractor has still not returned down payment for supplies. BEWARE OF THIS CONTRACTOR/HANDYMAN. Date of contract was 2/10/06. Handyman only showed up once and worked a few hours framing in a closet and not up to fire code. Never delivered the materials that have been paid for. Our city asked him to return the money but we have not had any communication now for 3 weeks. He does not return calls or reply to letter requesting return of church keys. What else would we think but he has run off with church funds? Last contact(3 wks ago) he stated he was breaking the contract and returning our money.
