I hired them to refinish my basement, including installing an egress window. It is apparent now that they had no idea how to complete this project..they bought a double hung window, which is not your average egress window; he had laborers dig and install the window well, which was not a good idea, since they didn't even know what an egress window was..As a result,, they installed the wrong size well, did not affix it to my foundation, and did not dig out the area according to specifications. This resulted in my foundation being compromised, and instead of correcting the problem, he has decided to cancel our contract, due to "irreconcilable differences," like he is dissolving a marriage. The only differences we have is that he is not willing to make this window properly installed. I now have to hire knowledgeable people to repair his work, which will cost me another 2500... They were shocked at how shoddy this installation was. The basement work is fine, but many hiccups.
