Ed, the Tech arrived on time, inspected old (17 yr) opener that was not working and found that the motherboard, or the whole unit, would need to be replaced. Decided that after 17 years of use, it would be better to replace the old unit. Ed installed Liftmaster 8365 Premium Series 1/2HP AC Motor with 7' Chain Rail and tuned the rollers

I had really good service with them. They were prompt, courteous and they explained everything thoroughly.  <br /> <br />

John serviced us at least three times and did fine work. Unfortunately, he failed to follow-up to finish his work on his last visit and after repeated calls and his failure to appear when promised (3 times), we had to give up and find another provider. Very disappointing.

Prefect transaction from beginning to end. Highly recommend.

I called and John was able to arrive in 1 hour on a Saturday, which was great. I had a broken spring, so he replaced both springs on the garage door. The work went smoothly and he was done in less than an hour.

It took them 11 and a half hours to put the da#n door up.  The guy kept leaving.  They weren't here half of the times I had them put two gates up.  It took them two days to put the gates up.  They took the gates off and my dogs couldn't go to the bathroom because the back yard was wide open.  The wall that they supposedly fixed, several months later it looked just as bad as when they came.  Then there here all day.  The manager or whoever would just dump the guys and then leave.  I had to give them my 100 foot electric cord, I had to give them a shovel or something else, and then at the end of the night  they left with my equipment that I loaned them.  Just terrible, terrible.  I wanted to get them back to try to fix things and it wasn't even the right size.  I said all that money and I don't even have privacy.  You can see through the gate.  I had metal gates put up and they were suppose to put the composite wood and it's not the right size because you can see through it.  So you have all these barrels and blockades blocking so people don't poke things at my dog or whatever.  I have never had good luck with these people.  It's a crap shoot.  That's why I'm not renewing this.  It's too stressful.  I don't see how there on your list.

Notificed A-1 of a clunking sound with a potential broken spring.  They came out on a Saturday afternoon.  Examined the problem and confirmed that the spring had indeed broken.  We opted to replace both springs as they are the same age and he had this done in about an hours time.  Garage door is back to working order!  This is our second time working with A-1 Advantage and I would use them again in the future.  Thanks! <br />

What a kind gesture from this pleasant man; as soon as he read our email, he called back within 30 mins and was out to do repair of garage door. Would not hesitate to call again for any garage door issue <br />

That one went well.  I like their punctuality, price and how quickly they got the job done.

They did very good job and I am very pleased with them. I will be using them in future if needed.

I am going on year now attempting to get these parts mailed to me. The last conversation I had with John was that he would re-order the accessories because he advised me that they showed "delivered" but possibly went to the wrong house. I trusted that he re-ordered but again I have yet to see anything.

Called A-1 Advantage on Sunday because our garage door spring broke and we could not open the garage.  I was given a 2 hour window of when to expect some to arrive.  They arrived early with the window, examined the problem.  Recommendations were made on the work that needed to be done with pricing.  Work was completed within an hour.  The garage door  and opener were adjusted and tested.  Technician was very professional, friendly, and didn't try to sell items that were not needed.  I thought the pricing was very fair.  I had expected to pay $300-350 just for the springs, based on information I had found on Angie's List.  I am very pleased with the whole experience with A-1 Advantage Garage Door Service. <br />

john was courteous and professional. got the job done quickly and with care. I will use him in the future. <br />

The garage door wasn’t opening all the way and my daughter backed into it and dented it.  Instead of replacing the whole garage door, he put a stabilizer bar across the bottom inside of the garage and you would never know that it was ever fixed.  He didn’t rip us off and he saved a lot of money.

<p>I called them this morning and spoke to the owner, John. He said they were running a special on replacing garage door springs. I had checked other places and his price was the best. His technician, Michael, came promptly, within the two hour window. Michael was very nice and explained everything as he was repairing the door. </p> <p>While I was in the garage with him, my two year old granddaughter, locked the dead bolt to the door and I could not get back in the house. We banged, pleaded and yelled, but we could not hear her. I was worried something had happened to her! Michael volunteered to drill the lock out at no cost. He did so and we got back in right away and found her scared, but safe. He even swept up the metal pieces from the drilling!</p> <p>I am very grateful to Michael and to his company for wonderful service above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you Michael, and Advantage very much!</p> <br />
