They were excellent. They came out very quickly. I got more than my money’s worth. The price was excellent and the work was beautiful. Every bit of moulds or spots were all removed. Everything looked clean and lovely when they were done.

They did a good job.  They were on time and did what they said they would do.  They left everything clean.  I had no problems.

Ok.  I think that they were here for 20 minutes. <br />

<p>He was a nice guy.  He fixed a couple of small issues in the fireplace and didn't charge anything for it.  I'd use him again.</p> <br />

They did a really good job. They were really nice to work with. I got them from Angie's List. Their professionalism and clean-up was excellent. Their punctuality was very good.

It went well. They were prompt and very courteous. They came in and performed the work. We had some followup and the very next day came back and took care of that and the job was done. They did a really good job.

I used this vendor because of a Groupon offer.  With all the other Groupon holders there must have been, I wouldn't have been surprised that it would take a while to get the visit scheduled.  What I did *not* expect was that I would spend more than 2 weeks trying to reach the provider, without a return of a phone call.  Finally, I called a phone number I found on the Internet, instead of the one on the Groupon.  Both phone numbers were correct for the company, but the Internet number was answered. <br /> When the visit was scheduled, the work was done well.  The provider offered to provide some additional services at a discounted rate as recompense for the difficulties I'd had.  I agreed, and he was to call.  He never did, and I decided that there was no need to invest further in a business that seemed to me to have more work than it could handle. <br />

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was physically fine. I chose them because they had a Big Deal going on. One person came out to do the work and they did a good job cleaning up after themselves. There was no trace of them being there. I am completely satisfied with what they did. I was not here when he did the work, but I believe he was professional.

Everything was fine.  They provided the service that I had asked for.

I had the chimney swept as part of an Angie's List big deal so it should have been for a set price.  The technician indicated that additional work was required, of which I authorized part of what he recommended for significant extra cost.  I have since had another chimney sweep (and prior to A1 had a different guy out) and neither indicated that there were any problems.  I felt forced into paying for additional work that I'm not sure was needed.

This service was several years ago, but I do not have any reason to have a negative opinion about the service provider.  I received exactly what I asked for. <br />

They suggested that we needed to do a lot of work on our chimney and warned of fire if we did not do it immediately.  I was disappointed with the hard sell.

Our driveway was in need of sealing and had several cracks.  Contractor informed me the AL deal was for "one coat", even though the deal didn't really say that.  After paying extra for the second and third coats, my driveway still looks very mottled - concrete-like in some areas, milky-white in others.  I wasn't really happy with the outcome. <br />

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it went okay. They promised that there wasn't going to be any residue, they made it sound like everything they would do would be clean. I have off white couching and my carpet is off white. I offered to put sheet on my couches and carpets but they said that I didn't need to it, and everything was covered with a very fine coating. You couldn't see it, but you could after you touched it, and I had to vacuum it. They did do the job, and they were acting like it was clean, but it wasn't. They didn't have any plastic covering the chimney from inside.  The price of the big deal was fine.

      We have a wood fireplace that has 3 individual sides. I ordered the 3 pieces from a dealer (manufacturer went out of business). They sent 3 pieces that didn't quite fit right and A1 chimney fixed it perfectly. There was a bit more involved but I don't remember the details. Great job and we will continue using them. <br />

The technicians showed up on time and were friendly and professional.  But once they were finished, they tried to say there were some safety issues with the firebox and wanted to sell us some additional repairs.  I was surprised by this because we had had the house inspected 4 years before by a very reputable home inspector who told us that everything looked good and since the chimney was stainless steel we would probably never have a problem with it.  As a result, I had another chimney sweep come look at the firebox and chimney and he thought everything was fine, that there were no safety issues. <br /> I felt they tried to upsell us on repairs we did not need.  I hate to give any company a bad report, but I would not use them again, nor would I recommend them. <br />

told me it needed a new crown and cap though I had just had that done a year earlier. <br />
