Our experience with them has been excellent but I cannot remember how much their services cost. The owner of the company is a personal friend of ours and we have known him for years. They are prompt and very fast to get to what you need and that is important when your air conditioning unit is down or your heater. They seem to be really reasonably priced unless the owner is giving me a deal because I am a friend, I do not know, but they have been really good to us.

<p>This provider was assigned to me as part of my home warranty, so the service fee was a flat 75.00. I called because there was a musty odor coming from my heating unit. The tech was very helpful and detailed in his investigation. It turns out the pea trap that the heater and humidifier was draining into was dry. The tech went into the crawlspace to check out the pipes. He hooked up a temporary fix by adding some extra piping near the drain by the heater where I could add additional water to the pea trap. The real fix would need to be done by a plumber.</p> <br />

System works great for now.......am likely looking to replace it, but this fix has bought me some time. <br />

We were first introduced to A-1 Professional via a home warranty company claim many years ago, but quickly realized that this company is a cut above anyone we've worked with in that industry. We now give them ALL of our hvac work, whether under warranty or not. We have had them do everything from simple repairs, to deep refurbs, furnace replacement and at multiple properties.They are extremely honest and their expertise is top notch. We trust them completely and they have never let us down in dozens of service events. Any complaints I have heard about this company generally involve a warranty company. Those complaints should be targeted at the warranty company/companies, not this contractor. Keep in mind that any contractor working through a home warranty company has their hands tied completely as it is generally the warranty company's goal to do the least amount possible to patch/repair a broken system. Yet, I have seen A-1 (time and time again) do the right thing and make the best of a challenging situation. I will continue to use this contractor, regardless of whether I have a warranty claim or it's on my own dime. In case anyone is wondering, I have no affiliation with A-1, other than being a satisfied customer of theirs for roughly 20 years. It's my pleasure to give A-1 Professional Heating and A/C my top recommendation. <br />

On Wednesday, July 11th, one of our AC units stopped working. It is very hot this time of year and we immediately notified our Home Warranty company of the problem. They told us that we would receive a call the next day. The next morning a woman called from A-1 to schedule a time for a technician to visit. We had to wait for one day following her call. For us this was not a significant issue as we have a second unit that cools the sleeping areas. The technician arrived promptly as scheduled and immediately began to diagnose our problem. He had the part he needed available and replaced the capacitor in our AC unit. He also explained to us how to clean the condensor coils so we could lower our electric bills and extend the life of the unit. Because our AC is covered under a home warranty we received when we purchased our home, the cost was only 60 dollars. Normally this repair is considerably more. Our technician was professional and personable and we would definitely call him for service again.

It was covered by our home warranty so it was a flat $65 service fee. The man was very prompt. He explained everything and showed us how to service the other units so that we could do that on our own.
