Went really well! <br /> <br /> 1. Air Conditioning repair:  one of my A/Cs stopped working.  It turned out to be a pretty big breakdown in the unit, but the guys were on it.  They were able to figure out how to access the unit (it's in the ceiling, so it's pretty tricky).  They had all the parts in the truck that they needed.  They also took the time to show me what was wrong and explain what they were doing.  They even showed me additional filters to be changed (they were hidden in the ceiling).  As a bonus, they had some filters that they gave me - installed them in both of my A/C units (the broken and non broken one).  (Approx cost: $750 - including all parts and labor.)  Once the A/C was fixed, they turned it on, and used a machine to take the exact temperature of the air coming out of the vent. <br /> <br /> 2. Nest installation: I had purchased the Nest a while ago.  I thought about installing them myself, but erred on the side of caution and went with a professional.  I'm glad I did.  They had both Nest units up and running in no time flat! Plus, they knew of another switch to press to turn off the power to the A/C, rather than having to turn off all the power in my unit via the circuit breaker.  (Cost: $200 total for both unit installs) <br /> <br /> I also really appreciated that they took the time to cleanup.  They asked me for my vacuum cleaner, and vacuumed when they finished.  They moved paintings off the wall without my having to ask (paintings that were not directly blocking what they were doing, but could have been accidentally hit in the process).  They even moved my heavy bed in order to access the thermostat...and remembered to move it back! <br /> <br /> Bonus: I forgot to mention, one of the guys heard some noise coming from the vent, controlled by the working A/C.  He said "that's not right" and adjusted the grille so that the noise stopped!!!

Perfectly! I called expecting to leave a message and then having to schedule a future appointment, but was pleasantly surprised when not only did the owner answer the phone, he was available the same day! He and his assistant arrived not even an hour later. They repaired my oven in no time at all and even cleaned it for me while it disassembled. Great service! Very happy with them! <br />

I scheduled a call to fix my stove for between 8am and 10am, and was told the technician would call before he arrived. He called just before eight, and showed up less than ten minutes later. Andy was extremely professional at all times, and was able to quickly service my stove, even showing me the exact issue. Admittedly, my problem was extremely simple, but I appreciated his efficiency and honesty about the problem. <br /> I would absolutely use them again! <br />

Called the provider regarding the refrigerator's freezing temperature. The technician came on the agreed date and time and fix the refrigerator's temperature. <br />

So far, so good. I am calling them again to replace another one.

I thought the guy was initially rude on the phone. It turned out okay, but I didn't like him initially. Other than that they did a good job.

They came out and fixed our stove, and when it needed further repair they didn't hesitate to come back for free. Highly recommend! <br />

Our central heating conked out during a recent cold snap and A-1 Service was able to schedule someone to come out on the same day to take a look at it. I had already run the self diagnostic on the heater and found that it was the inducer motor so I didn't think it would turn out to be a problem . . . . and happily, it wasn't. <br /> Amir, our technician, was perfectly prompt, wasted no time in checking out the situation, and confirmed the problem (the inducer motor and nothing else so there was no hard upsell or anything like that). Unfortunately the part wasn't in stock, so it had to be ordered and we waited a couple of days, but the office staff was very good in keeping us informed of the progress. <br /> When the part arrived, Amir returned that same day and installed it. No muss, no fuss. They even deducted the original service call fee from the total. <br /> <br />

He did a pretty good job; he had to come back twice with the parts but he did fix it. He was knowledgeable and he diagnosed the problem, which was a broken water line and he fixed it. I was happy with the job he did. I would use A-1 Service Appliances Inc. again in the future.

They sent a technician (Pedro Moran) he told me I would need a compressor for about $750 and ndash; 800). I paid $50 for the call and told him I needed to think about it. He then called back and said he could get it cheaper if I paid him directly because he had coupons. He replaced the compressor and left me his card. Now, a few months later, it is broken again. I called the number on his card, and he tells me he moved to Florida! A-1 tells me they have no record. AND THEY DO NOT HAVE ANYONE WHO CAN FIX THE DANBY WINE COOLER!!! Nor are they willing to assist in any way. I called another service person who told me the compressor had NEVER been replaced. He had simply put a pearson access valve in which is a temporary fix. The cooler had to be discarded. Danby did not help either. They are in Canada

It went very well. Miguel found the problem within 5 minutes and had it fixed in about 20 minutes. He had to make a part to solve the problem. He is very knowledgeable and professional.

They were excellent in all aspects of their service.

These people are phenomenal. He went right to work on the refrigerator and created a temporary solution so I wouldn't lose all of the food in the regrigerator and freezer. He called the part in right away and when it got here he was back out to fix everything. I'll definitely use them again.

Our refrigerator stopped working - the autodefrost stopped autodefrosting, and so we called A-1 Appliance Service. They came out and replaced a part (the thermostat). It took a few days for the refrigerator to frost up, and for us to know it wasn't working. That happened, and they came and replaced the thermostat again - they said that the part they fitted was defective. Then it stopped again, and so they replaced the heater, (charging us again). They were absolutely correct to replace the first part, it's just that now the heater didn't work. Then 3 days later, it stopped working again, and they came and replaced a switch. Over the course of about 2 months they came to repair the refrigerator 13 times (they stopped charging us after about the 6th visit, by which time they had replaced every part that they could have replaced). When the refrigerator stopped working, the freezer also stopped, meaning that the frozen food melted - we stopped buying frozen food, so we didn't have to throw it out. Eventually we gave up and called someone else, who almost laughed at the ineptitude with which the fridge had been put back together, rewired the whole thing, replaced a couple of parts (again!) and the fridge has worked ever since.
