Chris arrived hours before the scheduled time. He had already inspected the exterior before we arrived. We know Chris because he’s inspected 2 houses for us before. We requested Chris because this house was being sold “as is” and we wanted a thorough inspection. As always, Chris did an excellent job. He’s friendly, knowledgable , patient and it’s obvious he enjoys his work. We received the insect report on the evening of the inspection and the report on the house the next evening. We were able to make an informed decision quickly.

Where to begin with this BS inspection agency. I purchased my home back in October 2014. My real estate agent recommended Chris H and A-pro for the home inspection. $525 later, with a few minor discrepancies that the original home owner took care of, I moved right in to my new home. I had an electric dryer, and there was a 240V outlet in the laundry room. I plugged my dryer in, and of course, no power. I had an electrician do a service call, and he explained to me that the outlet wasn't getting any power at all. He even showed me at the circuit panel that the previous owner, since he had a gas dryer, used the breakers that were meant for the dryer, for the above ground pool (which the inspector didn't look at AT ALL EITHER). I checked my inspection report, and it clearly stated that I had a WORKING 240V outlet. So, after $250 service call from the electrician, I called A-pro to make a claim for reimbursement. Chris H's response: "It's not my job to check every outlet." Really? Not only did he not check the ONLY 240V outlet, but he said it was working in his report. About a week of arguing through my real estate agent, A-pro finally caved and sent me a check for $200, with the contingency that I would sign away my rights to come after him for anything else that he missed. Unfortunately, I agreed to do so. Fast forward a year and a half, I recently have been looking into solar panels. My roof is roughly 10 years old, not exactly old, but 20 years is a lot to ask for a 10 year old roof. I had a professional roofing company inspect the roof. The laundry list of things wrong with my roof made my jaw drop. According to the roofers, the problems I have with my roof (dry rot, poor ventilation, wet plywood, leaks, split banisters, mold, bowing of some of the plywood) were way too much to even consider putting panels up. Furthermore, this has been an ongoing problem that the building inspector should have caught. He didn't, and now I am going to have to pay thousands of dollars to replace my roof. Thanks a lot, Chris. DO NOT use this company. If your real estate agent recommends him to you, tell them to F off. Find your own inspector, someone you trust to do the job right. I would rather have spent $1000 on a solid inspection, than $525 for a go ahead on purchasing a home that needed serious repairs. AVOID A PRO IN BAYPORT AT ALL COSTS

The inspection, as always, was thorough, the discussion after was patient and detailed as was the report. The summary efficiently represented the troublesome areas of the home that were reflected in the detailed report.
