Landscaping company did not contact us. We called the company and were told they were booked out through December. When we told them that we paid for services through an Angie's List ad for them, we were told to ask for our money back.

Took payment and never heard from them.....reauested refund

Getting the install scheduled was difficult: our calls were often unreturned and when we called on our own, we were not able to schedule the install. It wasn't until we threatened to cancel that a date was scheduled for installation. When the patio was installed, there were no borders to keep the pacers in place, leaving us to perform that work on our own. He have also had to add an additional 3 bags of sand to fill the cracks and complete that patio. The pacers look great and the work was done very quickly but the challenges in scheduling and the incomplete work preclude us from using this business again in the future.

I thought the work went well. My only concern was there shoudl have been more gravel added to back of the retaining wall.

It went well. They're good workers.

Wall is lovely- BuT not as agreed upon. No gravel behind wall that I can find. West end at least 1 row too low. not color agreed upon, extra work not completed as agreed . Block to be removed and placed on garden was instead broken up and put behind block leaving large holes that animals took up residence in. metal fence posts were bent behind wall instead or removed. I never received a plan of project. Sprinkler head was removed and then end buried under wall instead of just marking where the end was. I wrote a much more detailed description but the site crashed and I do not have time to repeat. Angie's recommends that I write this review as part of the process of working out difficulties. I agreed to pay extra for the last bit of old block and few posts to be removed- which I have not done yet. They did leave the surrounding area clean. It was fine. It was good. I paid more because there was more square footage. It was excellent work and good quality. The workers were fine and good. They did exactly what they said they were going to do.

They did a great job. Everything was cleaned up, exceeding my expectations.

I had used this provider last year and had a basically satisfactory experience, and I believe I rated them significantly higher last time.  This time I tried repeatedly to contact the vendor over the month after purchase, with no response to any of my messages.  When I finally decided to contact Angies List directly, the 30 warranty period had just ended.  So they offered to find another vendor to do the work, but they were unsuccessful.  A few days later I heard from the original vendor, who contacted me but didn't acknowledge that I had left 3 messages for him with no response over the last month.   So I agreed to schedule the work, he showed up to take a look at the area, and agreed to come back and do the work the following week.  They did show up then and put in the pavers, but left after without letting me know or allowing me to review the work with them (poor form.)  About a week later I realized that on the original portion of the patio they had secured the pavers with plastic edging anchors, to keep the pavers in place.  This was NOT done on the just-completed work.  Having suffered through poor communication with the vendor, I decided to go ahead and do this myself, although after the fact it means digging up some of the sand along the edge of the pavers and securing the edging anchors before covering the edging anchors back up again.  <br> <br>The bottom line is that it took too long to schedule the work, and when it was done it was not done to the same quality the same vendor had done the year before -- and left us to remediate the missing edging anchors.  I would not recommend using this vendor. <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br>

It was the second time we used them. I'm not very happy with them because they put down some wood 2x4s before they did the cement. They said they would come back the next day to remove the cement and finish the job. They still have not come back and it has been over a month and half. I called them twice asking them when they would come and both times Rockey said that one of his men would stop by soon. We prepaid and we agreed for the dollar amount on Angie's List. When he came out, he tried to charge $100 more. We persuaded him to $50 more. But we didn't pay him because we had to pay him when he comes back to take the boards out. They did a little bit of a sloppy job. I asked them if they could come back and put a small amount of cement where they missed a spot and they said, "No." The first time, we had cement pavers put in our backyard. They demolished the old cement ground and then we had cement pavers put in. They did a fine job. But they really tore apart our lawn and we had to ask them to come back and reseed it. They didn't reseed well. So we had to pay another person to help us reseed it. When we asked them if it was normal to have our lawn torn up so much, they just said, "Yes. That's normal. That's just part of the job."

The cost stated in the Angie's List add only covered a third of the work to be done. Felt it was misleading or not realistic. Would make more sense to make the arrangements 1st & then make the payment asked for if we came to terms to do the work.

They were on time as per the agreement and completed with great day quality. There were some issues with supplier about the color, rocky was able to resolve the issue and get us the right color and complete on time. <br />

We plan to have the crew come back to do an even larger area in spring 2016.  They were fast and very good at what they do.  They do so much work around the area, make sure you have your deal printed out so you can be sure you pay the correct remaining balance. <br />

Overall, I was pleased with the outcome of the project. There was a minor communication problem when speaking over the phone, but that was resolved when using text. <br /> We wanted to install a patio to help sell our home and time was crucial to schedule someone to come out in late summer. Rocky fast to respond to our first call and came out within a few days to scope the work. What I didn't realize at the time was that he does not provide any designs, but did provide his input with the best way to layout the bricks and slope. Also, scheduling was given vaguely and no estimated times provided, other than we will be out sometime in Sept. <br /> Once we decided on a pattern and provided to Rocky, he then said we were scheduled out to Oct.  I expressed my concern with the timing and the initial expectation to complete in Sept. He was kind and responded by switching other jobs to accommodate our 2-day project. He was always patient and kind to work with. <br /> His staff that installed were very knowledgeable, professional and finished the job on-time. <br /> Overall, I am pleased with using A-1 Rocky Landscaping once we were able to get past the communication and expectation barriers.  If you know what you want, have the plans and design, then I would recommend to use them. <br />
