"Hello John Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I would like to respond to your review and provide clarification regarding the circumstances surrounding your project. First, I do not agree with the characterization of your kitchen as a garbage. All work performed by my team and licensed subcontractors was completed based on the design you provided and in accordance with applicable building requirements and code standards. Unfortunately, we were not given the opportunity to complete the project, as we were denied access to the property before final completion. My company has a strong history of positive reviews, which reflects our commitment to quality work and professional relationships with our clients. All projects we undertake are completed based on approved plans and the scope outlined in the contract. Requests for additional work outside of the agreed scope are subject to additional cost, as outlined in our standard contract terms. Your project could have been completed; however, payment for completed work and materials was declined, and additional work was requested that was not included in our original agreement. I do not perform additional work without proper authorization and compensation. At the start of the project, all new plumbing was installed by a licensed and qualified plumber. The work was completed correctly and would have passed inspection had permits and inspections been pursued. You chose not to proceed with the permitting process, which prevented rough inspections from being conducted. While I understand your dissatisfaction, the project remained incomplete due to the decision not to allow us to finish the work. We maintained communication throughout the project, including daily and weekly coordination for days of work, and I have documented records of these communications. While there were some delays, they were not caused by my team or subcontractors. All aspects of the work were properly coordinated on our end. Regarding the kitchen layout, the design provided required revisions after installation had already begun. You later requested the removal of an island cabinets that was designed and installed by another party, as it was too close to the door. This change required redoing OUR plumbing and electrical work that had already been completed. I advised at that time that these changes would result in additional costs, as rework was not part of the original scope AND NOT OUR MISTAKE. As outlined in our contract, wall and ceiling preparation and painting were to be completed after cabinet installation. While the preparation work was completed, the final coat of paint was intentionally scheduled as one of the last steps. The project was halted before this stage could be reached. Regarding the exposed beam, the agreed-upon finish was clear wrapping. An error was made while I was not present, and I immediately offered to correct it. Unfortunately, we were not given the opportunity to do so once the project was discontinued. I have extensive documentation, including texts and emails, that reflect our efforts to resolve these issues and complete the project. Approximately $18,000 in completed work and materials remains unpaid, despite there being only a few days of work remaining at the time the project was stopped. I am genuinely sorry that this project did not reach completion and regret that your experience was not a positive one. If you would like to discuss this further, I remain open to having a conversation. Please feel free to contact me directly. Thank you and take care."
