"we have won Remodeler of the year two years in a row from two different sources. we could not achieved this without taking good care of our work. the home owner choose the paint and the day that he demanded it was painted. the date it was applied the moisture meter showed a percentage within the specs as stated on the can. the only way this material could be applied was to be rolled on with two coats. however it does no matter if was rolled or sprayed, paint will bond to the pores of the wood even according to the manufacture of the paint. the home owners wood was in state of deterioration due to no previous care. many month later the home owner stated they were so pleased with the work they wanted us to do more work on they're home. the home owner provided a long list, from painting bedrooms, installing countertops, backsplash to building new bedrooms in basement. we turned down the work. that's when the complaints started. we've done a lot of decks since then no issues."

"the door in which lee purchased was built by upside down at the plant. it took 2 months for it arrive so lee did not want to wait for another after the factory sent instruction on how to rebuild. so we rebuilt the door. when we were done, Member and I tested the door over and over again. opening and closing it, locking and unlocking. Lee stated he's happy with the outcome and paid the bill. the wall was built plumb, level and according to local building code. base, chair rail and proper drywall methods were used. no short cuts. the plaster did loose bond to the wall. I returned to replanted and prime. Lee called with one more thing to do however when I came I could not get to his house. the entire road was being ripped up and his drive way was gone. left vm. for him telling him I can't get down his road. what do you want me to do? I received back an email telling me he'll paint the wall himself."

"Let me be clear. I did not lie to the member or anyone. I have saved everything as a record of our agreement. emailed specifications on work and estimate of cost before pictures after pictures all her emails all of her voice mails if anyone want to see them as proof of what went on and the quality of the work I would be happy to show to you. The memberwas on site and over my shoulder everyday and every hour, god bless her, that I was working at her bathroom. It was my pleasure, at the time, to assist her in her effort to list her home and when she stated  "it looks wonderful!" then paid the bill I was pleased to be there for her. The first amount was quoted as an estimate.  I charge her an additional 25 dollars for 1 hour of plumbing and parts  and an addition 45 dollars for paint cost, she was going to provide paint originally but did not. I did tell her that the plumbing to the shower needed additional time and parts to make the new faucet system work. She stated, "OK. I understand." total additional amount was 70 dollars I gave 10% off on the original estimated amount, 120 dollars Days after the work was completed she left me 3-5 minute long voice mails, stating she is demanding that I come back and repaint or give her money back. not because of the color she selected but because of sheen. she selected a paint sample in flat but now wanted a different sheen.  I told due to the fact the house was built and walls plastered in 1820 a sheen deeper then a flat will cause the imperfection to be noticed regardless of the skim coating. I was in fact willing to come back and do something for her however then she started with the threats and calling others and slandering me, stating that I lied to her about the cost, paint, materials, licensing, and more according to those she spoke with I decided that she had gone to far and stated I won't be doing anything for her. I have made it clear to her, that the people she slandered my name to are ready to serve as a witness and that I have contacted my attorney. I was willing to help her out with her issues. However for 5 full days she saw the work before issuing payment then stated while writing the check, "it looks wonderful!" then trashes my name to others including here on Angie's List because she's not getting what she wants is inexcusable behavior."

"With respect, the original quotation was an estimate. I informed her the deck may or may not need additional coverage. We coated her deck three times per her request after the second coat. Yes. My painter accidentally got some of the weather proofing on her siding which we removed within 2 days. We did have a rain delay over a week. In which we stayed in contact with the client about this. The orginal quotation was based on square footage, 5 gallons, however after she demanded that we coat it again we used a total of 10 Cost per gallon 17.00 Total cost 180.00 Total labor hours 9 My total cost for her deck 378.00 estimated quotation 300 Completed price 322.00 Total square footage 400 I could have charged carol more based on her demand to add a third coat. She stated that she could see areas not covered by the weather seal. However I demonstrated to her that it's been covered, she said "alright. I see your point"."
