She arrived on time, examined the locks, showed that the door lock was defective, went to pick up a new one, installed it, and re-keyed the dead bolt lock.  Both work fine. <br /> <br />

Joyce was great.  She was wonderful with our dog in training who isn't always the easiest to deal with.  I called and she setup appointments and showed up to them all promptly, she was running a few minutes late on one of the days she came out but she called in advance to let me know - very considerate. <br /> I walked her through what i was looking to have done, she gave me a bunch of options and we decided on a plan.  She came back two days later and knocked it all out.  Everything works great, was done correctly, she left NO mess at all.  Wonderful to work with and I would definitely hire again. <br />

Very professional.  Absolutely knows what she is doing.  She will evaluate before doing anything.  Took the time to take apart and replace tiny springs (she had to go to hardware store for these) in two older locks. Other locks were cleaned and tightened.  She had to work around other service providers in the house and was very patient.  Would use again! <br />

This is the second time we have replaced this particular lockset.  Joyce adjusted the door so that it now opens more easily and is much easier to lock.  She was extremely professional and gave us a few tips on how to ensure that this lockset lasts.  Overall we would rate her as one of the best Angie's List people we have dealt with. <br />

Over the phone, Joyce asked the right questions to get a clear picture of the problem.  She arrived when she said she would and had the replacement part with her.  <br />

As stated above, the doorknob came off my 90-year-old front door on the inside.  I then could not open the door without tools, and then not at all easily.  I tried to repair it myself, to no avail, so I turned to Angie's List for a good locksmith familiar with old doors and locks.  AAD Security Locksmith stated in their Angie's List description that old locks were one of their specialities.  So, without further ado, I called Joyce at AAD.  We made an appointment for the next day, at a mutually convenient time.  I knew that she had a prior appointment.   Joyce called me at the time of our appointment and said she was running a bit late because her prior appointment took longer than anticipated, and that she would be at my house within 25 minutes, which she was.  Although the prior appointment delayed Joyce's schedule a bit, i felt that she no doubt did a thorough job at that person's home, and I would get the same treatment.  I was not disappointed. <br /> Joyce first got the door opened, which was no easy task.  She assessed what needed to be done, and needed a part that she did not have in her truck (this is an old door with an odd lock, so this came as no surprise to me).  She went off and purchased the part, plus a back-up doorknob since my old one's threads were not in the greatest shape after 90 years.  She did the necessary repairs, but warned me that the old doorknob, which I wanted to continue to use if at all possible, may not stay on the spindle due to deterioration.  However, it is now on the door, and working fine for now.  If it should fall off in the future, I now have a new spindle, plus replacement glass knobs if needed.  BUT, Joyce was not yet done!  She detected that the doors hinges were not tight, causing the door to open too low, so she tightened all the hinges.  She lubricated all the locks, including the bolt lock on the storm door.  She also adjusted that lock so that it opened and closed more smoothly.  All the while, she explained very clearly what she was doing and why.  She did not charge extra for the additional work; I sensed that she simply detected some problems that most homeowners would not notice (I certainly didn't), and fixed them.  Although I did not notice the more minor problems that she fixed before she worked on them, I definitely noticed the improvement in the locks and the door's opening and closing.   In sum, Joyce did a great job, and I highly recommend her to anyone needing an experienced, thorough, and professional locksmith. <br />

Punctual and professional. Very knowledgeable about old locks.  It took longer than we thought, and cost more than we thought it would, but it works fine, which is what we wanted. <br />

She came out and re-keyed everting. It passed the inspection with the fire department with flying colors. Because I was in a hurry to get it, she came out right away.  There was not enough time for her to finish, and she came back the next Monday and was very nice about it. She had to change the hardware on the one door, but managed to make everything else work.

Joyce was called to either install or rekey deadbolts and other locks within the home. She provided an estimate on a phone call, sounded knowledgeable and efficient so we hired her. <br /> <br /> She arrived on time and got right to work. She made recommendations on making things a little safer which I appreciated. She didn't leave a mess which I also appreciated - there was nothing to clean up after she left. <br /> <br /> I would hire her again as I felt her prices were fair and her work was excellent. <br /> <br />

Joyce was here 15 minutes early and went right to work. She was professional and knew just what had to be done. She rekeyed the deadbolts and door locks. She was professional and clean. I would recommend this company. The cost was about 225. Which we thought was fair as it took some time to rekey all the locks. <br />

The original lock (from the 1920s) on my front door had jammed, and I removed the tenon so that the door wouldn't be permanently locked ( I use a deadbolt lock to secure the door, not the old lock).  However, the knobs were so loose I was concerned that they would fall off. I chose Joyce because she advertised that she worked on old locks.  She came out a couple of days later and spent about an hour working patiently on the tenon.  She removed the tenons from the case so that they wouldn't get locked and reinstalled the case, then tightened the knobs. She was very pleasant and easy to deal with, and I got done exactly what I wanted. <br />
