Very pleased with service provided by Aardema electric. They have assisted us with electrical issues several times, professional, efficient and a pleasure to work with. Pete worked us in when we encountered electrical issues that would have held up our construction job and took care of the problems right away. Our construction crew was able to continue working with no delay. We will surely be calling him again next time we need an electrician.
I have used AArdema Electric twice and both experiences were outstanding. Pete and his team do quality work, quickly and for a fair price. Highly recommended.
Pete and his crew did an excellent job. They installed the panels in record time and for a great price. I was very happy with the job they did, and felt very comfortable that I could trust their work.
My panels have been working great now for almost a year and I couldn't be happier. Inspector had no corrections and approved the work without any issues. Pete and his guys have done work for me in the past, and I would definitely recommend him to others. I've always been very happy with their work, and Pete is great to work with.

Great experience. Pete charged the exact fee of his initial estimate, and even came out for a second visit the day after initial repairs in order to run a dedicated line to our pool pump (which was not part of the initial bid). His colleague spent a fair amount of time troubleshooting a short circuit in our garage and guest house, and repaired those problems with new wiring. He even loaned us a 50 amp cable to feed a subpanel in our kitchen during construction -- for free -- with constrction scheduled to last 4-6 months!
Super impressed. Will definitely us Aardema in the future.

My experience was outstanding!! On time, on schedule, under budget, passed City inspection with no issues at all. Would I recommend and hire again? Absolutely!!
I was having a solar system installed and needed my electric panel to be upgraded. I sent inquires to most of the Angieslist electricians and received several responses. Most replied politely with prices ranging from $1900 to $3000. Instead of just giving me a "standard price", Pete understood that not every job takes the same amount of work, so he asked for a photo or two of what was I had and what I wanted to be done. We talked a little, emailed a little, and texted a little. In the end he gave me a quote for the job, and what would and would not be included (stucco patching). He's an electrician, not a handyman. This was common amongst all the electricians I received responses from.
His price was by far the best by at least 25%. Even having to get my own stucco guy, I was $500 ahead than the next closest quote. Now, full disclosure....we had time to plan this project out. To help me save money, I asked if I could pull the City permit. No problem. This was not an emergency fix. SDGE was taking 3 weeks to schedule disconnects, so we picked the soonest date SDGE could do their thing and he booked it on his schedule.
Day of installation? Nasty weather. He could have easily blown it off. If that had happened, my whole solar install would have slipped and not have made its end of year install deadline. Nope, rain or shine, he was going to be there. I set up a pop up shelter and it worked out perfect. SDGE disconnected at 8:30 and Pete went to work. By noon, the panel was in with breakers and all. Now we just needed the City inspector to sign off. Inspector shows up, and it doesn't take 5 minutes for the approval. Inspector compliments Pete on the install and professional touches indicating he doesn't get many that are that well done. It doesn't get any better than that!!
Here's another thing?., Codes have changed since the house was built and the electrical installed. We expected to have to re-do the "cold water bond". As it turned out, the existing "cold water bond" was sufficient for the new panel. What did he do? He lowered the cost of the job. How many others would have still charged?
SDGE showed up, hooked us back up, and between the two of us had all the breakers figured out to what they controlled. Start to finish was less than 6 hours.
I couldn't be happier with the job and outcome. Pete Aardema knows what he's doing. They're good, they're honest, they'll work with you, and they are affordable.

Pete was very good fixing the problem. The pull chain broke off inside the unit. I took it apart and tried to fix it myself, but was not able to get to the unit with the chain....so much for being a home mechanic! Pete made one short stop here to get the unit apart. He didn't have a replacement part with him, and to save time I went to Fan Diego store for the replacement, and he installed it on another visit a few days later. Problem solved. He is very friendly and worked well. I am having him back soon to repair another ceiling fan that has quit working.
When I first contacted the owner to schedule an appointment, he said he did not have his appointment book with him but would find it and phone me back. He did not phone me and after four days, I phoned him again. He finally remembered me and set an appointment for four days hence. His helper Eric showed up on time. Eric was courteous, clean and did the work in a fast and efficient manner. Mr. AArdema showed up before Eric started the job and conferred with Eric on the materials needed and the job.
I was very pleased with Eric, I requested a second exterior outlet be installed and Eric said he could do it at the same time. I paid an additional $125 in the form of a check to Aardema Electric. I would be happy to have Eric perform more electrical work for me.
They were unclear about what work was included in the bid. They do quality work just make sure you ask them "will this cost me'?" if they suggest anything. Don't assume it was included in your original bid.
The work took place in a small condo. Used an Angie's List referral for the initial contact with the current provider after the original electrician did not respond to several messages left on his business recorder. The work was completed in a reasonable amount of time and the provider answered all questions regarding the installation.
It went very well. They were very responsive, reliable. And they weren't able to come out the first time it was scheduled, but they let us know, and we were happy to reschedule. It was very good.

I got a deal of the day for the installation of an outdoor electrical box. Pete was very friendly and professional. He knew what he was doing and did the job correctly and even did some extra work to fix an existing problem. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

The service was excellent. They do wonderful work. The cost was fair and there were no surprises. One of the fans had something wrong with it and they worked with the manufacturer to get the part and they came back to fix the issue at no charge.

Pete Aardema and two assistants worked for the entire day without break. They were an efficient team. If you are installing lights and fixtures consult carefully with your wife. She may have suggestions after the fact requiring rework. Just agree.

Aardema told me what I needed to get from SDG&E and then he took care of everything regarding the electrical work (gardener had to trim a tree per SDG&E requirement). He obtained permit, scheduled SDG&E, and scheduled inspection as well as performing the work. Project went very well.
The house is 101 years old. Electrical service was installed in 1943 and added to over the years by non professionals. Pete pointed out the dangers and corrected them. He installed the outlets in the kitchen as my wife wished. We were not inconvenienced during the work. We will have him replace the fuse box with a breaker panel in the future.

Everything went great! I was having my entire home remodeled & the contractor gave me a bid double of the price of Aardema. Their price was the best of everyone I contacted. And, they did an excellent job.

It went well. Had a few hiccups because the new pump we were installing didn't have all of the info we needed but we called the manufactured, and they we able to speak directly with Eric, who was doing the conversion.
