Addition to Existing Structure Building Service
?? Warning ? Do Not Use This Contractor (Joe and His Company) I hired Joe and his company to complete a build-out, and the entire experience has been a nightmare from start to finish. The contractor failed to build according to the design, contract, and plans ? all of which clearly stated that all field measurements were to be field verified before work began. Before the foundation was poured, I specifically questioned the subcontractor to make sure the walls would line up correctly. They assured me they would. Once the walls were up, it was obvious they were off by 6 inches. I immediately stopped all work and brought this to Joe?s attention. On top of that, they failed to remove a pre-existing pillar as required, and instead of correcting it, Joe built a second wall over it to support the roof load. Now, I have two walls off. I met with Joe at least four times after stopping the project, and each time he promised to ?come up with a solution.? No real solution was ever provided. Du

When a client FEELS that their project has not been built to the specifications agreed upon thru the drawings that were made available and approved, which we believe is the case. We anxiously await the ROC's findings and of course will do our utmost to complete your project based on their findings. As of 12/24/26 the Register of Contractors have issued a dismissal letter."

If I could give negative stars I would. ABA was the most dishonest and worst company I have ever worked with. Their work is pure garbage. We had to hire a different company to come in and fix all their mistakes including plumbing and electrical (leaking shower into the garage, body sprayers not working, water leaking under sinks, had to rewire the kitchen, lights placed in the wrong location, wrong gauged wire used for electrical, toilets not mounted correctly, tiles cracking in the showers, grounds not used for electrical components, overloading breaker and the list goes on. It has been a complete nightmare. They have horrible organizational skills and could never keep track of what was going on or who was coming on what day. Joe does a great job at showing up to collect money, but not to make sure the work is being done correctly. My advise: save yourself the headache, time, and horrible workmanship and go with a different company. We had to get the ROC involved.

Your project could have been easily accomplished to your satisfaction and in accordance with all applicable building codes. Stating the our work is pure garbage is not accurate as stated in the many 5.0 ratings in the past. You did not allow us to finish your project or it would have been completed to your satisfaction as are the vast majority of our customers. At times we do unfortunately do business with clients that are non-cooperative in scheduling that make it very difficult to complete the work. We regret that you felt the need to call the ROC but had you permitted access to complete the project we could have shown you that we are a very reputable company."

Very professional. They were very clear about the scope of the work and the timing and cost. They had impeccable judgement about the color and fit of the tile. The men who did the work stayed busy and minimized the disruption in my home. They cleaned up the work space every day so it wasnâ t messy. Finally the work was beautifully done. I gave this guy the benefit of the doubt after reading multiple negative reviews. I regret it, he wasted my time and my money. I worked doubles for three years to pay for this bathroom. What was supposed to take three days took weeks. He was unorganized, unresponsive and did not even install the hardware doors, the shower turn on the valve, that I had meticulously picked out. The shower doors he installed look like something outside of a prison. The shower has no temperature control and is either on or off. It makes me sick to think about how hard I worked for something he said was going to be done right but ended up not functional and aesthetically repulsive.

Please know that we have a few negative reviews but the 5.0 level reviews far out number the bad ones. We have and always will attempt to rectify any unsatisfied customers. Everything was replaced in order to eventually satisfy the customer as we always will in these cases."

I met them over the phone did not know that they were going to go through with everything they said they would do to the my kitchen but they sure did .I'm so happy that I got my cabinets and counter top by this company ABA. I feel I couldn't do any better because I looked for all kinds of contractors. None of them came through like this company did ABA. I'm aesthetic about my kitchen the way it looks now. They were always on time showed up when they said they would. left everything clean too..

****SLIMY, LYING, ZERO INTEGRITY**** DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME I am surprised to see the positive reviews. Joe, the GC/owner, lied repeatedly throughout the project. He does NOT ever accept any responsibility for his severe inability to communicate with his subs, us, and his vendors about the project details. Expect to foreman your own job if you want it done right. MY husband was the foreman from start to finish. Every single subcontractor that came over, every single time never had any direction or idea what to do. Rather than having integrity and doing what is ethical when mistakes were made *THERE WERE ALOT* by taking responsibility for them, Joe instead placed the blame on me and my husband. EVERY SINGLE TIME. The project went 2.5 months overdue date. He continued to give excuses from being too busy to handle the load, to have medical issues, to finally him blaming Covid for the delay. The final outcome is acceptable, only because my husband spent the time during work giving direction to the sub contractors and away from work to be home to QC the sub contractor work. It is concerning to think how bad it could have been because Joe does not have any method for managing his jobs, communicating effectively with anyone, and he does not utilize any quality guidelines. ABSOLUTE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

"It is saddening that you think a company that has been in business 15 years with A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau is this bad. Guidelines are the appropriate building codes which your project was built to. We regret that the completion date was longer than anticipated but there were numerous changes made during installation. These changes were incorporated and accomplished in as timely matter as possible. Yes there were some delays due to Covid and personal illness but they were minimal in their efficacy toward the completion of the project. The outcome was acceptable because our sub-contractors do good work. We do apologize for any miscommunications that may have happened we will work on this issue in the future!"

Our kitchen came out beautiful. Rob was a pleasure to work with. He was very helpful with his suggestions and recommendations with the remodel and was a pleasure to work with. He was very helpful in picking out the granite countertops and cabinets. Joe was also helpful with his suggestions. Communication could have been better at times and the cabinets took much longer to arrive because we ordered a special cabinet for a coffee bar. The sub contractors did not always show up as scheduled. We are thrilled with the remodel as the new kitchen and would recommend Joe and his crew to do your kitchen remodel.

We would highly recommend ABA for your next home project! Joe and his crew completed a major kitchen renovation, as well as laid new tile and paint throughout the entire home. They removed walls and really opened up our space into a beautiful new home! Joe made great suggestions that only a good contractor would think about, and we greatly appreciated his expertise. The quality of workmanship was excellent and Joe's attention to detail, as well as his commitment to customer service, made this major project quite painless. At the end of it all, Joe really wants his clients to be happy and is willing to do what it takes to make that happen! In addition, the pricing for this major renovation was very competitive, and Joe even gave us some extras that were unexpected! Thanks ABA - you will be the first company we call for our next project!

The kitchen came out great. They organization needs improvement, materials were not order correctionally which caused delays. THE CG needs better controls on the subs. Subs not showing up on time, and not prepared. The Plummer and electrician were excellent. Overall the kitchen came out beautiful. Contract wasn't completed on time, I think they need better subs. In saying all that I would hire them again

Buyer BE Cautious; - Bathroom remodel took 4 weeks -not 1 week as agreed upon - After 2 of the contractors we had to do the clean-up (2-3 hours to clean up each time) -Having issues with cabinet drawer not closing properly and no one is returning our calls On a positive note: the shower / plumbing contractor is AMAZING as were the drywall patch / paint contractors. Countertops / sinks look very nice. Up front, you are promised a lot; - 1 week project - contractors will lay down plastic on carpets and doorways - always do the clean-up and be informed every step of the way... which is NOT what happened. On 3 different times they just never showed up on the day / time they specified - which created issues since have pets. On one occasion the contractor left with our front door wide open and all the sawdust and wood debris on front walkway. - Travel voucher? Have not seen. I will state that we are pleased with end result except the cabinet as well as some of the fixtures - i.e. toilet paper holder and towel rack- which loosened up and fell off within the 1st week after payment. I decided to just repair myself since no one is returning our calls. Will not attempt to use on kitchen countertops as we cannot go weeks without a kitchen and having to board up our pets, nor do I want to have to clean-up on this job every day after work. Joe and David mean well, however follow-up and follow-thru are quite lacking. They could do well by using a checklist and either personally following up with supervisor daily to see if all work is done and clean-ups are performed. They also should follow-up on committed dates and if over-booked (as it appears they were) adjust price by -$100 / per each day they are running behind... Rob is the best part of this company, as is the plumber and 1st Painter. They were top notch!
