Absolutely Beautiful

First of all, Abbey Carpet has a huge selection of products. Mr. Patel made the process of selecting the flooring very easy. He was there for us anytime we had a question or concern. He even pointed out some things we didn't think about. The job was completed sooner than expected and the installers did a fantastic job. Mr. Patel stopped by the house during the installation to check that all was well. What could have been a trying experience became a smooth one and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Abbey Carpet to our friends.

Bob and Subhash were again consummate professionals and guided us smoothly through selection to fit our budget and usage needs. The installed cost was less than the leading local competitor. Installation scheduling was easy and quality of installation is excellent. The finished product looks and feels great. We have used Abbey on 3 prior projects over a 20 year time span, all with similar results.

It was a great experience dealing with Abbey Carpet. The sale Representative was extremely helpful in assisting with picking out the tile and carpet. The installers were professional and knowledgeable of their work.

This was the second flooring installation we've had through them. The first went reasonably well. My only gripe then was a poor color selection on the first step of the stairs that didn't match the floor as well as some other treads applied further from the floor. but... We hired them again. Different crew and a different product. The trim work was worse than amateurish. Vinyl quarter-rounds were left with raw ends hanging out at every corner. Miters didn't fit. They over ordered material by a large margin and wouldn't take back the extra. When we went to complain about quality and price they said we had paid in full. Later they called to demand payment. I'm happy to pay up what we owe, but the attitude was that I should drop everything and run over to pay them. No, "We're sure sorry about the quality. What can we do to make it right?" No, "We can't take back open boxes but we'll refund the full ones."

Good prices and great workmanship. I especially appreciated they moved furniture at no extra cost.

Although he didn't have the exact measurements in stock he suggested one that would be more than satisfactory in size and color. <br /> We had to have it cut down and bound on all sides, which made it more costly than one ready-made, he sent it out to be cut down and bound.  It was ready before it was promised and he even delivered it on his way home from work. More than pleased with the result and the service. <br />

They were prompt in coming out to measure and to provide an estimate.  There was no pressure to make a quick decision about a purchase.  I took my time so that I would be sure I had chosen exactly the right carpet.  Bob was knowledgeable, personable, and very helpful.  <br /> The time between ordering and installation was very reasonable, about three weeks from start to finish. The installers were wonderful!   They worked really hard, and were very polite, and kept to the schedule.  They were very professional.  They were careful moving the furniture so that nothing would be scratched or damaged, and they paid very close attention to detail in the carpet installation process.  They really cared about doing the work the right way.  They did a beautiful job, the carpet looks great!  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. <br />

These folks are great to do business with.  They remove all the hassle that comes with carpet replacement.  They showed up to measure and give me an estimate the same day I called....and they showed up on time.  The order was placed, the carpet came in quickly and installation was done within a couple of days.  Could not ask for better.  Love that this is a local business that provides a great product and incredible service. <br />

The delivery men brought them into the house and started to leave and I said aren't you going to spread them out.  No, that's not our job.  We ended up calling Abbey Carpet and I was told they would lay the carpet but I would have to tip them for doing it.  The carpet pads were too big so they had to cut them down to the proper size.  How Abbey Carpet thought I could do that is beyond me as I am 73 years old and have a bad back and knee.  I need my wood floors refinished and was going to use them, but after the carpet fiasco I will never use them again for anything. <br />

<p>Mr. Subhash Patel is amazing.  I live in Atlanta and was having to get my parent's house ready to sell "long distance".  When I explained my situation to Subhash, he offered to go to the house and assess the needs on his own. After a phone discussion where he presented options, he then emailed estimates of the work. That  led to my visiting his store where he was prepared to show me selections within the price range that we had agreed on.  After that, the work was scheduled and completed on time.  Subhash texted pictures of progress along the way and when the job was completed, he met me at the house and we did a walk through ensuring everything was done to my satisfaction-which it was.  The workmanship was excellent. One of the things I most appreciated was that along the way, his workers ran into a few problems, but the great thing was that Subhash took the initiative and handled them without having to bother me. Another plus is that Subhash took into consideration the selling price of my parent's home and chose the flooring accordingly, as opposed to trying to sell me products that were too "upscale" for the house.</p> <p>I highly recommend Abbey for all of  your flooring needs!<br /> <br /></p> <br />

Went very well.  Sales guy seemed trustworthy, and installers were professional and quick.  They did a really good job.  We'll buy from Abbey carpet again.

<p>We had purchased laminate flooring from Abbey Carpet & Interiors a few years back, which I installed myself, and were happy with the experience so we decided to use them again when we recently decided to re-carpet our living and dining rooms.  The salesman, Bob, was very helpful and patient as we went through several weeks of carrying samples back and forth trying to decide what looked best to us.  There was never any pressure or impatience on Bob's part and we really struggled over the various samples.</p> <p>Eventually we decided to go with laminate again and quickly found the flooring we wanted.  The store was able to schedule an installation time to fit our needs and the installation itself began on time and went quickly even though the installation team had to move furniture back and forth as we really didn't have room anywhere else in the house.  After the install was finished we noticed a few dips and peaks and called it to the installers (Candido's) attention.  He said that since the floor was a poured slab there were imperfections that would not have been noticed with carpet and he suggested that we give it a few days to settle in and call them if we felt there was a problem.</p> <p>The unevenness became more noticeable over time and we called the store and asked if someone could stop by and take a look.  The owner, Subhash, arrived and agreed that the result was not really satisfactory; determining the state of the subfloor had apparently been impacted by not being able to see the entire floor at once due to juggling the furniture.  With barely any prompting on our part he agreed to have the installers come back out and perform some leveling and re-lay the flooring.</p> <p>The installation team came back on a Thursday and pulled up all of the flooring in the living room (the dining room was OK and we were able to move the furniture there), poured leveling compound and told us they would check the next day to see if they could re-lay the floor.  Subhash stopped by Friday morning to test the moisture and said that it would be best to give it another day to let it cure rather than rush and end up with problems later.  We agreed although we were pretty anxious to get things settled down again.</p> <p>Candido arrived on Saturday (by himself as his partner was ill), smoothed the leveling compound, vacuumed and laid a new vapor barrier over the floor.  He completed the replacement of the flooring around 1:30.  Subhash stopped by to make sure we were happy with the results, which we were, the floor is perfect now.</p> <p>In short I don't know how these could have been nicer, more professional people to deal with.  Obviously if the problem with the evenness of the sub-floor had been discovered earlier in the process we might have avoided some additional disruption but their response to the situation was above and beyond what is expected now days.  There were no added charges for the additional materials and labor, their main concern was that we were satisfied with the results, not once was there any question that they wanted to do the best job possible.</p> <p>We did not do a lot of price comparison shopping before going to Abbey Carpet so I really don't know if we could have gotten the job done less expensively but I do know that we could not have picked a company with nicer, more professional employees.  We would use them again without hesitation.  They have a testimonial page on the site that indicates we are not the only folks who have been impressed.</p> <br />
