"We entered (Members name removed( house on Friday August 15th to install some vinyl in a bathroom. This same day a toilet was removed and the water line was turned off and stuck in a bucket. The water line dripped a few drops of water in the bucket which is normal and does not indicate a leak. We were in the house all day Friday and continued to be in the house Saturday, August 16th. During this time the toilet was still off and the water return line did not leak or fill the bucket further. Sunday we get a call from (Members name removed) in regards to a flood/leak in his house that he alleges was coming from the bucket the water line was in. One of our employees Manny explains to him that the water line had been in the bucket in our presence over the course of over a 24 hour period and there was no evidence of leaks. he stated to him that if there was a leak that occurred from that location it was due to a faulty valve as the hardware was older, and not a leak that we had caused. (Members name removed) then sent me photos and we sent out a representative to look at the situation. After evaluating the situation I reached out to (Members name removed) and explained to him that based on our findings it did not appear that we caused the flood to begin with and that one of the clauses of our contract states specifically that we are not plumbers or responsible for floods or leaks. i will forward all email correspondences between myself and (members name removed) as well for your records. I made several different suggestions to (members name removed) and never got a final response from him."
