Vic, one of their sales men came to see us in May 2018. He was excellent and based on him. we paid for security shutters, and sun screens. The good however, started and ended with him, it's only been a horrific experience since then. Fast forward 6 months on, and with 15K dollars down as a deposit we still had not received anything at all for our money despite many assurances from Vic. We then began chasing the owner Jody Huskins to refund the money owed, afer weeks of unanswered emails, finally by Mid December, sighting cashflow issues, they promised to refund 5K every week. They made one payment, and no more since then. I have now reported them to the BBB, whom they are now ignoring, and they are now days away from receiving a lawsuit will all associated costs. People should not be treated in this way, let alone good customers, avoid this company at all costs unless you want to be at risk of getting nothing, and having your money stolen.

These guys were very professional. They provided written estimates of cost & timeframes based on measurements taken. (Another well known vendor would not provide us with written estimates ! ) Our area is large & irregular shape; but that was not a problem. Delivery & set up (on time) was done & it looks great. I would definitely refer them to others.

Will never use Abbott Awnings in the future. Stay away, there are better companies who honor their warranty. We have 18 inches of thread that has come loose in the seam of our awning. I called to have them honor the 10 year warranty on thread and they say it is "pro-rated" and the cost will be $500.00 to repair. The person I spoke to on the phone could not tell me the details of how the pro-rating is calculated and when I asked to see the pro-rated warranty and the breakdown of how it is calculated she told me, "It's on the website." I advised her that it is not and she put me on hold. She came back and still could not explain it. She then said to "look in the packet that came with your awning." As with the other recent review BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! STAY AWAY!! Also, apparently the owner that held the company when we purchased our awning passed away and this would explain the now shoddy customer service that used to be good at Abbott Awnings back in the day.

The workers were excellent and even returned the next week for a minor squeak and said to call if it happened again which it has not.

Excellent service, attention to detail, fabric choice, and installation. Initial sales fellow was very knowledgeable and experienced. Received great discounting. Custom sized awning was ready in 10 days. Installation fellows came pre-installation to double check size and fit. Unable to confidently comment on quality (its new!), however, new awning looks beautiful and works with great ease. And I got a very nice multi-year warranty with Abbott. <br />

To begin with they came out and we discussed what was to be done and how it was to be done. Then they brought out the samples - hundreds and hundreds of different types of patterns for the canvas awning. Plus the steel frame can be powder coated to really tie in the frame and the awning with the house. Finally, you can choose from various valances if you want. Then the crew actually welding the structure came out to make final measurements and calculations. Once everything was ready, they came out (on time) and installed it all......and it looks wonderful. <br /> My advice is to have a good idea of what you want - material, powder coat color, etc., before they come out, or you may not be able to make a decision. <br /> Because of the size of my project - a 7' x 41' section connected to a 9' x 20' section the total process took about 3 months. But given the size of the project and all the work involved, I found this to be quite reasonable. A smaller project would very likely take far less time. <br />

I was very impressed with Abbott Awnings. The representative who came for the initial consultation was very patient in helping me decide my design and installation options. The crew that did the installation was prompt, very professional, and they did an excellent job. The price was very competitive, and the quality of the product is great. They offered a better warranty than most of their competitors. And the finished installation looks gorgeous! I would not hesitate to recommend them. <br />

We purchased a Sunbrella material retractable awning from North County Deck in 2010, as part of our new deck installation. North County Deck obtained the awning from Abbott Industries/Abbott Awnings. It is a large awning (more than 20 ft) operated from a switch inside our house. The awning has a manual operation in case of power outtage. It is well made and came with a 5 year warranty. Recently the awning material split along a seam. We notified North County Deck, who contacted Abbott and arranged to have the awning picked up and repaired. Today (11/19/2014) a team from Abbott Awnings reinstalled the awning and ensured it worked properly. There was no charge to us. Though Abbott Awnings has new owners since we purchased the awning, they have retained their commitment to customer service. We will be glad to purchase from them in future. <br />

That worked out fine for us. Those people did a fine job. I thought their estimator was very good. No nonsense, very straightforward. The installers went about their work very well. I don't know if it was a particularly difficult installation but I think they did it well. I guess the only concern was that they didn't leave any service manual if there was something that went wrong. They seem to be able to support over the phone quite well. I guess the only problem was the supporting documentation was weak.
