The provider agreed to install a DIY irrigation system and sod in our front yard for a total of $1700. He requested that he be paid half prior to the start of the job. That was on May 5, 2023. We found that he didn’t have the skill set to install the sprinkler, so we installed the sprinkler ourselves and he buried the sprinkler head and hose. He left a small trailer of sod on May 19th and returned at 7:30pm to begin to install the sod. It was dark by 8pm. By early morning on the May 20th, we noticed that the sod was not installed properly. We tried to contact him several times but he ignored our texts and calls until we terminated the relationship. He then returned to retrieve the sod and wheelbarrows he’d left. As he’d left our yard in disarray, we hired someone to come in and redo the work Mr. Black had completed and to finish the rest of the job. Pictures available upon request.
