Matt and Dan were fantastic and went above and beyond throughout the course of the project. They were knowledgeable, professional, and focused on the details consistently. Even when issues popped up they were quick to find solutions and implement them. Highly recommend working with them for any renovation, we will definitely be using them in the future for any projects we have.

Matt killed it!!! He built a custom pergola/ arbor to match my roof pitch, as well as a gate for my front yard. He does beautiful work and finished everything so quickly. Hire him!

His communication is world-class. His personality is warm, his character is top notch, and his pricing is at par with the quality he delivers. When I have the funds - I plan on using Matt to install new kitchen cabinetry and counter tops. Matt rocks, period.

Matt was great. Went over the work that was done in detail and did an exceptional job. He was able to make matching plinth blocks that the previous home owner started on some of the door casings. I would recommend him for any unfinished carpentry project.

I needed some interior doors replaced - prepping the house to be listed. Other installers I contacted had zero availability. Matt fit me into his busy schedule and completed the job in one day. This included replacing a non-standard size bathroom door with a slightly larger standard size. Matt made it happen seamlessly - he did amazing work on short notice at a reasonable price. On time, pleasant and just gets the job done. Would recommend him to anyone needing finish carpentry and will definitely hire again.

This company was easy to get a hold of, good at getting back me, did amazing work, and is someone I would look to hire again. I had pieces and sections of baseboards that were missing and or hopelessly dysfunctional. A Better Carpenter came in figured out all the details of matching old trim and making all look like new again. They were also efficient, polite, and fast. I had to call a lot of contractors and handymen who didn't work out before hand. It worked out though because I was very happy with this company and its work.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Not only did he do a professional job, he fixed the baseboards where they were not done right. He pulled them out and fixed them and replaced for a very reasonable price for the whole job. Not only would I use Matt again, I have already recommended him to my coworkers!

Great and professional

Matt was on time and did a great job on the project. It took a little longer ( couple of hours) than originally thought. Is professional and kept his work area neat. Kept the project clean while working and afterwards. Couldn't be happier with the job and will hire him again.

Both projects required some ingenuity to deal with tricky problems. Matt was great on this score. He did a good job of communicating the solutions he thought would be best. He held himself to high workmanship standards and took the steps needed to assure that the jobs were done well.

Matt spent several hours removing the cement lump so that he wouldn't damage the tile around it, and did a very nice job on the wainscoting. His quotes for some tile work were quite high but the carpentry was very reasonable. He was professional, friendly, and responded in a timely manner. I am planning to hire him again for more beadboard panel install.

SUPER job and very high quality.

Matt showed up exactly when he said he would. Started working as soon as he got here. He has his own tools and knows how to use them. He worked on the project and if he had questions he wasn't afraid to ask us. There were a number of odd angles to deal with. Each one was fitted perfectly. The work was done with great patience and professionalism. I would have give this guy an 11 on a scale of 1 out of 10. His rate was outstanding... We sent out for 3 bid and he was the only one to reply with an estimate which we found very fair for the project.

The floors turned out beautifully. And even though they lost half a day due to movers not arriving on time to clear the furniture they finished on time. The floors look exactly like hardwood. The finishing work needed on baseboards is beautiful. Matt proactively asked me if I wanted him to fix some dry wall that had been water damaged which was an awesome bonus. I got lower bids, but I doubt I would have gotten the same quality results with the proactive service.

<p>Great!  Matt was very polite and did an excellent job.  We had hired another cabinet installer through Lowes to install our cupboards and the crown molding.  The Lowes carpenter was unable to finish this section and said it couldn't be done.  I checked around and found Matt who, after he looked at some pictures of the problem areas, said he could do it.  He came out, reviewed the work and then sat about measuring and cutting so that the crown molding would fit.  This was a very special situation he had to fit 3 pieces into the of the two connection walls in order to make this work.  There were some simple angle cuts and a lot of cutting with a coping saw (manual cutting for angles a saw can't do!). In the end the work looed great and was just what the wife ordered! She is now happy with her new kitchen and we are both VERY Happy with the work that Matt did here.  </p> <p>If you ever need someone to do any of the work that Matt does, I would highly recommend him.  If he says he can do, it can be done and done right!  And, for the specialized skills Matt has, he could have charged us a lot more than he did given what needed to be done to get our job completed! </p>

It went very well.  Everything has worked properly for 6 weeks now and we haven't had any issues.  He was very professional and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of.  His pricing was a lot more reasonable than what I had found elsewhere online.   Matt is going to come back and also install a new light fixture I purchased and restain my fences.  I will definitely use this company going forward. <br />

No issues or surprises: no worries. We are extremely happy with the quality of work, and the crown molding made our home look amazing. Would recommend without hesitation.
