Amazing quality work, very professional.

My experience with Austin started out alright, but it quickly went down hill once the project started. The first issue would be a lack of communication when he would not show up on the job site. He'd come by and do some work and then say that he would be back in a couple days. This actually meant 7 days (five if you don't count the weekend). I felt I had to constantly follow up in order to get somebody to come out. This got to be frustrating. I understand that he probably has other jobs going on, but he should manage expectations better. I think people are more understanding when you are transparent about what is going on. It was very over promise, under deliver in the way he handled things. The really frustrating part is that he hasn't completed the job even though he was paid in full. He came by to finish the gate hardware, but the city was repairing the street. He told me he was going to drop something off at another site and return once he could get to the house (in a couple hours). This was the last contact I got from him (two and a half months ago). He never showed up and is not responding to the messages I am leaving him. I tried to be patient considering people are dealing with the pandemic, and I thought it may have affected him too. Until I went to his Facebook page and saw him posting after a couple of my messages. I tried him one more time after seeing this, and realized he just isn't going to respond. So now, I have a gate that does not work and a contractor that won't get back to me. This is not how business is done. I've filed a complaint with the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors because I consider this theft on his part.

The job still isn't finished and I will be finishing it myself . The corner pickets haven't been cut to the corner. The pickets was run out of plumb or the corner post . The whole road side of the fence the pickets aren't plumb . The holes was never backfilled . The post wasn't string lined to follow the grade of the lot . They are all up and down , some cut to short . I reached out to Austin to let him know about these items he said he would come and back fill holes and cut the corner , but he was a no show . So at this point he will be trespassing if he comes back to my property. Shotty work and would not recommend to build a dog house.

Alright, here it is all of the details, we need some help bad! With a repair and complete back yard privacy fence project!!! The contractor A&B Fencing in Sanford NC promised the following: 1. We have small dogs, chihuahuas, so the fence had to be low from the beginning! Not! Austin stated the fence was 1 1/2 inches from the ground everywhere! Not! Our dogs got out 3 times the first week without even digging at all! There are 2 - 5 inches gaps at the bottom between the pickets and the ground everywhere in the back yard! 2. There are gaps in the fence approximately 1/2 to 1 inch between the pickets and posts everywhere! Austin stated there were only 1/4 inch gaps in the fence, so air could go through the pickets, and the wind would not blow the fence down! Not! 3. The fence project took 5 weeks to "complete" or "finish"! So, we asked why... Austin stated quality takes time, or they could rush in 1-2 weeks and finish with NO warranty! Not! The quality is so bad, 2 other fence contractors stated the fence should be taken down and rebuilt to fix all of the issues! What Good is a 1 year warranty if the first job is so terrible!!! 4. The 3 gates are so horrible, and the latches are all on the outside of the fence only, so we can not even open the 3 gates from the inside of our backyard!! 5. Half of the back yard fence was originally quoted 300 ft, at approximately $5400 - sight unseen!. NO PROBLEM! Then, we decided that very night to quote to expand the entire backyard at approximately 450 - 500 feet. Quote: $7500. No problem again right! Not ! The fence turned out to be 488 ft according to our own measurements! Austin stated the fence was 700 ft, and we were getting almost 200 ft free! The fence is Not even 500 ft! 6. The fence posts are Not even cut off at the top or sanded at the top as promised by Austin! Also, the pickets are already splitting and there were missed nails throughout the fence project! The entire time! *** Poor quality NOT quality was provided... for example, slivers of pickets were used to fill in gaps due to wrong measurements throughout the entire fence and gates too!

I called A & B fencing out to get a quote on putting in a fence in my back yard. Call around a few place and no one could beat the quote he gave me. Called him back out they put the fence up and still yet to find a problem. Awesome work and trustful company. Thanks guys!

Awesome!! They did a wonderful job! We love it! Austin and his crew were great, they were professional yet super easy to talk with and super responsive. They were also the most fairly priced company. Thanks so much guys!! We highly recommend this company to everyone!!

Austin was responsive and punctual. We settled on a start date and were flexible when it had to change, no big deal things happen. Unfortunately, the job was rushed, not by us, and the end result is a less than professional looking final project. The top of the fence isn’t close to being straight, there are multiple broken pickets, and in places where a half picket was called for because of the measuring being a little off they didn’t even cut them straight. The half pickets look like they were broken in half to fit not cut. On top of it all the gate was fashioned together with spare wood and was in no way symmetrical or aesthetically pleasing much less functional. They offered to come back and make changes, but once someone has done a poor job I’m not prone to let them come back. I rebuilt the gate myself on the 4th of July.

A&B Fencing removed the old broken wood fence we had and installed 300 foot of chain link fence! Very pleased.

They are really quick and efficient. Also they worked really nice.
