It went okay until time to do to tile the shower. Neither Harry nor his worker Gary know how to tile. They tiled one day and the tiles fell of instead of drying in place. They seemed very confused and tried again but the same thing happened. They then changed to a white fluffy tile adhesive behind the tiles that did not stick. It turned out bad because the white adhesive stuck out from the wall and the other tiles didn't so when they grouted it looked like lumpy walls. I complained to Gary about it and he told me that was normal and he saw tile like that all the time. I disagreed. After they were finished it looked so messy but I was just glad to have them out of my house. Then the grout started FALLING out. I contacted Harry and he accused me of wanted a new shower. Um, I just paid for a new shower I thought. He refused to do it and I have since discovered that he is being sued by multiple people. I paid $15,000 in do not have a functioning shower. I am going to let it go just so I don't have to deal with him again.

"When the shower was done did a walk thru with her. She was very happy With everything. Than about 5 months later she called back and said she was unhappy. I went over there to look. She said she was unhappy with some of the grouting. Not sure why she didnt mention anything at the time. I cleaned up some grout lines. She still was unhappy. Shes very hard to please. I tried working with her many times on this situation. She started making negative comments to me and calling me names by text message and threats. I tried many times to try to help her just couldnt deal with the threats and negativity she was giving. As for tiling I know how to tile. Ive done many projects in 15 years. Im sorry you cant please everyone. When they're unhappy in life it' hard to please someone. I tried calling her many times by phone no response back to me or call backs. I can work with any customers. When the job was completed i had to wait 2 months to get the rest of payments. I kept reaching out and she kept telling me 2 weeks and 2 weeks and 2 weeks"

I had a hard time finding anyone to bid this project from Angie's List. Contacted several people who never responded or made appointments and never showed. All had A ratings? Out of three who actually showed up. Two provided bids. Harry from About Time was the higher of the two but I felt he understood the challanges of working on an older building. Project took longer than expected to complete however I am happy with end result. Harry has good communication and addressed all all of my concerns. In the end he made sure I was satisfied before closing out the project.

It went great!! Harry Wheeler is amazing! I needed this done as soon as possible when I contacted him and he made it happen. I needed these repairs done to sell my home and he came through for me. The price was more than I had anticipated, but the service he provided was well worth the price.

This was our first real project done to our house and I am very thankful for Harry Wheeler and About Time Enterprises. This was an insurance claim and it went very well. Harry handled everything professionally and made it as easy on us as possible. He even dealt with the insurance adjuster for us to make sure we got everything we needed and no shortcuts were taken. As with many home remodels I would guess, ours had a few unforeseen issues. Harry handled them all professionally and punctually. His employees and subcontractors all do great work and are all very friendly. I will most certainly reach out to About Time Enterprises in the future when work on my house is needed.

Numerus issues were encountered during the construction process and I will outline a few of the here. - Construction was estimated to take between 2-3 months. The actual construction took over 6 months. - The contractor worked a good portion of the project with only one person on site to do the work. This significantly delayed the completion of the work. - The house was not adequality protected from weather and on numerous occasions rain damaged the drywall below. I was forced to patrol the tarping over several nights to fix tarps and move buckets. - There were times that no one showed up to work due to other projects that were underway. - The contractor was habitually out of money and I had multiple sub-contractors telling me that they had not been paid. - I was forced to pay the wages of several employees and two sub-contractors to keep them working on the project due to money issues with the contractor. - Windows were not purchased in a timely manner due to money issues with the contractor resulting in about a six week period where the house was exposed to the elements and unable to be secured. - Multiple quality issues were observed requiring reworking and accepting substandard work. - Walls were installed out of plumb. One was out ½” over 8’ - Shingles were installed over damaged or missing tarpaper. - Siding trim boards were installed without the required house wrap. - Tongues were removed from siding during installation. - Multiple Support beams and posts were required to be redone due to incorrect sizes being installed. - A concrete pier was ready to be poured when I observed the form size as 3’x3’ when the required size was 3’3”x3’3”. - A computer and tools were stolen from my house. Employees did not seem to have been adequately screened a background check. - Once the project was “complete” I discovered two posts were not installed per the plans. Correcting this issue will require opening the walls in my living room to install them. - Sheet rock was installed incorrectly leaving gaps once standard lighting trim was installed. - Any change I requested was considered an “extra” but there were items that were deleted or changed to aid in construction and no credit was given. - Several changes were requested by me but the contractor did not give me costs for the changed item until the end as a lump sum item without any cost breakdown. I have requested information as to what item he worked on, number of hours, quantity of materials, and cost of materials. On multiple occasions, I have received partial information but not enough to determine if the costs are mine. I am now being threatened with a lien on the property for not paying the final bill. - The contractor has not responded to a list of my added costs for work I performed, cost to replace stolen items, and added costs associated with a delayed finish. This project was over two months behind schedule costing me time and money, the quality of the work was substandard, two critical supports were not installed, I spent many hours correcting deficiencies, protecting the project, and providing project management. The overall project did not have adequate oversight and control by the prime contractor. I should not have had to review the status daily for conformance to the plans. This is why I hired a general contractor.

Absolutely excellent. We wanted work completed by 11/3 and Harry completed the work early on 10/31. Planning for rain Harry had to have the trim pre-painted and ready to go, which was done. This was a three person job and all the workers were fast and knew what they were doing.

Harry Wheeler and his 2 employees did a very good job. They made sure that the roof dimensions were squared, and they did excellent work with the framing and installing the roofing material. The center part of the roof was an opaque corrugated fiber that let light into the area - and the replacement that Harry's team did is even better. It's a little larger than the one we had before and lets in more light. They also made sure that the vertical supports for the repaired roof were solid and that the barn itself was undamaged by the falling tree.

After being told he would remove & reinstall my bathtub, Harry has only removed the bathtub and I am now left with empty space. I have attempted to reach out to him several times & I am either getting ignored or he gives me some sort of excuse. I have only saw him in person 3 times & those were the 3 times he came to collect money from me. I paid him 50% upfront. I am moving out of town & now I am missing my deadline because I can not sell my house.

"We Lay vinyl flooring in his house I had a contractor come in and help with the vinyl flooring he was there for a week laying the vinyl flooring because the floor was in bad shape and has on a concrete slab so we had to skim coat part of the concrete to make it level. No communication about that in this ad. I had everything ready to go just waiting for my plumber to come in and do the work he was backlogged I can't control my subcontractors with their backlog. bathroom looks better than it ever did. We also had a tough time with the floor because nothing was level and we laid all new tile in the bathroom. And a shower surround with an inset of tile that also wasn't mentioned in the review. The plumber had to replumb the main drain in for the tub because I was underneath the concrete slab. After the bathroom was completed he also gave me a $200 bonus for completion"

One air conditioner went very well. The other air conditioner required more because I did not want to have to take it out when the season changes. Harry and Ro came up with a great solution that was beautifully done. I am very pleased with the results and plan to use them again in the future. The only drawback was it ended up costing more than the original bid because of the design and time to complete the project.

Harry and his crew did a great job. I have an old house that made the remodeling project more complicated than expected, but we worked through it well and things turned out great.
This went really well, especially since this was our first time using Angie's List. We had used the "project" request section in the mobile app and were matched right away. We were under a time constraint due to out-of-town guests arriving and with all the other DIY work we had been doing, we simply ran out of time for the door project. This group came out the morning our guests were to arrive and the person assigned to us did a great job. Many thanks!!

All employees were punctual and professional. They were a joy to work with. Mr Wheeler (contractor) checked on the work that was being done. Any work that needed additional attention was quickly taken care of. I was surprised by two additional costs. That might be expected due to the variety of work being done on my house and garage. The end result look good.
Harry and his team showed up on time and did a great job of getting this done in one day. Very happy with the project.

"Great person liked working for him. He didn't have all the money at one time to pay me so I agreed to help him out and let him make a couple of payments. We cleaned off about 3 inches of moss off the roof and gutters and we also replaced a bundle of shingles that had blown of the roof and was down to roofing paper. Look forward to doing more work for him."

Harry at About Time Enterprises saved the day for me. I had scheduled concrete break and replace before a sewer replacement but the other contractor did not show so I got other names from Angies list and ended up going with about time enterprises. Not only did they come out and do the work on very short notice, but they also replaced a concrete slab that was crumbling. They did a beautiful job, all for less then the first company had quoted me. I would defiantly call this company again
Harry and Fred were on time, measured the kitchen, and explained the process of designing new cabinets and the possible layout of for a kitchen remodel. They asked how we used the kitchen and created drawings to show how the appliances would fit better with a better layout. They discussed finishings for the cabinets and gave us the opportunity to come and see the company booth at the Tacoma Home show which was very good for visual reference.
Overall a good experience. Harry was good at following up and will be on our list when we decide to take the next step.
It was over Christmas time so it took a long time for them to get out. I didn't feel like he gave me much of their ideas. My kitchen doesn't work for me and I gave them a picture of what I wanted. I didn't feel like they met that. They fell short of my expectations. It didn't cost more. They measured and looked around. The drawings that they gave me weren't significantly different than what I have. I think it was a good price. It would go towards the price if I did the work. They know what they are doing.

Being homeowners for over thirty years we have had several construction projects during that time. With all fairness, we have never had to micromanage a project so closely as with this contractor. This project, we feel, should have taken 6 to 7 weeks, because we had the cabinets, appliances, and flooring at the premises. Anything else could have been delivered in a day or two. It ended up taking 3 and ½ months, the entire time leaving us without a kitchen. Our confidence level during the process was very shaky. We recommend you avoid the mistake we made of not having things spelled out better in writing as to what exactly the contractor does and does NOT do as part of the project. To be told later that installing some of the appliances was NOT part of his project, although verbally promised, was very disheartening and created unneeded stress during a stressful time. They did however install them eventually.
We were amazed at what little effort was given to protect the remainder of the home from construction caused dirt and dust. Being understaffed at times did create some issues including the obvious overrun of the jobs completion time and our need to help unload supplies like 12 foot sheets of sheetrock. Emphasis was lacking in cleanup at the end of the
days work. The sheet rocking of the walls and ceiling was sub-contracted to someone else, and we spent 90 minutes cleaning up the mess after them when they left. It did not seem like our
contractor was focused enough on how the project was going.
Being from a service/construction background our fathers both taught us that it is unprofessional to borrow the clients ladders, tools, brooms, etc. Any professional project starts with 1/3 down payment at the start, 1/3 at the middle point, and 1/3 at satisfied completion. Being asked often by the contractor for partial payments early was very annoying.
In conclusion, the finished job looks very nice, but it was quite a battle to get there. We wouldn?t recommend any of our friends or neighbors go through the frustration we did.

Response from Cover Pro Painting
"We showed up everyday when we were suppose to. We cleaned up everyday before we went home. We put up plastic in every door way to protect there home. I purchased 7 sheets of Masonite to protect there vinyl floor. The reason it took longer because there was added work to the project like ripping down the whole ceiling in the kitchen and dining room and living room. The home owner was home everyday because they don't work and he wanted to be there the whole time and look over our shoulders. He was always sweeping and cleaning and I told him he didn't have to do that we would take care of that as it's our job and he said he wanted to help. I always had my self and another person onsite our always 2 workers onsite. We had also to insulate the ceiling and walls replumb for a new lay out. Rewire from the electrician. what for the granite to come and be installed. We had to repair siding and paint from the old kitchen from holes in the walls. They never complained to me about anything to bring it to my attention so I could fix it. We had to build a new coat closet and install new doors. Moved the heat duct work. We also painted the all the rooms. We had to wait for other subs to do there work to finish our work. The home owner hired the electrician and the flooring person. There placed looked great when we left and they were both real happy. This work was done in a older mobile home. Harry Owner"
