It went excellantly ! Estimate was for 9 hours and it took 9-10 hours. They worked fast and hard the whole time and loaded our storage garage much better than we could have - using every available space. We moved some things to storage garage and some to an apartment and nothing went to the wrong place and the movers were very careful to place the furniture in the apartment exactly where we wanted it.

We used this moving company to move out of our old home into a storage unit a month ago and everything went great.  I couldn't be more impressed with a moving company.  Our second experience with this company did not disappoint either.  We were lucky enough to have the same group of 4 guys working this time as we did when we moved out.  Every single one of them were punctual, professional and some of the hardest workers I've ever seen.  They were constantly moving quickly, efficiently and carefully (not to damage any of our things or the walls, floors, etc of our new home).  We had a couple of really difficult items to move down a narrow staircase and the guys carefully planned it out and executed it flawlessly.  I've recommended this company half a dozen times to people I know that are moving just in the past month.  While I plan to NEVER move again, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this moving company to absolutely anyone.  If you want a stress free experience during a stressful (face it) time - Above the Crowd is the way to go.  Thank you again guys - we couldn't be happier.

The movers arrived on time and quickly got things ready and moved out.  They were very professional and efficient.  The unpacking at the new house went just as well.  We were hesitant to use movers after our last experience when they rolled our round table out the door and down our concrete driveway with no packing material around it and found several items damaged afterward.  Above The Crowd movers lived up to their stellar reviews on Angie's List. <br />

They were great.  They wrapped all the furniture in packing quilts to ensure that it wasn't scratched and all the glass from the tables.  I thought it would only take 5 hours, but they spent 11 hours moving me, without complaints.  They had to take apart our platform bed and headboard and our futon in order to be able to move them.  Were very efficient and got everything done as quickly as they could.   <br />

The 2 gentlemen that performed the work were professional, courteous and respectful. They worked extremely hard and fast but took great care with our belongings. The final cost was a little higher then the estimate but that was expected. That's why it was an estimate. I highly recommend Above The Crowd Moving.

We had a fantastic experience. The crew kept us informed of what would or would not fit in the truck, how to prioritize items to transport in our vehicles, and the timeline of the move. The crew was friendly, professional, and really amazing. Such a great customer experience during a stressful time. We managed to fit everything in the truck, and they got everything to the house in one piece. Again, this was simply an amazing customer experience. I'm glad I found them. Great investment to make the move easier on us. <br />

The guys from Above the Crowd arrived on time, Kyle introduced himself and the other guys - then they got right to work.  I was impressed with their thoroughness.  We did a walk through the home right away so they could see what they had to move.  They wrapped up all our furniture and had to move several heavy/awkward items (400 lb gun safe and a treadmill).  The ENTIRE moving process (wrap furniture in moving blankets/shrink wrap, pack furniture and boxes into moving truck, drive to storage facility and unload EVERYTHING into the storage unit) took 3 hours.  The guys were hard working and quick... and it was a HOT and sticky day... pretty much the worse case scenerio for moving.  It even rained the last hour of everything (including during the unloading process).  They never lost their cool - didn't have any incidents of dings in the wall or items dropped/broken.  <br /> We're using the same moving company in August when we move into our new home -- I'd like to request the same guys... and would recommend this company to anyone (so far).  I will submit a review upon the move INTO our home as well. <br />

We used Above the Crowd Moving for our move from Minneapolis to Shoreview. Couldn't have been more happy with their service. They aren't the cheapest option in town but their prices are competitive and they don't nickel and dime you with extras. Scheduled a 3 man crew to move our whole house. I was moving most of the garage and yard items myself. They arrived promptly with 4 guys (1 in training) and got right to wrapping furniture and packing. Still only charged me for the 3 man crew. They were flexible with some of the things I requested and got the whole place packed up in 2.5 hrs (3 bed, 2 bath, 2000 sqft house). Unloading went just a smoothly. Everything was put in the correct rooms and beds were reassembled quickly. I would highly recommend them and will use them in the future if needed. <br />

Kyle the sales person that came out and estimated the job was right on the money for time estimate. He was very pleasant and professional. <br /> The movers that came were also very pleasant and organized. They accepted my requests and feedback well and had other suggestions of their own that were often better than my ideas. <br /> Moving into the new house went fairly well, there were a few mishaps that bring me to my issue and the rating I was forced into giving. <br /> My air filter machine was dropped from about 4 feet in the air, it was an accident but it still worked when I plugged it in, I discovered later that the entire plastic housing was badly cracked/broken.  <br /> I have left several messages for Above the crowd moving to call me and told them in one message and an email that I would have to write a negative review an Angies list if they did not call me and get these issues dealt with. I have heard nothing so far. <br /> So my complaint is follow up/ customer service after the service was provided and paid for. <br />

They were friendly, careful with our belongings, and prompt.I would definitely use them again, although I hope I don't have to for many years, as I hate moving (we are *still* unpacking, but that's not their fault that we are such pack rats!). <br />

We used Above the Crowd movers for our recent move and we could not be more thrilled with the services they provided.  They called a couple of days before the move date to confirm and see if we had any questions which was very much appreciated as we had a lot going on that week.  Kyle and two other  guys showed up at our house spot on time, they did a walkthrough with us and then quickly got to work.  They worked incredibly quickly all day, and took great care of our belongings and our new house.  Nothing arrived damaged and they took great care to make sure they didn't knock any walls or door frames.  They worked so quickly there were times they were running back to the truck for another load.  They were polite and professional and were a pleasure to have around for the day.  We can't believe we contemplated moving without the help of movers; Above the Crowd is fantastic and I would highly recommend them.  They are worth every penny.  <br />

They arrived on time, we very professional, wrapped our furniture to avoid scratches and moved very quickly and efficiently to clear our house.  We had more items than could fit in the two loads planned, so they came back the next day to move a basketball hoop, kayak and grill.  They worked later than anticipated due to the volume of items that needed to be moved, and did not complain about it. We will definitely call them again when we have moving needs.

The move went very smoothly.  Movers were professional and friendly. They wrapped up and protected all my furniture and set things up just the way I wanted.  Excellent job!

In a word: AWESOME! This is a small company and it shows in their preparation and responsiveness. The guys were respectful of our things, repacked some items they felt were at risk of damage and made an extra trip for a second load due to our underestimating the quanity of stuff to move. Best of all they were fun and funny making a very stressful day much less stressful. Highly recommend! <br />

Crew was enthusiastic, friendly, professional, polite, prompt and accommodating.  They got done an hour early , saving me 11%  off the estimate.

It went very well. They were prompt, courteous, and very fast. They took the time to wrap our furniture. No damage to items or to either house during the move. Went better than you would expect a move would go. <br />

Tom and Kyle showed up on time and had our two items removed and on our curb in ten minutes. My only regret is I wish I had had more work for them since we had to pay the minimum hour charge.
