This is a prompt, professional, and reliable business. I've used other companies, but will be using ABS Heating and Cooling services from now on for any issues and tune ups. My cooling issue was satisfactorily resolved and I will be doing the recommended follow up now that I know more about the issue I was having. A lot of technicians will not elaborate on what you can do to save yourself time and money in the future, but I feel much better educated and prepared now. 10/10. Would highly recommended this company to all of my neighbors.

Amro and this team installed an ac unit. They were on time and everyone was professional. The price was reasonable plus you get what you pay for. I will definitely hire them again!

It went horrible. Ended up with a quote for $1200 to replace a compressor and that's just the labor. Quick online search will give you $645 average cost of labor. Was a bit disappointed. If you feel like getting ripped off use these guys.

We originally scheduled an appointment with ABS to come on a Wednesday in July, but they had to reschedule due to conflicting jobs -- we didn't mind much because we know it is the busiest time of year for AC service. We rescheduled for the following Monday. Adam and his trainee were very courteous, explained everything to me and seemed thorough, and even wore shoe covers when in the house. They showed me the readings on our compressors and how to tell if they were operating below capacity, and after testing them, we decided to replace them as well. Overall, the job was quick, but we are glad we were able to have them come out and give our old AC unit a good cleaning and replace the needed parts.

Called the company at 12:00 am midnight, Adam called back within 15 minutes to schedule time for first thing the next morning to look at the problem. Next morning he texted me to let me know he was on his way, he arrived promptly at 9:00 am and diagnosed the problem and fixed it within an hour. I highly recommend ABS, they are professional, honest, reliable and competent. Can't ask for much more!

Adam was fantastic. First, I called on a Monday morning, and he said he would be there that afternoon between 4 and 5. I was surprised I actually could get someone same day. He showed up on time, and texted 35 minutes before his appointment. He did some kind of coil clean, which given I probably hadn't had the Heat Pump serviced in a decade, and given the pine straw, mosquitoes, and who knows what that accumulated on that unit, seemed a reasonable request. He pretty quickly diagnosed that the condensing fan motor needed replaced, and said he could get it and have it replaced the next morning. He showed up in the time window he promised the next morning, and replaced the fan. Heat pump is working like a top, as he measured the air temperature coming into the house after the job was done. Separate endorsement; I have a 1993 Trane, and will probably only buy that brand of heat pump. "Nothing runs like a Trane!" Here's the deal..... I was impressed he had another appointment the first evening he showed up, even though he left our house 5:30-6. And said it would be his last "unless he got another call." Translation. He does all he can to help people with immediate problems. That is worth something, don't you think? Price was what I considered very reasonable. The service call and chemical clean was a total of $160, which to me was a bargain given 2 visits and the total time of 2-3 hours he spent in transit and working on the unit. The price for the condensing fan was not unreasonable from what I saw pricing it on the internet, and . For certain, the total cost for 2 visits, a clean, a diagnosis, the condensing fan, and the labor to replace it on a 25 year old unit was more than reasonable. Adam will be my go to HVAC guy from here on out. Thank you, Adam!

Fantastic! Adam responded to my phone call immediately even though it was after business hours, showed up the next day within the window of time he stated and even texted me when he was on his way. He was courteous, professional, and went right to work! He always let my husband and me know what he was doing and what the next steps were. His knowledge was exceptional and his prices were very competitive. We will never look for another HVAC person again. He will always have our business!

Trust is everything when it comes to HVAC repair companies. When your HVAC stops working, you don’t have the time to get multiple quotes nor the money to pay for multiple service call / diagnostic fees. I learned, after the fact, that Adam from ABS significantly overcharged me for a replacement part in my A/C unit. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend him because I cannot trust him to charge a fair price for his work. The positives: On a Sunday evening we discovered our A/C wasn’t working. We called ABS and, within the hour, Adam came over to help. (He lives in our neighborhood.) He was there for about 15 minutes, fixed the issue, and charged $49 for labor which seemed very reasonable to me, especially on a weekend. The negatives: The cost of the replacement part seemed high to me, so I looked up the model number of the capacitor required for our A/C unit. After a quick search, I found it for about $12 at Home Depot and several other retailers. In the itemized receipt from ABS, I was charged $155 for that same part, a 1200% markup. Before sharing this information in this review, I wanted to confirm with him that this is correct. He replied that the 1200% markup was for his “knowledge and experience,” and that he feels he is offering it at a discount because he believes larger companies charge even more (around $189, he said) for that part. He challenged us to call around to see what larger companies charge, so we did… Most companies would not provide quotes over the phone, but of the ones who did, every single one gave us a lower quote. The next time I have an HVAC issue I will be calling one of those few companies who are fair, transparent and upfront about their pricing: Southern Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning, Santa Air and Ambrose Heating & Cooling.

Paid $78 for a Furnace or Air Conditioner Tune-Up Plus 1-Pound of Refrigerant service for two AC units at my home. The guy from ABS checks around both AC units for about 30 minutes and said the capacitor of one of my units is operating at 80% efficiency. Knowing that capacitors are typically not expensive, I agreed for him to replace it. However, he presents me with a $155 charge just for the capacitor. I was very skeptical and said I'll check for the actual price and if its not what he says then we'll have a problem. Low and behold, an hour after he left I found the exact same capacitor online for $4.75. I can understand a 50% or 100% mark-up but a 3,263% mark-up is OUTRAGEOUS!. Unless you want to get ripped-off, do not do business with this company.

Adam called the day I bought the deal on Angie's List, made an appointment when it was convenient for me, and showed up at precisely the time booked. He was professional, polite, and thorough. He reconnected a detached register by entering the crawl space, no easy chore for a man of his size. He also spray cleaned the entire inside of the unit with an acid wash. Excellent service. I highly recommend this company.
