Mr. Siders wrote up a contract for the remodel and asked for a check for nearly $6,000 ($5,986) deposit up front on March 3rd. We later set a work start date toward the end of April. When I called him to confirm that he would start work on the date we'd agreed on, he essentially said he did not want to fulfill the terms of the contract unless perhaps he increased his price and that otherwise, he would return my deposit in full. He even restated that he would return my $5,986 in full within 2 weeks. A week later, I received a check for $1,000. Mr. Siders stated he would repay the remaining $4,986 within a week after that. Since May 3, I have not been able to reach him and he has not returned my phone calls. Also he has not made any attempt to return the $4,986 that he promised to return to me. As of June 28th Mr.Siders has STILL not returned the $4,986 to homeowner.

Danny was friendly, prompt and kept us apprised of the progress of our job. He and Dominic worked around curious kids and a kitten with kindness. They were very considerate of our home and left the house each day a little cleaner than they found it. We’re thrilled with the beautiful work and highly recommend Absolute Kitchen and Baths. This bathroom is the nicest one in our house.

I knew that Danny was the one I wanted to do my kitchen when he came to give me an estimate. He had great ideas, many options, reasonable pricing and was very personable. Whenever I called him he always returned my calls. Danny and his right hand man, Dominic, make a great team. They both took great care to do everything to perfection. Danny helped me pick out cabinets and flooring. He sent me to wonderful people to pick out granite for the countertops and tile for the backsplash. When I wasn't sure about the tile, Danny even met my husband and I on a Saturday to help us figure it out and select something that we would love. He put in extras like a pull out garbage cabinet, a wonderful cabinet that holds my heavy electric mixes and brings it up to counter level when I need to use it. I have pull out drawers and a two shelf lazy susan to maximize the space in a corner that would otherwise just be wasted. The kitchen has an opening by the sink that looks out into the family room. Danny used matching wood to the cabinets and created a molding, along with a wonderful light fixture, to create a beautiful area that enhances the kitchen. He extended the tile backsplash on either side of the opening and put granite on the bottom. Danny added an island with many pull out shelves, large and small, to give me much more storage. The island is amazing and greatly adds to the kitchen. Dominic is an expert electrician who made sure I had ample outlets and wonderful under the cabinet lighting. Danny is an expert plumber who added a water filter, as well as an instant hot that matches the faucet. Because he is such a good guy, he even fixed a problem in our bathroom that had nothing to do with the kitchen remodeling. Absolute Kitchens and Baths is a first rate company. I will absolutely use them again.

Danny, the owner, and his good friend and co-worker Dominic did a fabulous job on our complete remodel of our kitchen. They always arrived on time and were really pleasant to have in my house every day. The quality of both the workmanship and the supplies/materials that they used is superb. Danny is not one to cut corners. Just the opposite, he spends extra time and care to make sure that everything is just right but he doesn't charge an arm and a leg to do it the right way. Not only was his price lower than the bids from other larger contractors with fancy show rooms, but I am certain that the care and time he took surpassed what we would have gotten from random groups of workers. Danny designed our new layout and gave us plenty of options for materials to choose from. He made sure we had roll-out shelves for our pantry, a pull-out garbage cabinet, pull-out spice rack, and pull-out sheet pan cabinet. He then built custom cabinet bases so that we could extend our cabinet line across the baseboard heating. He also created our half-wall with a beautiful hand-made hickory post and top to match our cabinets. Danny is also an excellent plumber and even fixed a pipe that broke (unrelated to our kitchen) while he was there for us, just because his knew how and he is a good person. Besides assisting Danny with remodel, Dominic is also a master electrician and ran all of our new electric work, making sure it was done properly and to code. Absolute Kitchens and Baths has won our loyalty and we have already contracted them for a second project and will continue to give them our business as future projects need doing.

We could not be happier with the work Danny and his crew did on our kitchen!! Very professional and friendly - we even went on vacation while they were working and they helped out looking after our dogs!! the price was very reasonable after shopping around quite a bit. We will definitely use Absolute for our next project - total rehab in full bath.

After getting a number of estimates and a number of no return calls--Danny responded right away to our request and was honest that he was committed for a number of months. He told us if we were not successful in finding a contractor for the project to reach out again after a few months. At that point, we were pretty confident we wanted to work with him after reviewing the number of excellent reviews on Angie's List. Danny and team were prompt everyday. Kept us informed throughout the process. Very responsive to any request and extremely detailed oriented. If he didn't like the look of something, he worked it to perfection. Exactly what you want in a contractor that is remodeling your home. We had a few items that needed his attention after the project was completed and he responded immediately and is working to rectify the issues. We would definitely hire him again and recommend his company to family and friends.

Danny Siders of Absolute Kitchens and Baths recently updated our kitchen and our master bath. In the kitchen he installed new Wilsonart High Definition laminate countertops, Nova laminate flooring, a tiled backsplash behind the stove, a new Blanco sink, a new Delta faucet, and new drawer pulls. In the bathroom, he raised the cabinets to a better height, installed new Wilsonart High Definition laminate countertops, new sinks, and tiled the floor and the surround of the garden tub. Under the tile floor, he installed a radiant heater. Several years ago, he redid our shower. He was able to find the same tiles he used in that job so that the bathroom tiles all match. This was a large job and we are very happy with how it looks and of our experience with Danny. Over the last 5 years, Danny has renovated 2 other baths and the sink in the laundry room. We have always been extremely happy with the work he has done. The things I appreciate when working with Danny are the ideas he adds to the projects, the craftsmanship he puts into the project, his finishing touches, and his helpfulness. Danny showed up for the initial consult with books of materials and ideas. He listened to what we wanted and then pulled on his experience to help us decide on the best materials for the job. He was aware of new materials and new techniques. We told him our goals and he helped us choose the best materials for the project. He did not push his ideas but helped us clarify ours. Once the project started, he arrived daily at the same time or told us ahead if he would not be there. He cleaned up at the end of the day and caused minimal interruptions to life outside the work area. He is meticulous in his prep work for the project as well as the actual installation. Seams match, edges of tiles are bullnosed where needed, and colors and stains match what was already in the house. One of the most impressive finishing touches was the kick plates under the cabinets and the edgings of the new floor. He used wood edgings that he stained to match the counters and the existing edges of the floor. It gives the new floor a seamless look with the rest of the house. I appreciate Danny’s reliability, craftsmanship, and his attention to finishing details. Danny was also helpful and persistent when we increased the scope of the project and added some additional flooring. The Nova flooring has become increasingly difficult to obtain and when we wanted the small bathroom also refloored, he needed to order more. It was a challenge finding a source for the flooring and then the first shipment came in wrong. Danny worked through all the hassles necessary to get the floor we wanted. He also fixed sticky drawers and a poorly designed waste basket drawer. Not only does our kitchen look wonderful, but the drawers finally all work as they should. At the very end, two of the flooring boards in the small bathroom slipped. Danny readily came back to fix them for no charge. Thank you, Danny, for your perseverance in getting materials and fixing problems along the way. I also appreciate that Danny will call me back and accepts my decisions without recourse to my husband. I have dealt with other contractors who always wanted my husband to concur or only called back when my husband called. Needless to say, I only worked with them one time. Danny Siders has done beautiful work on our renovations. We are very happy with the outcome and with the ease of working with Danny. I strongly recommend Danny Siders of Absolute Kitchens and Baths for your remodeling job.

Absolute Kitchen and Baths renovated two of our upstairs bathrooms. We had a tight budget but Danny was able to provide tiling, new plumbing, and a new bathtub in the guest bathroom and a full renovation of our master bathroom. His work was high-quality and he was very punctual and easy to work with. I also appreciated that he took time to keep the work area clean each day. We made a couple last minute changes that required a bit of rework, but he was very accommodating.
Danny does excellent work. I wanted a pantry built where my wall oven had been, and the first few people I talked to wouldn't even consider helping me. I was pretty discouraged until I talked to Danny, who said no problem. He did a beautiful job matching the pantry doors to my existing cabinets. I love my new pantry! He was very patient with me as I changed my mind about a few things, and he was always willing to try to help me find a solution. He even did some extra work installing an outlet under my sink when he noticed I did not have one. I would not hesitate to have him do any other home improvements around my house.
The quality of Danny?s work is excellent. Danny went above and beyond the description of the job and exceeded our expectations throughout the job. Danny made helpful suggestions, and kept in touch with the stores providing the material so that the job would not be delayed due to material not being available when we needed to install it.
We have never experienced a contractor who was more considerate of our property, who cleaned up the job site every day (not just at the end of the job), and made sure that we were as inconvenienced as little as possible. The tile install on the floor involved removing the toilet, and Danny made sure that it was unavailable for only one day.
We cannot recommend Danny highly enough. His price estimate was very competitive with the other bidders on the job, and he stuck to that price. He is very dependable, and always arrived on the job when he said he would.

It went very well, my husband and I were very pleased. I will be using him again, and I thought he was very personable, answered any and all questions. Very clean and was a nice person to deal with. Very reliable and punctual. When he was running late because of bad weather he would always call and say he is running late but will be here. Anytime I had a question by phone he would always return calls by phone and answer my questions.

We are absolutely delighted with the end result, and the entire process was a pleasure. We cannot say enough about Danny Siders, the owner and craftsman, We found him very easy to relate to, flexible, and extremely knowledgable and skilled. He is very creative and provided much appreciated guidance throughout the process, but never imposed his ideas on us. We were surprised to find that we had access to a working kitchen with the exception of 1 or 2 days. This was very different than most people's experience with other contractors as he took the extra trouble of installing a temporary sink and countertop. We give him our highest recommendation!
We had used Absolute Kitchens and Baths for a bathroom remodel the previous year and were happy with the work. When it was time to remodel our kitchen we interviewed 3 contractors (one being Absolute Kitchens and Baths). Despite the other two being highly rated, Danny was the most prepared to present. He listened to what we wanted and had suggestions that we hadn't considered. Danny was able to match new cabinetry with our existing as well as blending a floor transition where we had taken out a closet. We are very happy with the finished product and plan to enjoy it for many years to come.

We engaged Danny beginning in October 2013 to do a series of house update projects for us. The initial project was to replace our laundry room sink and faucet plus redo our first floor half bath. For the half bath update we had him replace the toilet with a low flush model, replace the sink, faucet, mirror, and cabinet. This project was speced in mid-October with the work finished in mid-November.
The second project was to replace the master bath sink faucets and the toilet with a low flush model. This was planned in mid-November and finished just after Thanksgiving. While installing the hardware for this project, Danny noticed what appeared to be water damage that could only have come from slow leaks in the shower area and pointed it out to us.
Based on Danny's comments about the leaks and the problem we were having with recurring mold growth in the master bath shower, we had Danny do a third project to replace our master bath enclosed shower and add an access panel and shutoff valves. This project was planned in mid-December but the actual installation didn't start until the beginning of January based on our request to avoid the disruption during the holidays. Due to a manufacturer's error with the shower enclosure, the project didn't actually finish until early February because the original enclosure that they sent was not what Danny had ordered and didn't fit the space. Had the error not happened, the project would have been finished by the third week of January. BTW, Danny's observations about the leaks were proved correct when he started the shower replacement work and found that the original installer had only partially-installed waterproof backing board which lead to slow damage and likely our recurring mold problems over the years.
Throughout these projects, Danny was both an integral part of the design process and the craftsman who did the required work. He showed us catalogs of the hardware, cabinet, shower enclosure, and tile options. He made recommendations based on our comments and adjusted plans to fit our needs. He also pointed out where there might be problems and recommended options to work around them. He was our partner in the projects, not just an installer.
Danny's workmanship is excellent. Everything he installed works well and looks great. He always took care to make sure there was no damage to existing items when fitting new items into place. He kept the workareas clean and made sure that dust was both contained and removed. He took away the old cabinets and hardware and disposed of them properly.
Danny was very good at arriving when he said he would. If there were problems, he promptly informed us about any delays or if he wouldn't make it at all on a scheduled day.
This wasn't the first time Danny had worked for us. A couple of years ago, he re-did our guest bathroom. The results of that project were excellent. He worked for another company at that time but we made sure to find him to work on these projects for us. We would happily use his services for any future projects.

We vetted 3 contractors all from Angie's List. Danny came prepared with pictures of previous work. He listened to what we wanted and gave us ideas as well. The master bath was taken down to studs. Several design issues were resolved (always interesting to see what previous contractors did) which we were glad to have fixed. We made some changes to our original plan when my wife thought of making a small closet area into a makeup station. What we lost in storage from this converted closet, we gained when Danny installed a large cabinet where an old shower stall was. My wife is very happy to have her make-up area. Also, the in-floor heating system really helps on cold mornings.
At the same time that our bathroom was being remodeled, we were also remodeling our master bedroom. Danny was able to repair drywall over a large part of 1 wall as well as settling cracks on our ceiling. We also had him install new closet sliders and laminate flooring in this room.
It went excellently well! Danny's work is so highly crafted and precise that I am thrilled. He is on time daily, works vigorously, and quotes a price that he does not add to..the quote is the finished cost. I trusted him to be here working and went about my schedule in or out of my home. He plans his work so that you maintain the use of your sink, stove and refrigerator on a daily basis..that is more effort for him but extremely convenient for you. He leaves the room and area as clean and tidy as possible during the entire time he works. On the weekend he removed equipment from my garage so that I could put my car in which was very much appreciated. In addition to all of this he is friendly, kind and personable!

It is difficult to find craftsmanship of his quality. We are so impressed with the process and results that I wold highly recommend him to any of my friends and family.

Quick Summary:
Mr. Siders did what he said he was going to do. He did it on time and within the budget that he proposed. He communicated well during the entire process. The finished product worked without fault and looked great. Absolute Kitchens and Baths has my unqualified recommendation.
Details:
Mr. Siders came on site and provided an estimate for the work to be done (remove old cast iron bath tub and convert to a walk-in shower for a first floor bath) within one week of being contacted about the work. He arranged a mutually convenient time in the early evening. He brought a number of catalogs with him as well as photos of his past work. He thoroughly explained what he would do (in detail including the type of drywall he would use, how it would be taped, primed and finished). The plumbing in the house was all copper and he explained that he would replace the copper from the shut-off valves in the basement (and install new shut-off valves) up to the bathroom. He also explained that he would replace the exterior wall insulation (which was blown-in) with new insulation and a vapor barrier.
We received a in initial written estimate within the week. The family discussed various options (styles of glass, types of fixtures, colors, etc). We wanted a slightly different combination of accessories from what we originally discussed. Mr. Siders went back to the manufacturer and verified which options were available and compatible with each other. I usually emailed Mr. Siders and he normally responded by calling me the next day (even on the weekends). He was able to get the style of glass for the shower doors desired by my mother. We added grab bars and a hand shower to the original estimate. Once we confirmed the details, he had a written estimate emailed back to me within a day. His proposal included good quality Delta plumbing fixtures (not some of the cheaper products found in the big box stores). The prices he charged for the additional fixtures that
we requested were inline with the best prices that I could find for the parts online.
Mr. Siders was booked for two months our when we signed the proposal but he started within a few days of the original estimated starting time. His original estimate was for three full days of work and then several partial days for the finish work as he had to wait for plaster/mud primer to dry. His estimate was again very accurate and allowed my mother to plan around the
renovation activities. When the work began, he took precautions against damaging the floor by putting down floor protecting boards. He cleaned up after himself each day and a more thorough cleanup once the project was completed.
As with any renovation in an older home, one runs into unexpected issues. This project was no different. Mr. Siders dealt with each issue as it arose. One issue was that the new shower had a much larger drain which was unfortunately located in such a way that it ran into one of the floor joists. He contacted a local plumbing supply and got an offset floor drain to remedy the problem. When it came time to put the finishing coat of paint on, it became apparent that even with the same color paint that matching the colors between the new and old paint would be an issue. To make it look right, he washed all the walls in the bathroom and then primed and painted the entire room. The final paint was to be provided by us (it was custom color that my mother wanted from Sherwin Williams). Mr. Siders again worked with my mother so that she could wait a day to purchase the paint when it was on sale. Mr. Siders did not charge (nor even discuss additional charges) for these issues or services. It is apparent that he takes pride in making his jobs turn out right and look professionally done.
The bottom line is that Mr. Siders did what he said he was going to do. He did it on time and within the budget in his proposal. He communicated well during the entire process. I never waited more than 24 hours (including weekends) to get my questions answered. He explained to my mother what was going on each day during the construction. He protected the house from damage during construction and cleaned up after himself. The finished product worked without fault (no leaks) and looked like it had always been installed (rather than a new installation) to the point that my mother said that the bathroom hadn't looked as good since it was brand new (more than fifty years ago).

The work went very well. He gave me suggestions and told me how to do some of the jobs. He cleaned everything up and made sure my wood floors were protected. If I didn't see the work he did I wouldn't have known he was in the house. It was a lot of work and he took his time yet stayed within our agreed schedule. Oh he also fixed the drain pipe to the tub when it pretty much fell apart which was not in the contract. Just an overall nice guy and am pleased with his work.

Danny Siders most recently completed a partial renovation project on our kitchen, first floor powder room, and floors in the kitchen, powder room, front and rear hallways and utility room. The work in the kitchen involved installation of granite counter tops, installation of a tile backsplash, new double basin sink with reconnection of the garbage disposal, new faucet, installation of a new a dishwasher that we bought, new kitchen island with additional electrical outlets, and relocation of an overhead light. We wanted to keep our cabinets, but had him install new door handles, hidden hinges, and pull-out drawer shelves in most of our lower cabinets (love these) . In the powder room he replaced the sheet mirror with a custom wood framed mirror, installed a new sink, faucet, granite counter top, towel rings/toilet paper holder, new vanity light that we purchased, and replaced all the cabinet hardware. He removed all of our old vinyl tile flooring, replaced and screwed down new subflooring (so it would stop squeeking) and installed hard wood floors throughout the front hall, powder room, kitchen, and rear hallway which look beautiful. In the utility room he installed new porcelin tile (which required moving the washer, dryer, utility tub and freezer!). This is not the first project he has done for us. Last year Danny completed a renovation of our master and guest bathrooms which turned out gorgeous. We have found him to be a highly skilled professional who pays attention to the quality and details of his work. He is very knowledgeable about materials, comes to the job with catalogues to puruse for ideas, and readily offers suggestions. He is also not afraid to steer you away from a poor choice if he thinks it will detract from the ultimate goal of the project. On the rare occasion of a misunderstanding he has gone out of his way to meet our expectations and to resolve issues promptly. Almost all of the work is done by Danny personally so if a large project is planned, the expectation should be that it will take some time to complete. The advantage to this, however, is that you deal with him directly. He is also very conscious of trying to keep the chaos of a renovation to a minimum. He cleans up meticulously each day, and shows respect for the rest of your home furnishings. We have found him to be honest, highly conscientious, and very knowledgeable. We would highly recommend him, and in fact are having him begin a couple of smaller projects in the near future.
