Sadly I had an extremely unpleasant experience with Absolutely Clean. I was sooooo excited to have this done...almost giddy. Initially it was hard to get calls back to schedule the appointment. The OWNER sent me an email which was completely rude but I overlooked that since the Sales Manager was a freakin’ delight. For a deep clean of my condo it took them an outrageous amount of time to do a **** poor job of even a regular cleaning. They missed so many things. I took pictures to show these items and sent them to Absolutely Clean. The Sales Manager was very upset about what she saw...the OWNER apparently was not. They provided an absolutely absurd total cost for this “cleaning”. They stated they cleaned under the boys bed, picked up toys...nope and nope. Allllllllll toys, cupboard items and decor was removed PRIOR to the appointment. They said they cleaned 3 containers of cat litter.............ummmmmmm there was only ONE EMPTY cleaned out storage container and the litter boxes were not even in the house or a cleaning area. They were suppose to clean window tracks....they did one window. They said they cleaned base boards....not so much. There was dust left, areas in the bathrooms missed, pretty much every corner in the house was missed. I will give them kudos that my refrigerator does look amazing. You would think a locally owned business would have wonderful customer service...in this case that did NOT happen. Again the staff and Sales Manager were lovely to work with. The OWNER was beyond rude, condescending and does not run her business in a favorable fashion. At the end I asked for a refund. She would not. She was actually going to charge me to have the ladies come back to actually do their job. The Sales Manager finally offered to have the ladies come out for free. Butttt again I would have to leave my house for an extended period of time. So beyond frustrating. I can’t stress enough how disgusting of an experience this was. Normally I would not provide this feedback on social media but I have never had such an inappropriate and unprofessional experience. I would normally think “oh they must be having bad day” and not think much of it. This was dayssssss and multiple communications. So no. They get no pass from me.

They did not do anything in the kitchen. As far as I could tell, both of the cleaners spent all 4 hours in the bathroom together (which would be almost impossible considering how small it is). Someone did wipe down the windowsills; that was all that was done outside of the bathroom. The bathroom was indeed quite clean. But 4 hours for 2 people to clean a 25 square foot bathroom?
I complained to Absolutely Clean and they supposedly went back to the cleaners to ask their side of the story. The manager came back and said that the cleaners reiterated that they did indeed need all of that time to clean the bathroom. The manager took the cleaners' side of the story and didn't even go look at the home. They offered to re-clean it for more money, no discount.
I was very disappointed in their inability to fix a customer relations problem. I am all for standing up for one's employees, but if a customer is dissatisfied, it behooves a company to try to fix what went wrong. I would have been willing to do a walk-through with the manager and discuss it.
I gave them a C for price because I thought that the $240 quote was good for 8 man hours. I gave them a D for quality: while the cleaning done in the bathroom was indeed quite good, it took them, again, 8 man hours to do it.
Absolutely Clean of Marion, Iowa is a company run by CROOKS! I contacted them to help me do a little deeper than normal cleaning on my home (1400 square feet plus unfinished basement of same square footage) because one of our cats had ringworm and we needed to make sure every surface of our house was cleaned and disinfected. My husband and I had already dusted and cleaned every item, shelf, piece of furniture, etc. in our house except our master batch and, because we both work long hours, wanted to pay someone to come finish the job by basically just vacuuming up and mopping with a hospital grade disinfectant of our floors (we have hardwood throughout upstairs and poured concrete in the unfinished basement). When I called for pricing and availability, they quoted me $40 per hour for 5 hours for the initial deep cleaning "job" and said they'd send 2-3 people to complete it and could do weekly follow ups for $40 per hour for 2-3 hours for the job. I repeated it back to them several times- $200 for the initial deep cleaning job and $80-120 for weekly follow-ups, right Manager Dana? Correct she said. I thought it was a bit steep but I really wanted the help, so I agreed and we set up an appointment. When they came for the appointment, they sent 2 ladies to do the job. They were very pleasant and did a good enough job- nothing to write home about though. When I came back to the house at the end of the 5 hours to pay them, they charged me $400!!!!!!!!! They told me the rate was $40 per person!!!!!!!!!! I was understandable irritated but thought it wasn't the ladies faults, so I paid them and said I would be calling Manager Dana to discuss because there must be some misunderstanding. I even tipped them 20% because they did do the job satisfactorily. After they left, I called Manager Dana and left a message. She didn't call back. So I called again, and she wasn't available. Finally when she did call back, I said we must have some misunderstanding because my understanding which I had confirmed with her several times over the phone prior was that the price was $40 per hour $200 total for the 5 hour job but I had just been charged $400. She apologized, said that there had been a misunderstanding, and admitted it was probably her fault because she thought she may have quoted me $200 total for the job. But that was it. She only apologized. She made no reparation or compromise or even any attempt to do so. In fact, when I told her their services were no longer needed for follow ups she tried to convince me to keep them on for $120 per job for 2 hours- When she'd previously quoted $80-120 for 2-3 hours (logically, 2 hours would cost $80)!!! I declined. Then she said maybe they could come out on a monthly basis only for the deep clean. I said I was not going to pay them near $500 after tip to have them clean my house once a month and asked if the monthly cleaning would only cost $120 dollars to which she responded that $120 would only get the 2 hour cleaning and not a deep clean. I reiterated that their services were no longer needed. I then sent a post to the owner of the company via the company's Facebook page- again hoping they'd try to make the situation right. It was flat out ignored. Not deleted. Not blocked. Just ignored. It's sitting out there on their page if anyone would like to see it (posted Tuesday, 9/20/2011). I can't believe I just paid these crooks almost $500 dollars to basically just clean my floors!!!!! YOU ARE A FOOL IF YOU EVER USE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would not call them again. For the price I expected to walk into a house that is very clean but it just wasn?t. I don?t mind paying for something if it is done well but they skipped certain things and some things were done poorly. I called them to let them know that I was not satisfied but they gave me attitude as if I had done something wrong. They sent somebody back out but they acted like I was bothering them. They were supposed to do a deep and thorough clean the first time then just upkeep, but I never had them come back for subsequent visits because I was so upset with their first visit.

When I called, the flyer make it look like they were local, but it was an answering service in another state. I then got a call from thier local branch and they were very professional and able to set a time for 2 people to come to our house for 2 hours. They originally told me they would be there at 8:30, but then called the day before to tell me they would be there at 9:00. We had a showing scheduled at 11:00, so I thought it would be cutting it close, but would be ok. The two ladies didn't arrive until 9:10 and because I had to show them what I wanted done, they didn't get started until 9:20. They were both very nice and professional. Needless to say, not everything got done. The next day, I went back to some of the tasks they had supposedly accomplished (detail clean cupboards in kitchen, clean front doors/entrance and get scuffs off), and found that they had either missed all of the lower cupboards or had done a bad job. I cleaned again myself. Also, I bought a box of magic erasers and spent 30 minutes cleaning the scuffs off of the front door. When I had finished, the door looked brand new. Having them over was supposed to save me some time in a stressful situation. I feel like I wasted my money having them come over to help me with the house.

The cleaning was excellent as always. I use this service monthly and they consistently exceed my expectations. They use organic cleaners and pay attention to the little things, like making sure things are put back in an organized manner. Their customer service is good as well, they provide reminders of the cleaning appointments and call you if there are any questions. I would highly recommend this service.
