He did a great job removing the old wallpaper from our bedroom. Was very personable and friendly. We were a little caught off guard that the price only included 1 person doing the wallpaper removal, and since he had his helper with to assist, it cost us double the Angie's List big deal price. We were still very grateful for their services, as it's not a fun job and we're glad that we don't have to worry about doing that ourselves! Would definitely recommend this company and would consider using them in the future for any painting needs.

They were very responsive and that was what we appreciated. The first day they came they did not bring enough products to spray on the wall paper. They just had a tiny bit in one bottle so they said they could not do very much that day. That was frustrating because that was their job and they had to come back another day. They did do a nice job but I felt the professionalism could be a little more. There were two of them here so there was some extra time for them to do something so I asked if they could do some patching after they removed the wallpaper. There were some cracks in the wall that needed to be repaired and they did some of the repairs and patched over the rest. It needs to be redone and that was frustrating. They were kind of disappointed we did not hire them for the paint job but after seeing that unprofessionalism we did not use them. We were looking behind the stove to see if wallpaper was there but he responded as if he did not like the job, so that unprofessional.

I first contacted Chad Germsheid, owner of Accomodating Painting, through an Angie's List "Deal." I was not able to have the service done during the first two months after I purchased it. After that, I had a little trouble getting in touch with Chad. Twice I left a message on his phone that he did not return. When we were able to connect Chad was always pleasant and professional. However, once the date was set we went through a couple of false starts when he was not able to come the day he had promised. The reasons he gave were understandable and I was not in a rush, but the postponements were inconvenient. Chad was very pleasant to have working here and was careful about cleaning up at the end of each day. The project took two partial days. He brought a helper on day two so that he could finish when promised. The wallpaper was very difficult to remove and there were a few nicks in the plaster at the end of the project. I was expecting this and felt the job was done as carefully as possible. Even though I ended up giving Chad a "B" rating, I would hire him again for this job. Wallpaper removal is a tedious job requiring experience and good tools. While the end result was not perfect, I feel it was within the range of what can be expected. The price was reasonable and Chad was very nice to deal with other than the difficultly of getting in touch with him early on.

Chad was responsive when I signed up for the Angie's Deal. It did take a little while for him to get to the project because of all his business, but I was not in any hurry. He was unable to complete the project the first time out. He was responsive about scheduling a second appmt and finished the job. He did a nice job and cleaned up well after himself.

They had cancelled the appointment on the day of a couple of times. They did spend a little more time on the job to make up for it. The wallpaper was very difficult to remove. They were able to remove wallpaper from some of the walls, but the job was not finished. After they completed the job, I saw that were damages to the drywall. They asked if I had wanted to hire them for the repair and we declined. Overall, my experience with them was not too great.

We had 2 rooms that needed the wallpaper removed. We purchased an AL coupon for 4 hours of wallpaper removal. We knew the job was bigger than what could be done in 4 hours. Accommodating Painting got a reasonable amount of work done in the 4 hours and we did hire them for some additional time beyond the coupon. They were responsive to questions before starting the project and were flexible on the additional hours on the project. They would have gotten a higher rating from us if they had arrived on time or called that they were delayed.
Lower level bedroom was in dire shape to be updated. There was dark woodwork and old dark paneling on the walls. Chad's work was of the highest quality. Chad's paid attention to all the small details and I highly recommend him. I would not hesitate to hire Chad again for my painting needs. He was very professional and pleasant to work with.
We signed up for a deal with Accommodatng Painting for a one room, one day paint job for $199. I signed up knowing that I needed a large ceiling painted (essentially all of my main floor except the mud room). In the next few days, Chad and I communicated about whether the deal included ceilings, which he said it did. After that discussion, I mentioned that I needed it done before an upcoming bridal shower that I was hosting for my niece. Despite a little confusion about when I needed the job done by, Chad was nothing but amazing. He was very professional and accommodating (hey - like the name!). He really made sure that everything turned out better than we expected. Initially we discussed having Chad do the ceiling in one room based on the super deal. However, we later discussed having Chad do the rest of the main floor. He quoted us a rate of $30/hr for the additional work. He thought that between the two areas, he could get every thing done in 2 days total. We also paid for the paint.

So we agreed with that plan and Chad got to work. Day 1 he carefully and skillfully moved our furniture and taped off the ceilings. He did the painting the second day as planned.

When I got home, I was, at first, a bit concerned because my husband told me that there was a problem. He said that Chad removed the tape that attached the plastic tenting to the walls and the tape removed some of the wall paint. However, this was one of those times that separates the amateurs from the true professionals. Chad agreed to do whatever he could to make us happy. We talked about how this was a rare event and that it was no one's fault. I didn't want him to have to take all of the responsibility when the situation wasn't his fault and he said the same. We came to an agreement that I would pay him a small amount and he would double coat all of the areas where the paint came off with our wall paint (we already had some at home). However, after getting to work on the project (it went quickly), Chad insisted that he wouldn't allow us to pay him for the touch ups. He insisted that it went so quickly and so well that it didn't make sense for us to pay him. He refused to take even a cent.

All in all, Chad did a fabulous job and exceeded our expectations at every turn.

It was beautiful but it was the day of the painting so he just scraped the paint. I can see many variations in the painting that tells me they scraped and it looks uneven. I think he did a fine job but I feel crisis now of the whole big deal thing. It was fine and I have no problem with what they did but I think it's more of the advertising. For what they could do, the quality was fine but for what I wanted, it wasn't. That's the deals fault. That's not their fault.
