I am taking the opportunity to express my gratitude and thanks to Allan and his team (Tom, Mike, Jerry and all others) who preformed work in my home after flooding damage resulted from a broken water line caused by the 2020 TX winter storm. Allan and his group were super responsive, knowledgeable, skilled and made the experience a positive one. They were all extremely professional and courteous (cleaned up in all areas they worked in) and efficient throughout the entire process. Prices were fair and reasonable! No need to look any further! I highly endorse Allan and team @ AC Cornerstone Building for a job well done!

Allan & the guys working at AC Cornerstone do quality work. They built my house in 2005. I know they build quality because I watched the attention to detail and selection of quality materials that last. In 16 years, I've had only minor/expected maintenance issues. Everything still works. No cracks in the rock. This house is solid and built to last decades. I love this house. Building anything can be stressful with 1000's of choices and unanticipated problems. Allan's friendly personality takes away the stress and he has the knowledge/experience to solve or work around any problem. Happy Long-term Customer

Quote was detailed and accurate. Schedule was set and kept, with accurate updates. Crew was on time, professional, and courteous at all times. Crew cleaned up area totally each night. They took great pains to insure the lawn was protected as much as possible. I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to anyone.

Allan and his crew Tom (floor/kitchen) / Jerry (drywall contractor) are very professional. Not much talking but they communicated with you actively when the time comes. Guys showed up on time and the designated schedule was followed accordingly. The quality of work is good and the quote is accurate. I'll call him again if I need anything in the future.

We unfortunately experienced a house fire and the home was gutted down to the studs. Allan was great to work with. Allan and his guys really care about their customers and the quality of their work. They are true craftsman. Changes and surprises came up, but we always received good communication and recommendations on the path forward. They were dependable and professional throughout. We truly wouldn't have made it through without them. These are the contractors you actually want to work with!

Due to the size of our project, Allan and his team spent several months on our property. They were consistently honest, punctual, reliable, and delivered a quality product. My husband and I have flipped a few homes and understand the pains of flakey sub-contractors and shotty work all too well. Working with Allan was a nice break from those headaches. Anytime there were issues or concerns, they were promptly corrected and fairly addressed. I should also mention that they were always clean, which I really appreciated due to us living in the home that was being remodeled. They cleaned up every day after they were done and always kept the job site tidy. What I liked the most about Allan is that he manages his projects himself and checks in on his team's or any subs brought in to direct them and review their completed work. If they did something wrong Allan would point it out and tell us what he was doing to fix it versus hiding it. At the time of our project Allan seemed to run in the mid-range when it came to cost, but the peace of mind and quality work he delivers are well worth it. His team of skilled workers all seemed to have worked for him for years and I'm sure that's due to him paying them fair wages and not using undocumented laborers. During the year + he worked for us, we only saw 1 employee leave and always saw the same faces at our house. I can't say enough about how happy we are now with the finished property and how grateful we are to Allan and team. The decision on who to trust for large, stressful, and expensive home construction project is a big one. I'm pleased with the quality of the work, and with the transparency and honesty of the foreman and the crews. They are very clear about what must be done, and when the inevitable changes and problems appear, they're very clear about what your options are to get the project back on track. It seldom takes over a day to figure things out. And changes don't always hit your wallet - I've had projects with A.C. Cornerstone go both over and under original estimates. Finally, these guys don't leave you with a mess when the job is done - They clean things up well. Photos below show house before and after the deck addition that they did for me in 2013.

Allan and his team did a wonderful job. They were punctual, professional and clean with the workmanship. The cabinets that were installed are beautiful and we couldn't be more pleased with everything. From the very beginning, we were impressed with Allan and how he priced out everything for us giving us options on the countertop and the sink/faucet for the bar. The process did take some time but was worth the wait. John and Jessie were quiet and efficient with the work that was done. When there was a hiccup with the countertop install, Allan made sure the vendor came back and cleaned up. He was the only contractor who paid attention to the type of wood we wanted in the cabinets which was impressive. When we had last minute changes like an outlet at the end of the bar, they were able to incorporate that into the plan. If we have future needs, we would always hire Allan.

He was friendly, professional, timely and happily tackled anything I threw at him. He kept my budget in mind during the whole process and did a great job keeping expenses down. He and his crew were a pleasure to work with and I would hire him again in an instant. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with him.

I could not be more pleased. Allan Millard, owner of AC Cornerstone Building Company, LLC, and his crew were competent, professional, punctual, and perfectionists. If I had questions, they were answered. If I needed guidance, I was given options with the facts behind each option. It was my desire to have a home that was beautiful, convenient, and well-built. I have all of that with the assurance that I can call on Mr. Millard at any time and he will come to check on any problem that might arise. It was a pleasure to work with him and I would not hesitate to call on him again for any construction needs I might encounter.

Allen was the best. He took my vision and made it a reality when no other contractor could. I love the results! He and his crew were easy to work with and reliable.

<p>It took awhile to get the project started but Allan was always in touch and came to give an estimate and was thorough, punctual and professional.  He had other jobs to finish but once his two guys got started they showed up, got the job done and were pretty good at cleaning up.  It took a week because we changed the door and Allan picked up the Pella door that we ordered at Lowe's.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />We are pleased with the results.  The back door to the vegetable garden replaced a small window and had to be put in the brick side of the house.  They took matching floor tile we had and did a great job making the doors look like they have always been here.</p> <p>We got at least 4 bids for this project and Allan was the most reasonable and most thorough with his quote and explaining what needed to be done.  They also had to move electrical outlets and that added a little time to the project.  They put an additional outside outlet in for us as well as moving the inside outlet.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>I would definitely use Allan and his company again and would feel confident referring Cornerstone to friends and family.</p> <br />

The service was perfect, it was outstanding. There were 4 workers everyday from Monday to Friday. The workers were excellent. They cleaned up everyday. They were meticulous, and treated like it was their own.

They were very good. They do a really good job, clean up after themselves and they are very polite. I keep going back to them with more work because they do such great work but the only problem is that they are so busy. It can be hard to get a hold of them.

<p>The patio is lower in the middle and doesn't have correct fall from house.. therefore, water pools against house.  I would figure this is a no brainer for a concrete installer.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Also, the "deal" for concrete work they are offering offers NO PREP WHATSOOVER.  IF dirt needs to be removed off site you will pay.  This is probably a standard charge that most contractors would understand and know about.  But this is not for us "retail" mom and pop do it yourselfers.  </p> <p><br /></p> <p>This contractor basically falls back on the "you are being your own contractor and you should know all this" type attitude as a contractor.  </p> <p><br /></p> <p>also, he gave me a bid without looking at the project in person which is a no-no.  The bid looked incredible good on the front end, but by the time all the "add ons" were included it cost as much as the more reputable foundation/concrete companies in Austin. </p> <p>Again, things like "dirt removal" will not be included unless SPECIFICALLY worded.  Dirt will be moved to a corner of your yard and that dirt will be yours to move or pay them to move it.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Good luck.</p> <br />

They did a very good job. The quality of work was outstanding. They were very professional. They did good quality work. Everything is an A. I would absolutely use them in the future.

AC Cornerstone was responsive and built a beautiful outdoor patio area for us.  Pricing for the project was fair and a good value.  Building did take some time to complete it but we were in no rush and the finish was worth the wait.  I would recommend them for any home improvement job.

.I am very happy with the service provided by Allan, Eric, Mike, Nathan and the team at AC Cornerstone and I would definitely recommend them and would call them again when I have another project. <br /> Allan help me with a major household remodel.  I think I updated everything in the house (from new shower to all the door hardware) but the kitchen counters.  <br /> What did AC Cornerstone do that made me so happy?  Here are some examples: <br /> (1) Very detailed estimates.  I am very detailed oriented and the estimates were very clear and even very minor things were itemized item by item. I felt I always knew what work would be performed and exactly what was going to cost. <br /> (2) Accurate invoicing.  The invoicing was as detailed and clear as the estimates.  The cost was exactly what the estimate had stated. There were no surprises. <br /> (3) Flexibility.  As with any home project, the project scope grew and grew as we found more things that needed work and also made some nice updates.  The team was very flexible and seamlessly accommodated all the changes that I kept requesting.  And they did it with a very pleasant attitude which was great. <br /> (4) Communication.  Allan kept me informed of all steps of the project via email, calls and text.  I always knew what was going on and knew the schedule we were working with.  This was very important as I was living in an extended stay hotel during my remodel and I was very anxious to come back to my house. All my calls, emails, texts were returned very promptly. I knew in advance if they were going to be out of town for the weekend too! <br /> (5) Professionalism. I had my blue tape in hand to mark all the punch list items.  I had to really dig deep to find things to tape.  The workmanship was excellent. I am very pleased on how my house looks.  I also contracted with other "big box" stores for some other work at the same time and there was no comparison.  The big box store required multiple phone calls, re-schedulings, average if not mediocre work, awful follow-up and trash everywhere.  I think that is why I was able to notice the contrast between AC and the "other" contractors.  Next time, I will just let Allan do everything and no more trying to get those "specials:" at the "big box stores" <br /> (5) Great Attitude.  The team had a great attitude, they were very polite and respectful. When I was at home, they kept the disruptions to a minimum.  Everyone was a great communicator and did they job very well. I always knew who was working at my house.  As a female, I felt comfortable knowing the people that were working in the house. It is nice to not have a whole bunch of strangers showing up! <br /> (6) Cost.  AC Cornerstone is not the cheapest contractor but it is not the most expensive either (from the quotes I received) but I think the cost was very consistent with the quality of work performed.  I am very cost conscious and had a tight budget and the final amount even with all the changes was what I was expecting. <br /> (7) Cleanliness.  Again, maybe because I saw AC's work side by side with the "other" contractors work that I noticed the difference.  The big box team left a super huge mess, construction materials everywhere, in my yard, flower bed, garage, trash bin, recycling bin.  AC kept the mess to a minimum. They used a big box in the garage to keep the leftover materials and other materials such as paint cans were also stored in my garage.  Today, Allan came by and hauled it all away. Yeah! <br /> (8) Involved. For a part of my project we had to deal with my insurance company.  The insurance company was being a pain but Allan acted as a great advocate with the insurance and when he communicated with my insurance I always knew what was going on too. <br /> (9) Nice selections.  The team helped me make some of my house selections (like my title pattern).  Very good eye for design. <br /> (10) OK, so by now you should get why I was happy with AC Cornerstone and why I wanted to share my review.  Last but not least, I wanted to thank Allan and his team for my new and improved beautiful home, Awesome job guys,  :-) <br /> Lydia <br /> <br /> <br />

Allan's bid was well below the others we considered, and the final product was exactly what we wanted.  Upfront he had great ideas to improve the project.  Construction went smoothly and he always kept us informed.  His team, including Tom, Mike, Eric and Nathan were all very professional and did fine work,  His subs were also very good; on time and did quality work.  When we had to make modifications, Allan discussed the options with us.  There were no surprises and we are very pleased with the work. <br /> The only suggestion I have is to study the allowances.  The allowances in the bid for things like lighting, fixtures and tile were on the low end (what it would cost if you bought off the shelf at Home Depot).  We've done several remodels on previous homes and knew going in we'd probably pay a bit more to get the quality we wanted, so we weren't surprised when the cost of such items were not covered by the allocations.  The extra cost was minimal in consideration of the entire project and, as stated, based on our choice. <br /> AC Cornerstone is one of the best contractors we've ever worked with and we would hire them again without hesitation.  Honest, fair, good quality, nice guys, good work.  You can't ask for more than that. <br />
