Accurate Foundation Repair

It was great. They came out on the date I had selected. They completed the job in one day. Cleaned everything up before they left. I paid for the work after it was completed. They changed me exactly what was quoted to me.

I gladly recommend Accurate Foundation Repair. They recently added to my home 9 new exterior and 5 new interior piers plus adjusted several already existing piers. The crew arrived promptly and obviously knew what they were doing. Doors that wouldn't close now close and lock perfectly. Thank you Accurate Foundation.

My foundation work involved both outside and inside piers. Inside there were jackhammers, lifting with bottle jacks, welding, and concrete work. The mess was kept to a minimum. Accurate used steel piers to reach bedrock. Concrete piers would not, a real selling feature. Just finished a few days ago, but overall the house is much better.

Everyone was Professional. Crew showed up the day promised, hit the job hard, finished quick and they left the yard better than they found it after work was done. There was rain delays, but they doubled up and did a great job. Despit bushs and concrete in the way, they dug holes fast and leveled the house without incident. The teams are very skilled in what they do. Accurate staff was easy to work with.

The work went well and crew cleaned up afterwards. Estimate was for 6 piers and did not include one extra pier that had to be installed so price went up but did honor discount for Angie's List. Price of plumber and engineer inspections included.

We hired a structural engineer to inspect our foundation because a crack appeared on the kitchen floor. He concluded that the installation of 9 steel pilings was needed and recommended a couple of contractors, including Accurate Foundation Repair. I contacted AGR through Angie's List and they called back the next day to schedule an appointment at my home. After a walk through with the sales rep, I received a thorough explanation of the job and a fair cost estimate so we hired them for the job. Their crew was showed up as scheduled and was very polite. They waited for the engineer that I hired separately before lifting the house. The cracks closed after the house was lifted. A couple of weeks later, they sent a plumber to conduct a leak test. All went great.

We are having an issue with the concrete footing of a pier and beam foundation on a house that is over 87 years old. I contacted Accurate Foundation Repair and requested an inspection of our foundation. Chad arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. We walked through the house and we discussed areas where the floors were slightly sloping and the two small hairline cracks in our hallway ceiling. Chad gave an honest opinion as to whether or not these issues needed addressing and the problems that might arise from fixing them. It was decided that the small issue of the minor foundation problems were not a problem and could be left alone unless something changed.  <br /> The larger issue and the reason I contacted Accurate Foundation Repair was due to the concrete footing along one side of the house. It appears to be bowing out and causing the wood to separate from the frame. Chad looked over the area and determined that the issue would require a structural engineer to inspect. Chad was honest and up front with me and told me that he would not be able to fix the problem with the structure. He provided me with names of  engineers to contact. <br /> I really appreciate the honesty and recommendation that I received from them.  Thank you Chad and Accurate Foundation Repair!! <br />

This company was 1 of 3 provided as a recommendation from my structural engineer.  The original person who visited was a typical salesman, but we really liked working with the staff & crew.  They did a great job with as little impact as possible (which was difficult considering 5 internal piers).  The team hand dug the 4' deep trench to install the root barrier as to avoid contact with plumbing, pipes, etc.  Work was completed in 2 days.  The only negative I would have is I didn't like the plumbing company they referred us to.   <br /> <br /> <br />

With all the rain at the beginning of the year my house had really settled,doors and windows sticking really bad, after accurate did the work my house seemed like it was brand new again, If I ever have to do any foundation work on another property, only accurate foundation repair will do the work... This is my third time having my foundation repaired by Accurate <br /> and the service has dramatically gone down. I had no issues with my first 2 <br /> services, but this one has been nothing but frustrating. I had to email several <br /> times and call to get the date when the repair would be done. The first step of <br /> the process for  them to have structural <br /> engineer report done before starting work. As our date approached for the <br /> repair my wife started contacting Accurate that the structural engineer had not <br /> been to our house. They told her that the engineer had been to our house. I <br /> then called them and repeated that the engineer had never been to my house and <br /> they told me that I was wrong and the engineer had been to my house twice. I <br /> explained that unless they broke into my home and did the test that the <br /> engineer had not been there.  Accurate <br /> then finally looked closer and discovered they had my home mixed up with <br /> someone else and the engineer had not been there even though they were going to <br /> start work that week. They came and completed the work efficiently, however they <br /> left plastic and cardboard stapled to the walls and did not remove staples in <br /> the wall that I had to remove and patch. They aggressively required payment <br /> immediately after the repair and before the second engineering report so I had <br /> to pay before knowing if the work was done correctly. The second engineer did <br /> came as expected was friendly and no issues, however it is almost 2 months <br /> later and I have still not been able to get a copy of either structural <br /> engineering reports from Accurate. Accurate?s plumber immediately scheduled an <br /> appointment to do a plumbing check and I took a half day from work and they did <br /> not show up or call. They did reschedule and came out and did the testing. We <br /> have been unable to get any information from the plumber or Accurate other than <br /> the plumbing test failed. I am bringing another plumber out to test the system <br /> as I have no data or faith in the information coming from Accurate. Through <br /> this process the service people have been rude and the conversations have been <br /> like we are bothering them to make sure everything is scheduled and being <br /> completed. I had great service in the past with Accurate, but I cannot recommend <br /> them anymore based on this last service. <br /> <br /> <br />

The job went very well, starting with the initial contact and estimate.  Work commenced and ended on schedule.  The crew was considerate throughout the process and cleaned up the work area at the end of each day.  A Limited Lifetime Warranty was issued upon completion of the process. <br />

REVIEW OF ACCURATE FOUNDATION <br /> had an older house experiencing foundation problems from typical causes for an older house (tree roots, soil, plumbing, etc.) interviewed several companies and selected accurate foundation after they met with us several times and explained the details of their process and the work. their price was competitive as well so we selected them. <br /> then the changes occurred. the salesman we worked with in reviewing and pricing the work handed out project of to the construction supervisor. he was not present in any of our meetings and was difficult to understand and get a hold of. <br /> the scope of work extended over a few days so i was not able to be present for every moment of the construction. not wanting to ever deal with this problem again, we opted to install over 40 piers around the perimeter of the house to insure equal treatment for the problem. <br /> we asked the construction foreman to communicate with us about when and what was going on with the work. he failed to do this (all we asked for was a simple email). our salesperson only made one other appearance in the project. there was also additional aesthetic damage to the house from the equipment and digging that was discovered only after they had left (pool turf replacement, damage to wood facia on roof). <br /> we've waited a couple years to really evaluate the work and make sure it was doing its job before reviewing. <br /> BOTTOM LINE.....their work seems not to have done any good. all the cracks, separations and door issues have all returned to an equal or greater extent. in short, we have no noticeable result for the extensive money we spent. <br /> we called to discuss this with them and of course the sales person we dealt with was no longer with the company. they did have someone come out, but they basically shrugged as us and said there was nothing else they could do. <br /> OVERALL A TREMENDOUSLY DISAPPOINTING AND REGRETFUL EXPERIENCE. <br /> advice to offer. <br /> DO: <br /> -work directly with the owner of the company only. if you are dealing with a salesperson, then you are likely to have no recourse. <br /> -get an independent engineer report (however, they too are not responsible for failures) <br /> -be present during all the work and document with photographs and methods <br /> -take photos of the area BEFORE and after construction <br /> -do get a plumber to test the lines with a camera if the work is extensive to insure no damage occurred to your lines or no new leaks were created <br /> -insist on site protection for lawn and landscape (have them remove planting of note, have them lay down plywood for all construction equipment <br /> -do include in the contract scheduled follow ups and inspections to your house with the owner (3 months, 6 months, 1 year). this will let them know that you are not going to go away and they will have to come back to see and answer for any failures. <br /> -get a written lifetime warranty for the work so you have it for future sale <br /> -make sure you talk specifics about any failures or future repairs. assume that the piers will fail and how you will address these repairs. <br /> -do insist on a record of the location and depth of each pier <br /> -do have the crews make a physical mark on the foundation for the location of the piers for future reference. <br /> -do contact past customers and get their direct input on the experience and the viability of the work after several years. <br /> DONT: <br /> -deal with a salesperson. insure you are talking directly with the owner. <br /> -dont fail to document the process from start to finish. (plans, photos, etc.) <br /> -forget to get an engineer's inspection <br /> -dont fail to get a list of references of people you can contact who have had their work done several years ago. <br /> -use this company. look elsewhere for better service and results. <br /> -assume that this will make your older house look new. it is a band aid, not a rebirth. <br /> good luck. <br /> <br />
