AC Dave Heating & Air

We have been using AC Dave since we moved close to downtown LA in 2017. Our neighbors recommended the company when we needed some maintenance work done on our AC system. They have been providing maintenance/checkups twice a year - ever since. The customer service is great - including the folks in the office who handle the calls. In the last couple years, Leo has primarily been providing the service and does a really thorough job explaining any needed fixes. That has included an algae pad to help with the system’s water flow. I know AC Dave’s home base is pretty far from where we live. I hope he/his crew continue to work with customers in our area for years to come.

We hired AC Dave to install a heating & cooling unit, after using them for our old unit's maintenance for years. It was a unit that. went on the roof, so installation was no small task. They did a fantastic job, kept the area clean, were extremely courteous, and we felt like we were hiring family to help us out. They pulled all of the permits which cost extra of course, but it saved us the hassle of dealing with the city and handled the post work city inspections.

It went very very good experience. The service man was on time he had his equipment he explained to me what needed to be done once he checked out the unit. He put the part on and next thing you know he was out the door and I had a smile on my face because I had HEAT!

I had AC Dave preform three jobs for me over the past few years. (1) New ducts a few years ago. (2) Installed a mini-split heat pump in master bedroom this year. (3) Then a few months later I had him remove my old Central AC and replace it with an 18 SEER heat pump and new coil, all the while leaving my old furnace in place as a back up. Dave and his guys did a great job on all three projects, completing each one in a day. Highly recommended.

Great professional service. Showed up next day to fix my AC. They found and repaired the previous work done by another company. If you want the work done correctly and you want to pay fair pricing, call them. The previous company I used were not honest and sold me fixes I did not need and did not repair the things that needed to be repaired. I think they did this so they could continue to come out and charge me for things like adding freon to my AC but never repairing the leak which I eventually found myself. The leak was in an outside line, highly visible (once I knew what to look for). I called AC Dave and they fixed it right away and my AC has never worked better.

This family owned and operated business is the best. I have been doing business with Dave for many years and always find him to be honest and reasonably priced. His staff including his wife and other employees are always kind and respectful and extremely competent. Hire this company and you won't be sorry. I called during the heat wave at 9:30 pm (after hours) one night and at 7:30 the next morning I received a call back saying they can squeeze me in. I was overjoyed because I know how busy they were that week with temps being well into the 100's in the valley. They arrived within the time frame they said they would. The guys who came out were super knowledgeable and friendly. They had just come from spending many hours on another roof in the hot sun but they gave great service! I highly recommend AC Dave's company.

I called on a Tuesday and by Friday they gave me an estimate to install which I accepted. They installed my unit on Monday only 6 days after my initial call. They were on time and very polite and informative. They were reasonably priced and very efficient. I was impressed which is not an easy thing to do. Dave's workers arrived promptly, behaved professionally and got the job done. The price was good and the work great.

Everything went well. We've been using AC Dave since the installation of our system in 2007. We keep going back for a reason. On this particular job I was struck with the unfortunate sticker shock of current refrigerant pricing, but this is the market and not Dave. I would refer anyone to Dave (just did a couple of days back) unreservedly.

Twice a year AC Dave comes to inspect our heating and cooling equipment. Their people always show up on time. They are well prepared because they know our house as we have retained them a little of ten years, since we acquired the house. There is always a good explanation at the end of what's up, like equipment that's still good, but obviously getting old, and may have to be updated or replaced. We're glad to have AC Dave as a reliable back-stop in case things might go awry, but so far so good.

My zone dampers had stopped functioning correctly so I was getting heat and AC in both zones at all times. AC Dave was able to come out, diagnose the problem and order replacement parts very quickly. Plus he was very pleasant to work with. I would definitely use AC Dave again.
