Do not recommend. Customer service was definitely some of the worst ever. They would not communicate and then lie about trying to communicate when they obviously didn't. I've had better times with cable companies. Reliability was also a major issue with these guys. They could not keep to a consistent timeline. It was a roll of the dice on what day they'd actually show up.

The crew showed up regularly, but not reliably. Sometimes on Saturdays, sometimes on Fridays,which could be a surprise if I was expecting them one day and they showed up the other. They also just mowed - the did not trim the edges of the lawn, and were very rough on the furniture that was on the lawn on the first day they came. However, my mother was paying them and had to leave the country -- the contract and the property are mine. She missed two months at the very end of the mowing season for a total of $180. We got a letter, at my address, about the missed payments and I sent a check on January 26th; cashed by Ace on February 1. This is where things get fun. At the beginning of April, I start getting invoices from Ace about owing $225: The alleged overdue $180, plus $45 for the first two weeks of April. I let him know, via email, that the check was sent, it was cashed, and that there had been no mowing done on the property at all. We spoke on the phone and he said that it was probably an accounting mistake, and I sympathized as these things happen. He requested a copy of the cashed check, which was provided to him on May 23rd. His response: Thank you I will review our records and be in touch. We also agreed that I did not owe him money for services not provided and the contract would be severed, all over email. I got a letter from him with another invoice at the beginning of June, which I ignored, but left him a voice mail letting him know I had gotten the letter and requesting that he contact me. Nothing. Then last week I got ANOTHER letter from him, threatening legal action. This time, when I called the phone number listed on the invoice, it rolled over to a voice mail with a different phone number that does not identify whether the business is Ace Lawn or not. I also sent an email. There has been no response. I see that he is very diligent about responding to reviews here; it will be interesting to see if he responds to this review before responding to my phone calls or emails. With such terrible accounting practices and letters threatening to take me to court over a debt that was proven to have been paid, there is not a chance I would recommend this company to anyone else.

Ace was fantastic to work with. Jim (owner) was super responsive over email. He was able to get a team to me on short notice and had the work done on a Sunday morning nonetheless. Jim's team were punctual, polite, and efficient. We would definitely work with Ace again in the future.

The problem with Ace is that the owner isn't very good at communicating. We sent a check that did not have my name on it but the address was the same as on the account. He never bothered to look at the address and decided that we had not payed him. Instead of calling us, he depended on email to tell us that he was not going to mow until he was paid. Long story short, he lost our account over a phone call and then did what a lot of people do when they are wrong about something, blame the other party. If he had just gone away, that would have been fine, but he still thinks we owe him the same money from that check that he made the mistake about. Now, he keeps harassing us about it. Watch out for accounting errors from Ace. Very poor way to run a business.

The true story is This customer called for lawn service, We responded in a good time frame. He has 2 acres of lawn and I charged him $70.00 per cut which is a 25% discount off normal price which I know other companies would charge $125.00 so GREAT Deal on the mowing. We cut for a couple months and I sent out his invoice end of the month like our other clients who pay on time. We never received a payment at all. I called him 3 times and emailed him Twice and no respond. I thought maybe he was having some personal issues so I decided to continue to cut in good faith. I sent out another invoice just in case he was having power issues and was un able to received the email and phone call. NOTHING STILL... So the next month came and we continue to cut, end of month came I sent out the invoice, now it is 2 Months worth of mowing. The 10th day of the 2nd month came still no payment. I emailed him and called again still nothing so I stop cutting his lawn for non-payment. Two weeks after not cutting his lawn because of non-payment he emailed me and ask why has his lawn has not been cut. I explained he has not paid us in Two months and I was un able to reach him. He was very angry and called be an "idiot" which is very un professional and said he no longer wants my service. He made a payment 10 days after our email conversation and still has a balance which will be handle accordingly. Below is a review he has left just a couple months ago. We are a super award company and always give 120% in customer service. We were having the worst time just getting our 2 acres mowing. No big deal right? Wrong. Jim the owner of ACE responded to me immediately, and sent 2 very personable and responsible young men to help us. Story short, outstanding job. Take my word for this. After 9 years of outside bulls**t, I know how?poorly it can be done. Great job.

2 gentlemen came to my house and were very polite and friendly. They worked for 4.5 hours and never stopped. They came to my door at every hour to let me know another hour had gone by and if I wanted them to continue. I really appreciated that.

I hired Ace to clean up the last two autumn's worth of leaves from my yard. The crew of three worked for four hours and cleared the worst of the build-up. They came with all the equipment needed for the job worked diligently for the entire time, and left my yard a lot clearer. <br />

Ace Lawn and Landscaping provided a very professional, friendly and incredibly efficient experience. Pricing was very reasonable. Crew arrived on time, did excellent work and was very respectful of property. Patio and walkway is beautiful and greatly improves curb appeal of home. I have about 2 acres of wooded yard and fell hopelessly behind dealing with the leaves. So I contacted the folks at ACE for some help. The staff and service was great from start to finish. <br /> They we friendly when I called to set up the appointment and worked with me to accommodate my work schedule. And, they continued to to make sure I was in the loop when the two gentlemen came to do the work. Not only did they contacted me to tell me they were going to be a bit delayed - it turned out to be about an half-hour - because of some engine troubles, they also spent time with me when the arrived to find out what my expectations were and where I wanted them to focus their efforts. Afterwards, they gave me regular progress updates. Since they were hired at an hourly rate, they wanted to make sure that they completed the work I needed done and that there were no unexpected surprises regarding the cost. Both of which, I very much appreciated. <br /> Moreover, although the cost was a bit higher than I hoped, that was because I underestimated the scale of the job. In retrospect, the cost was very fair given the herculean effort of the two gentlemen - unfortunately I can't recall their names - to clear up all of the leaves. They worked nonstop, methodically, and effectively, and were able to clean up the entire property. When they were done there wasn't so much as a leaf or branch left behind anywhere. I was amazed! <br /> I can't say enough good things about the folks at ACE. I would hire them again in an instant and would recommend them to anyone who needs work done around the yard. <br />

Mr. Wilburn's crew showed up on time Thursday to rake my leaves. They had to reschedule when the weather turned unfavorable in the middle of their work. The crew returned Friday as promised to finish the work. Since I was at the office that, I could not hand them the check in person. Mr. Wilburn let me mail it. My contractor was in the house that day take care of a project and commented that the crew did an excellent job. I inspected the results afterwards and agree. Mr. Wilburn's company will be back next year to mow my lawn and take care of my other landscaping needs. <br />

They worked very hard to level and square the retaining walls and patios. We were very impressed by the lack of cutting corners. Our original patio and retaining walls were never properly installed and they appear to have corrected this problem. For years, we also had a drainage problem on the two sides of the house. They installed a French drain on one side and a basin drain on the other. Time will tell if this completely solves the problem, but the drains were working over the last two days of rain. We were so impressed by the quality of their work that we are having them come back to do a few more landscaping items. <br />

<p>From the beginning of talking to Jim Wilburn, the Owner of Ace, to the Lawn Service with Kevin, it has been a great experience. Jim is very understanding and helped me to decide what service worked best for our lawn. He has made adjustments as necessary throughout the season.</p> <p>Kevin provides weekly service our lawn. He assesses the lawn each week and provides the care that is needed. Our lawn is beautiful when he is done.
