Aces Four installed a sewer cleanout and hydrojetted my sewer line to clean what was diagnosed as "soft blockage". They did this for half the cost of another bid, and also ran a sewer scope. I was very pleased with this work. However, the sewer scope revealed another issue further down the line causing slow draining. Because of water in the line they were not able to make a definitive diagnosis, and the blockage was too far to reach with a snake. Still, they recommended digging out the line at about $8,000. Later I found another plumber willing to attach two snakes together to clear that blockage. After that was cleared, sewer scope revealed cracks/holes that can be sealed without digging out the line for under $4,000. On one hand I really appreciate the job they did for me, and I can understand that they could not make a proper diagnosis with the water in the line. But they did not offer alternative solutions, so I had to call someone else to figure out the issue. Still, I would call them in the future, and in fact just recently did that.

Aces Four did an excellent job both before and during the installation. When the job just before ours was hung up, they kept us informed of the delay and gave us daily updates as to when they could start our job. The initial contract was for ~60 feet and when the actual installation turned out to be ~90 feet, they owned the mistake and did not charge for the difference. They re-graded the area per our request and used the left-over gravel on our path. They even swept the area where the pea-gravel had been staged. There one thing that didn't go absolutely perfectly, was minor. The sub-contractor, who did the septic tank pumping, damaged a blueberry bush and left our hose spray nozzle in the excavation where, if I hadn't seen it, it might very likely have been buried. Other than that, considering that this was a case of a failing septic system, the whole experience went very well. I would definitely hire Aces Four again.

Camera showed absolutely zero damage to the pipe. Told me I didn't need to do a darn thing. Saving me at least $8,000. They were still only going to charge me $175 because that's what he quoted me. I asked to be charged the full amount because I appreciated their honesty. If you don't use Aces Four.....you're a fool!

Aces four was several thousand less than other estimates. The work went very well, with some minor delays, and the team did a good job of cleaning up the trenches etc. they had to dig to reline the sewer. They were very kind and patient with my 4 year old boy (letting him ride in the excavator machine and take pictures). Good human beings, and they did good work. Highly recommended. There was some very minor delay in the process due to some employee sickness, but overall I was extremely happy with everything.

It's a very long story....I was basically looking to get estimates/bids on digging up a segment of the sewer line, right in the middle of the street (which may not even belong to me, but to the City/Seattle Public Utilities) after multiple sewer contractors have looked at my line. Interestingly, another plumbing/sewer company recommended that I call Rick at Aces Four for his expertise in this line of work, i.e. major sewer repair job/ big time excavations deep down the street. Rick met up with me after a few hours of me calling and he carefully surveyed the site. I showed him the video that another sewer contractor made of my line. Rick was straight to the point, "it looks like a lot of roots to me, why not get someone who is really good, to cable this thing out". I told him that I already had the line hydrojetted twice and no one seemed to want to "snake it" either because my sewer line was too long (more than 100ft long) or I was told that hydrojetting works better (because it's high tech, I suppose). He then patiently explained to me why in my situation, the good old fashioned cabling/snaking could work better than hydrojetting. He also gave me the name of a good company to call. So glad I listened to his advice. My line was snaked today, and the clog appears to have been cleared! My nightmares about having to dig up the street and butt heads with the City would probably stop now.

We received an estimate for excavating at the point of the break and replacing about 4 feet of sewer line. They discovered that the house had settled and a direct reconnection would result in insufficient downward slope to the city sewer line in the street. They e-mailed us an estimate of the additional cost with an itemization of the additional work to be done. It required still more excavation to successfully connect the line, but again they gave us an itemization of the work and estimate of the additional cost. The crew worked hard and long hours to complete the job -- always polite and friendly. Overall we were very pleased with their professionalism and willingness to proceed with the project in increments rather than give a very high estimate just to be sure to cover their costs.
I can't speak too highly of the service I have received from Aces Four. A neighbor, a retired architect, recommended them to another neighbor years ago. They were really pleased with the "above and beyond" kind of work they provided. When I asked them if they had anyone to recommend for some downspout drains that didn't seem to be working and were causing me some real problems, they suggested Aces Four. I called for an estimate and the fellow that came out did that, and then suggested I might be able to fix the problem relatively easily myself. He actually got tools from his truck and showed me what I needed to do. Sure enough by late afternoon I had it all fixed. He didn't charge me a dime. So when my neighbor and I, who share a sewer line out to the street, thought we needed some work done we called a few places for estimates. Aces Four was significantly less expensive, and on top of that offered and did additional work, for a more complete job, taking care of issues that might arise later. Again, I cannot recommend them too highly. They're great!
Rick was super friendly and helpful and explained what's involved in a new build and helped me find the water lines nearest my property. He had his guy check on the water availability at my property while they were at DPD anyways. I offered to pay him for their time and he said, "don't worry about it" and refused to invoice me. I would definitely call them again in the future.
Rick's crew did a marvelous job. After having four other companies come out and give us bids on fixing our "lagoon" in the backyard, Four Aces came up with the most logical, simplest solution for the best price. Their solution was to install four actual drains in the yard and connect them with the drainage pipe leading to the storm sewer. It was a no brainer. They were easy to schedule and they completed the work in half the time we expected it to take. They were even considerate enough to work the loud stuff around my baby's nap schedule. They had warned us that they were probably not going to be able to completely restore the lawn and landscaping, but after they were done...it looked better than before. (I'm pretty sure someone weeded a little.) This was still a big household project for a family on a budget, but we were so excited to see that the water did in fact drain down after the first big rainstorm. Now every time it rains, I truly enjoy going into the backyard and seeing that the "lagoon" is gone. They completely solved our issue.

The crew--Young, John, and Barry?showed up promptly at or before 7:30 a.m. every morning for four days. They operated two pieces of large equipment to dig a 6-ft to 10-ft trench in my side and front yards. They were very careful in a very small space, and they had to remove my fence, a rose vine, and a tall rhododendron bush. They stopped to speak with me every morning when I left the house to keep me posted on their progress.
They were very knowledgeable and skilled, motivated and enthusiastic, personable and articulate. You could tell they cared about their work. They tied the downspouts from my roof into the sewer and installed drains in my window wells to prevent flooding. They also brought in top soil and grass seed when they finished, although landscaping services were excluded in the contract.
They provided services that were not in the contract because they seem to approach the job with the perspective of providing the best value to the homeowner. They provided services I did not request because I was not savvy enough to request them. They were professionals; they had the knowledge, the access, and the skills, and they tried to help me avoid future problems with basement flooding and water damage to the foundation of my house.
I highly recommend them!
Finally, when I called the owner back to thank him, Rick said they also would credit me on the invoice because they were did not have to go all the way to the curb. They were able to tie into a sewer line I share with my neighbor.

First, I will say that I can't recommend these guys enough. They worked fast, clean, and despite two giant holes dug in my yards, there is barely any evidence that they were there. Tarps put down for the excavated dirt protected our lawn and as a result, all the dirt ended up back in the hole. They also very carefully pulled up the grass in chunks and then put them back so you can't tell from the side that it was ever dug up. (And barely from the top!)
What made this even more amazing is that our contract clearly states that the property owner is responsible for any landscaping needed after the job is over. (This was noted in all four bids we got.) So I expected to have some work after it was done. Instead they did the work, had the line inspected by the city, put everything away, and I didn't have to do anything.
There were some items that made my situation a challenge and I was honestly expecting this to be a painful process. My neighbor and I share a sewer line put in in 1958. I had been putting off the job because of the expense, but my neighbor wanted to go ahead and was willing to do a bunch of the leg work getting quotes. Aces Four's quote was the lowest bid by just a bit, pretty much in line with the two other companies we liked.
Also, the side yard where the sewer line comes out of the house was only accessible by some very old (and not very sturdy) stairs and a gate in a chain link fence. Landscaping (rock walls and trees) made going up any other way not a very easy option. A small excavator was brought in and, with my deteriorating steps protected, they rolled it up into the side lawn with zero damage or evidence they were there. All of the other companies I talked to expected to either dig by hand (more expensive) or have to pull out my fence and trees to get up there with a machine.
Every member of the Aces Four team was professional and courteous and endlessly patient with questions (mostly from my neighbor). I would recommend them without reservation.

Aces Four did a rebuild of the original footing drain along the basement side of our split level home We had early success with interior drains shortly after the home was built but had gradually been getting wet lower walls and increasing floor seepage so we wanted a ?final? solution. The total depth of the required excavation was almost 10 feet.
We had 4 bids to fix the problem with solutions from ?adding a sump? to replacing all footing drains. The Aces Four bid showed they understood our problem and their solution addressed what was needed but didn?t go overboard.
We recommend Aces Four because they are:

Thorough: Rick, the owner, took time to determine the underlying cause of our problem. When the crew encountered an unexpected underground spring he added a 3rd person to keep the project on track and make sure the flow was captured in the new drain system all within the fixed bid price.

Skilled: Yung, our project lead, did precise and quick work. My wife and I found it fascinating to watch him use the backhoe and small dozer like a surgeon. When it was time to replace the excavated material Yung could use the dozer blade to scrape right down to the plastic used to protect the lawn. Yung communicated with us regularly on the project status.

Quick: Our crew didn?t juggle multiple jobs. We got a great 2 person team, Yung and Trevor, who stayed on the project until it was done, including cleanup.

The crew also had great equipment. This is especially important if you are responsible for landscaping after the project was complete as we were. The right equipment for tight space digging does much less damage than full sized equipment would.

This was a failed sewer line segment in a 35 year old line, under a 110 year old house. There were very limited maps of where the line ran, and the problem needed a crew willing to take the time to do exploration. Aces Four made the job as easy as possible. Because the old house sits on a pier and post foundation they were very careful when using the excavator near the house. I particularly appreciate them using extra gravel left over from the job to fill potholes in the alley. Will use them again.

I can't say enough good things about Rick Sr., Rick Jr., his crew, and the office staff. Everyone we had contact with was very pleasant, professional, and responsive. After waiting for a few weeks after we signed a contract with them while we looked for a concrete contractor, they were able to come out as soon as we told them the concrete driveway had been removed. They replaced and rerouted our sewer line from the house to the sidewalk, were fast, punctual, clean, and Rick Jr. called to let us know when they were completely done and gone from the property. Great service.
