Run...do not walk...away from this place. After reading several positive reviews and have a recommendation from a neighbor I chose ACLV to install a heat pump unit on my roof, this was in 2016. Three months after install the unit started leaking, it has broken down every year since installation. ACLV NEVER reported the issues with the unit to LENNOX. So LENNOX even though the unit had broken down 7 times in three years they would not help me because ACLV never reported the issues. Not during this time the unit had already been REBUILT twice, I had to call LENNOX tech services myself and put them in touch with the ACLV repair tech to walk them through the rebuild. Also, at some point after this, not sure LENNOX dropped ACLV from their preferred provider plan. So after the rebuild when the unit broke down again ACLV had the nerve to want to charge me $1500 to repair it. The "MANAGER" showed up at my house all pretending to care and acting like he was some kind of HVAC tech wearing dress shoes, he couldn't even get on the roof to inspect the unit. I asked him to help me with LENNOX and he said" he would try", but only to never return a single phone call again. I had to fight with them for another 8 months to try and get copies of all the repairs they did and the photos they took to which I have still never received. After 4 other companies came and gave me estimates, most would only replace they unit as NONE wanted to be a part of the "ACLV DRAMA" as on tech put it. My only choice was to let ACLV do the repair for $1500 but LENNOX refused to give the parts to ACLV or repair the unit. If ACLV has just done the right thing from the beginning and taken ownership of the problems and contacted LENNOX like they were required to do under the warranty that unit would have been replaced. But they didn't. They didn't do their job, they didn't take care other client, they didn't live up to the responsibility of being a preferred provider. Basically they are just not good at their job. An HVAC unit is a lot of money to invest in your home and to trust with a company that doesn't care about you or the work. Eventually I had the unit replaced with a new company.

They responded very quickly, did the job well, and gave us recommendations for upgrades to avoid problems in the future.

We had a difficult experience with (1) a phone rep who hung up on my wife when we reminded her she promised that LVAC would dispatch an after hours tech to our residence two nights ago. (2) A tech who incorrectly diagnosed our HVAC unit as unrepairable and unchargeable. (3) A tech who said there are no HVAC 'stop leak products' on the market we could use which is not True. In our opinion, LVAC made our family suffer in a heat wave without AC because they wanted our landlord to buy a new unit. The LVAC tech also reinstalled the fuse upside down and closed the fuse box so we did not notice the unit had been totally disabled. We got the SNAP AC company to come out, put the fuse in correctly and charge the unit. We now have cold air by using SNAP AC and Plumbing LLC.
Response from ACLV Heating & Cooling
"Hi, All I can do here is responds with the facts of the situation after looking into it. As a tenant, I know how helpless it can feel sometimes with the process involved in a major repair like this. We record all of our calls, and I have no evidence of our rep hanging up on you guys. I take this kind of accusation very seriously, and I've screened all the calls related to this, and even went back to the call from last fall. In every call, our reps were respectful and very accommodating. If you have a specific time that you called, I can email you a copy of the call in question so you can hear it for yourself. 2. The diagnosis of your unit was correct. You have a leak in the outdoor condenser. We have instructions from your property manager whom we have worked with for years. We followed the instructions that they gave us and were awaiting an approval on how to proceed. 3. The leak that you have, is non-repairable and a leak stop would not work in this circumstance. I have pictures of the active leak if you need to see it for yourself. 4. When a unit has an active leak, EPA guidelines do not allow us to recharge and go if it is over a certain amount of loss, which this unit falls under. The fuse was installed upside down to prevent further damage to the compressor which can not run on a dry system until the landlord gives us a decision. I sincerely apologize for all the inconveniences you and your family went through because of this and obviously you guys are upset. I'm grateful for Snap coming in and getting you taken care of. Unfortunately we our bound by our contract to the Property Manager and we have to follow the direction provided by them. Again, all I can do is respond to the facts after reviewing your history file. All of which is available to you if you call the office. Regards, Gerry"

I called due to this bad sweaty sock smell coming from the vents. They sent a very young 'expert' technician to come investigate. All this 'expert' did was look in our attic to tell us it looked good and then try and sell us a 1300$ specialized filter. Spent 50$ to invite someone in my home to sell me something... The technician did not check the trunk line or the trap, where mold and mildew are known to grow. And the kicker? I described the smell as a sweaty boot socks and the 'expert' was actually looking for a sweaty boot sock. Waste of my time and my money. I will not use this company ever again. Absolutely a waste.

It went great. The installers were professional, explained everything to me, and did an excellent job on the installation (all plumbed, square, level, sealed, tied down, etc..).

Professional and quick installation. When the first unit went out, I called for estimates from 4 companies. LVAC's price was very competitive as well as offering the equipment brand I had researched as being the best trade off between price and quality. When the second unit started failing 12 months later, I did not hesitate to call LVAC. FYI: My old units were over 15 years old.

Great. Technician came out and took A/C apart. Found wiring problem on contact module. Also found fan blades hitting cooling tube. Fixed the wiring and replace contact module and adjusted fan to clear the cooling tubes. Technician came out on time, (only took one day to get appt.) very pleasant and knowledgeable. Did not try to do an upsell on anything that was not needed. Will hire again if ever I need A/C service. After calling several other companies and being unhappy with their offer to repair my problem I found ACLV and they will be my A/C service company forever.

After researching for many weeks for a replacement HVAC system and all the duct work for our home, getting a number of bids from different HVAC companies in the Las Vegas area, we narrowed it down to two companies. We settled on ACLV because Mike Evans worked with us on finding the right system for our needs and answering a multitude of questions I had concerning all phases of the work to be done. By providing us with detailed information about the installation of the system and the replacing of all the duct work and what all that entailed, I felt they would do a quality work. And best of all there were no high pressure sales tactics. Mike worked with us when our budget couldn't quite reach his first bid and found us a comparable A/C unit that was well within the parameters we wanted. Mike Evans was very professional as were the whole crew who showed at 9:30 in the morning and by 5:30 that afternoon the crew of 3 and sometimes four had the whole system in place. The old rooftop unit was down and gone before we knew it with the new unit up and running with all new ductwork and an extra return in the master bedroom. And for a 2200 sq. ft. house this was amazing. I am a stickler for details and the workmanship, professionalism and dedication to their customers is fantastic. Thanks to everyone at ACLV. Extremely professional group of people and they are on my go to list for A/C work.

After getting several quotes to have our units replaced, due to their age, we decided to go with ACLV because of both their price quote and the install that was outlined. When the install date was selected they arrived on time and finished in a timely manner. It took a little longer than expected to get the drywall repair person at the house but everything was taken care of as promised.

After getting a couple of estimates for A/C replacement, I went online with NV ENERGY to check out their A/C rebate program. I found that ACLV was affiliated with their rebate program and gave them a call for an estimate. They were able to come out that day and Chris was very informative on the different brands and types of A/C systems. ACLV came in with a lower price and I was able to get the NV ENERGY rebate on top of everything. Everything was installed on time and no mess to clean up. They were professional and took the time to answer all my questions. I would definately recommend to friends or family.

I had to wait until Monday to call other companies for estimates. ACLV sent Mike out the next day to check out the unit and give me an estimate. ACLV carried several brands, including Goodman and their price was significantly lower than the other three estimates. I had spent the weekend researching brands and preferred Goodman due to the ratings. ACLV scheduled me for the next day to install a 4 ton 14 SEER Goodman split system heat pump with a ASPT Air Handler. They pulled out the old unit and air handler and installed the new unit and air handler. It was a very professional and clean installation. The new air handler was smaller than the almost 50 year old air handler so it required new duct work to connect to the house ducts. They also installed a new 3/4" plywood base, plumbing, and wiring for the air handler. ACLV also raised the outside heat pump base four inches and installed a new breaker box on the outside wall. Just a follow up: My other AC unit quit cooling two weeks later. I called ACLV expecting to need another new AC unit. Their repairman arrived the next day to check out the problem. I was embarrassed as the problem turned out to be clogged filters. I had replaced the filters less than three months earlier. However I had some outside construction taking place that raised a lot of dust plus I got two new dogs. It could have been that I had just bought a new AC from them and was ready to buy the next one from them if needed, but ACLV only charged me $25 for the service call. I have two other old AC units and when they fail, I will be calling ACLV to replacement them.

Amazing. I called early Sunday morning. They had a tech out within 2 hours. It wasn't good news (It was really, really broken), but Darrell set me up with the sort of unit he said he'd get for his parents. AND he set me up for the installation within 24 hours. These folks are totally amazing. I will keep them!

It went so well I am still smiling. I called ACLV and spoke to Cory explaining the problem. tight funds! Cory took the time to explain there was a refrig gas on the market that was compatible with an R22 system so I did not have to replace the attic evap. They made an appointment to look at the unit the next morning.....Tristan showed up that afternoon. Looked at the unit and confirmed the compressor was bad. Cory phone quoted me a price for a 4ton unit at 1/2 the price others quoted and they had it there by 8 AM the next morning. Installed and checked out by 10: AM Service just does not get better then this and when my 3 ton dies, aclv will get the call

Outstanding, again. These guys (and Gals -- Pam, Office Manager) are just awesome. This trouble was a bit tougher to diagnose, but they stuck to it and figured it out and I am up and running again. Symptoms/error code on control board within furnace unit showed something wrong with ECM Blower motor. However, ended up being a control board. Did take a couple of days to get resolved, but I am okay with that as there was constant communications and my expectations correctly set. All commitments stated were followed through on. Highly recommend this organization to anyone looking for new system, service after the sale, or even additional duct work. A+++++++++ work, and commitment to service after the sale (warranty). Kudos to Amana/Goodman as well backing their product.

Mario, Corey, Pam --- THANK YOU!

One of my two 5 Ton AC units was not blowing cold air. Did some preliminary review of problem and noticed fan in outside unit would come on, but not the compressor. At 30 minutes before scheduled time, received call from tech (Cory) telling me he was on way and when to expect. Tech showed up at time we agreed to. I passed on additional information I observed. Tech immediatly suspected capacitor, grabbed tools and measurement equipment from van. Removed part, visually inspected and explained everything he was doing (as I like to watch and learn). He replaced the capacitor, tested voltage, turned unit back on. We waited about 5 mins and lower part of house began cooling again. All resolved. Again, Totally Satisfied Customer and continue to recommend to friends and family.

They were knowledgable The sales manager is steve corbin. He was articulate and a confidence builder. They arrived on time, they acknowledged a sign I had on my car. They are very efficient. The install crew was right behind him. They took the existing unit off and strapped on the new one without incident. The install managers name was Gerald. Everything went fine. They did a courteous check of the air flow as well, and demonstrated the heating and cooling functions.

The details....
Came home, upstairs was very hot. No one had been upstairs all day. Fan was running, but no cool air. Checked some basic items, e.g. electrical circuit breakers - fine; turned system off for 20 minutes, then back on (with help) to see if fan/compressor started -- it did not.
Called ACLV ~830 PM PT. Was greeted by professionally by what I think was an answering service. Listened to my problem, took my contact info, asked me to wait while he called their on-call resource. Within ~1 min, first person and another were on line (assume someone from ACLV and reviewed the symptoms. After listening to my symptoms, she offered someone tonight to stop out or first thing in the AM. I have a busy schedule in the AM with my job, so I asked for tonight if at all possible. Not a problem. She took more details about my address, cross streets, and contact info and stated Mario would be calling me to confirm. Mario called me about 20 minutes later, who was a tech -- reviewed symptoms and agreed there was a problem. He confirmed my address and said he would be ~30 to 40 minutes. About 40 minutes later, he showed up. Very professional, friendly and we made our way out to the AC compressor units. Within 2 minutes, diagnosed the issue as a capacitor and motor problem and offered to put in a temporary capacitor tonight and come back Friday with all parts to compete repair. He offered that this would work to allow the compressor to work (motor works, he felt it needed to be replaced now) and would cool our upstairs for the night. This was totally acceptable to me. We traded more information on the unit, my original invoice info (warranty and service details I purchased) and reviewed the plan for Friday -- accommodating MY schedule.
Totally SATISFIED customer and will continue to recommend this supplier to all friends and family. Just great, great experience!!!
Thank you ACLV!!!!
These guy's went beyond what I consider the norm to service us. We first contacted ACLV about a problem with our Heat Pump and they quickly sent out a service man by the name Huey. He is a extremely professional Service Tech as he got right to the inspection of the system and did a real trouble shoot of the exact problems at hand. We had another company come by for an inspection earlier and all they could do was advise us that the unit was shot and replacement was our only option. Huey checked out the electrical breakers and tested a start up of the system and found that the electrical connect was failing and the fan blade had come loose which stopped the air flow through the coils. He was able to get the system up and operating again without any parts which was amazing, and he suggested we look at replacing the fan motor soon as it may totally fail. The unit was over 15 years old and it had a very low Seer rating with a extremely high operating cost and we were aware that we would be looking at replacing the unit soon. I called their office a few days later and had a conversation with the sales department at ACLV with a gentleman by the name of Steve. He has a great demeanor and is a wealth of information without the high preasure I was getting from other companys. He sent me a quote for the replacement of the unit with options on brand and Seer ratings and he mentioned that we could quailfy for a Nevada Power rebate with the correct unit. Huey had done the test needed to get the rebate for the replacement unit and so we started to look at our options for financing on the replacement unit. A few weeks went by and we had another problem with the old heat pump and sure thing the fan had failed and I called Steve at ACLV and he sent out a tech to se if we could band aid the unit till a new unit could be installed. Service tech Mario stopped by on that Saturday and found that the fan died and he just happened to have a used fan to get the unit up and running. Well he saved the day for us again and we then scheduled the new unit to be installed two days later on Monday afternoon. We also spoke with Steve when ordering the new unit and found that he had great financing that we could not beat so these guy's really hooked us up with the best overall service and price all in one bar none.
