They were running late, but when your sitting inside a hot box, you are just glad to know a company with such great reviews is on their way. But then, they arrived, 2 old men in casual office attire; to diagnose my cooling problem for the great price of $49? They told me the only thing they could find wrong with the system was that a circuit board in the furnace was covered in ants. When I asked specifics, they showed me photos. There was actually only 1 ant on the board. I asked him if he couldn't just do a little maintenance on that board. You know, flick off the ant. Apparently, they don't do such maintenance, but instead offered to replace the board for $711. Yes, that is correct. I found that board; it retails for $59. What a bargain to have ACPros hook it up to the couple of wires in my furnace. But apparently, it was a great deal because they said that they would deduct that amount from the new system when I buy it from them. Who ever would discount $711 on a new system? I told them there was nothing wrong with the entire system, and asked about replacing just the AC unit since they weren't able to actually diagnose the issue with it. They said they don't do that because the only way to get the warranty was to replace everything. (You know that isn't true.) So, I hurried them out and called another company. The next company came out and found 1 ant on the board and no evidence that it caused any issue with the circuits (nothing burned or crusted or whatever on the board). That board was in great condition. He did find someone had just removed a cap and dug out the seal for the pipes which was causing a lot of cold air to release up in the attic. Which explained why it got even hotter in my house once AC Pros left. Gee, I wonder who did that? The new guy repaired the damage just done to the system and he found the float was bad, so he replaced that. He charged $100 all in. The best part was when one of the AC Pro salesmen called me and started the conversation with a joke about how hot it must be at my house and if I was ready to buy the new system. Yes, he really did that.

"Well first of all I was one of the older gentlemen there, Im the owner and I take my reputation seriously. Yes we were running late and called well in advance of our time window to inform you. And all of my employees dress in the same clothes as we all have the same uniforms? We were there for a intermittent problem where you explained the system would run then shut off and you would have to turn the thermostat to off for 30-45 minutes and then it would work. We could not replicate the problem and went over the entire system: electrical, refrigerant etc. The only problem we did find was there had been ants on the main circuit board in the furnace, which I showed you in two pictures and have them if you would like to review them again. I explained that they could have caused the short. And yes there were more than just one, you can see the stains from multiple ant trails all over the board. If you found a circuit board for your furnace that cheap please let me know as that would be the lowest price for an OEM board I have ever seen. I do have to point out we are not the cheapest contractor, but you get what you pay for and our reviews will speak for themselves. You asked how much a new system was as I did not try to sell you one, and yes I did say after the repair if you wanted to proceed with a replacement system I would credit you back the repair. As far as the removal of any "seals" that is just a lie as I would never ever do such a thing. I took pictures of your equipment prior to doing any work and sent them with your estimate, and you can clearly see there are not any "seals" removed. In the picture of your equipment there is no float safety device, which I mentioned to you so if another contractor told you that there was a bad float there is something wrong. If your home got hot after we left why would you not call me back? I would have been more than happy to come see the problem happening. The person your referring to that called you did not joke about how hot your home was as he sits across from me? He did ask you how your day was and if your husband did make it back to town as we do care about our customers. Its clear that you are doing this review in spite of some misunderstanding of the facts. I can understand you having price concerns but to make false statements about me, the owner by the way and anyone that knows me would say I would never ever and I repeat ever do such a thing. I would not have such a good reputation if I conducted business this way. Then give a bad review on top of that well I just don't think that is right period..."

Top notch organization! Jon came out during the holiday to diagnose my problem and made quick work of the repair. Unfortunately, something else went wrong later with the system and I decided to replace the entire unit. Jon didn't push me into anything, just gave me the pros and cons for all of the options. AC Pros had Josh and his apprentice come out the next day and the two of them had the job done in a few hours. This is a great little local business that hits above their weight and really knows how to treat the customer. All of my neighbors' homes were built at the same time so when their furnace's hit the skids I will recommend AC pros to all of them. Great job guys!

Noah the owner and his team Mac and Josh were all top notch. Very responsive, even came out quickly over the holiday weekend. All work was excellent. Noah was also able to repair our gas fireplace. I will definitely use them again.

I think I paid extra for extra service. Since it was a 2 zone unit, it costs more than they advertised. It was okay. It was a new house, It was only a year old. I guess it went okay. I really couldn't tell a difference. I wasn't here to greet them, but I didn't have any complaints.

The service was outstanding, as they called me first thing in the next morning (I purchased their service the previous evening at 9PM CST). Their service tech, Ryan came out that day to inspect and resolve the issue. He checked both systems and found that it was a dead AC battery in the smaller unit that was not allowing the system to provide the cold air. I decided to change the working battery on the larger unit also, as it was tested below the expected level of output. These batteries are expensive, but I prefer my AC units working effectively in the middle of a Texas summer. I was very happy with the service and price to resolve the issue on the smaller unit and signed up with their annual service plan. I really appreciate the fact that they came out on a Saturday to resolve the issue, as I had guests staying over the weekend and only reached out Friday evening to see if they could resolve (expected it to be the following Monday at the earliest). Simply outstanding service from the Rachel in the office to Ryan out in the field. I appreciate the quick response and resolving the issue so quickly. You guys have won my business moving forward. Thank you!

I originally requested a "check-up" of my AC system by using an Angie's List "deal." The check-up was scheduled the same day that I bought the deal from Angie's List. This was a pleasant surprise to me, since we are in the worst of the summer heat, and I expected to have to wait a few days (or even weeks) for the check-up visit. The rep from AC Pros was very professional, and even though he gave me the bad news that my coil was shot and needed to be replaced, I was pleased with his knowledge, and the fact that he took the time to show me the condition of the coil, and explained why he made this recommendation. Again, I was surprised that AC Pros was able to schedule the replacement the very next morning. Many of my neighbors have recommended AC Pros wholeheartedly on our neighborhood social network pages, and they are highly rated on Angie's List, so I was comfortable agreeing to their price without shopping around, so I accepted their quote and scheduled the work. The installation crew showed up a few minutes earlier than the scheduled time, and finished the job within 15 minutes of their estimate. They showed me the failed parts, clearly explained their activities, and completed the work as expected. They remained on site to confirm that the repair was successful, and cleaned up the work site. They even separated recyclables from the trash and put them in the proper receptacles. I will definitely return to AC Pros for any future work and I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of these services.

I have used AC Pros for annual HVAC maintenance in the past, but this year needed a new HVAC unit installed. The techs always seem very knowledgeable and experienced. Came out after installation to check out a problem I thought was connected to the new unit - it was not, but AC Pros did not charge me for the 1+ visit to check out the issue.
