I found this company here on Angi. Contacted them Monday, said they would be out Thursday, which I was surprised at since their Facebook page they would be on vacation Friday-Monday, so I assumed they were really busy. My daughter met them today at my grandson's house. She texted pic of $253 bill and said the dryer wasn't hooked up and she had been given phone number of a vent tech, and that it was a very young man who had been sent without a helper, so she and my 12 yo granddaughter and her 15 yo male friend had to help lift the dryer onto the washer. I called the owner whom I originally talked with to set up the appt. He had the audacity to say to me that they had recently went up on pricing bc they were so busy they were hoping people wouldn't call. He said he'd give me a little discount. As for the dryer not being hooked bc there wasn't a thing in the floor to hook to he said he'd call his tech and call me back, I sent him the pic my daughter sent showing there was a metal vent sticking out of the floor. When he called back, he said their policy was to not go under the house to see if the vent was properly vented and that his tech thought it wasn't properly hooked up (very young man). He said he'd head over to hook up the dryer, and I said to him that I couldn't believe he had actually said to me, a first time customer, that he had hoped ppl wouldn't call, and that I wished he had had the decency to tell me he was too busy and I'd probably need to look elsewhere for someone to do the job properly. And do you know he ignored me and simply said he was headed to the house to finish the job. When he got to the house, he peaked under the house to see that the dryer vent was properly connected, hooked it up inside, called me to tell me he had reduced the bill by $50. Just so it's clear for other ppl, they charge a flat $120 trip charge, plus labor and service fee which was $120 in this case before he reduced it by $50, plus tax. And we had purchased all the parts like dryer cord, water hoses, dryer duct, and stacking kit and had them there, which he complained about and said the dryer duct was trash! I will not call them again, and will not use Angi again. What a hassle for something I (yes, a woman) knew how to do but just couldn't lift the dryer! Beware.

The service was excellent. The Repair person arrived earlier than expected. It took him just a few minutes to figure out what the problem was. Luckily the item that needed to be replaced they had. Was up and running in less than two hours. I would contact them again if I have any more washer/dryer issues in the future.

He came as scheduled first day but a bit late. He replaced a part. Unfortunately we were not able to test then (had to leave for work). That evening we realized it still didn't agitate. He came back the next day and advised that although he could repair the cost would exceed the value of my very rusty old washer. He refunded part cost and only charged for the first service call!! Love the new Maytag he recommended

When I called and explained the problem, Stan was hesitant to make the extra distance trip, but when I explained the dilemma of living in the country, he agreed to come out 2 days later, between 3-5pm, which he did. He also said he would call or text 30 minutes prior, which he also did. I was 10 minutes late, which did not seem to bother him. Our repair was labor intensive but did not require any new parts, which was a good thing. Stan was friendly and worked as quickly as possible and our refrigerator is working better than it has since we bought it.

Fantastic. Stan was on time! He knew exactly what was wrong. He helped clean out the fridge and put things back. He was in and out quickly but not hurriedly. And he was one of the most personable service contractors we have had in years. He guaranteed the work for a year and the parts for life.

I called Stan and explained about the missing bracket. He knew what I was talking about, so he came over the next day with bracket in hand. Access to the wall was obtained by pulling out the drawer at the bottom of the range, and Stan was able to mount the bracket firmly to the wall so that the range could no longer be tipped forward. This wasn't a major repair, but we were in an urgent situation to have this corrected because we didn't want the buyer to have a reason to walk away from the sale. Stan was able to quickly resolved the problem, very professionally. We continue to be very satisfied with Action Appliance Service and will recommend them to anyone in need of appliance service.

I turned to Angie's List and noted Action Appliance Service. I called on Monday, November 20, late morning. I explained what was going on with the dryer, and Stan said he'd be by later that afternoon. Stan called later, letting me know he was on his way. He arrived and immediately partially disassembled the dryer to locate the problem. He was very familiar with the problem, and quickly located the source of the trouble. He noted that parts would need to be ordered, and they should be in by Wednesday. Sure enough, he called Wednesday afternoon and was going to come over and complete the repair. He arrived shortly afterwards, and proceeded to install the parts and had the dryer running like new quickly. He also did a quick inspection of our refrigerator, because it was making some noises that we were concerned about. Stan noted the ice maker, one source, was operating normally, and the noise was common. He also explained about the self defrosting feature, and that it would make noise when running - and showed me how to tell when it was running. I'm really glad I used Angie's List, and more than satisfied with Stan and Action Appliance Service. I will not hesitate to recommend Action to all of my friends who are in need of appliance help. He is very professional and polite, and was quick to repair our dryer.

Stan knew what the problem was from the explanation I gave him on the telephone and gave me a ball park figure (which helped me decide whether I would make the appointment for service). He was at the house about 45 minutes later and fixed the problem along with some minor issues that came to mind while he was there. He was friendly, conducted himself in a professional manner and got right to work. The final cost was a little less than he had approximated. I'm very happy so far and over time, assuming the problem will not happen again, I will be ecstatic!

wonderful. The washing machine was a bust, but then scheduled a return visit for an issue with my refrigerator. He fixed it, but then had another problem. When he returned he did not charge me because he said it was probably his fault. His service and customer service are the best!

My dishwasher was fried during a storm. The Appliance center I bought a new machine from had it in stock, but their installer could not get to the job for 2 weeks. I contacted Action Appliance on Friday, and they were able to get it installed right after it was delivered on Monday. Stan was very responsive and efficient. I will definitely use this company again!

Called Stan late Monday afternoon and set up an appointment for Tuesday morning. He called Tuesday to tell me he was on his way, and he arrived on time. He quickly and accurately diagnosed the problems with both appliances. The dishwasher just required an adjustment, but the washing machine needed a sensor, which Stan had on the truck. Both repairs were performed in less than an hour at a reasonable price. He is up to date on the latest appliance technology and diagnosis. When you call Action Appliance Services, you will be dealing with a true professional.
