Action Asphalt was amazing. They were very responsive to our initial inquiry and came out quickly to deliver a quote, and set an appointment in a very reasonable timeframe. When that appointment arrived they showed up with the whole crew bright and early and got right to work, explaining everything clearly. We were only going to pave one part of our large driveway, but they gave us a great deal to do the whole thing and we were so confident based on their professionalism that we went for it. We could not be happier. The paving job is impeccable. Their crew is friendly, helpful, and fast. We love our new driveway. I recommend Action Asphalt wholeheartedly.

Stay away from Action Asphalt. They are absolutely terrible. My dad was sold an original driveway replacement of $13,800 in April of 2022. After months of being delayed with countless excuses, they showed up to pave on August 1st. When they showed up, there was another charge of $1,200 for base stone. On top of being old and cracked, my dads driveway had a low spot that held water. This spot was discussed to be corrected with the “extra stone” and paving. Well it rained 4 days later and there was pooling in the same spot as before the driveway was redone. We reached out to let them know this the same day it was discovered. Mind you, there is a “5 year warranty”. Well after a year and countless calls, and promised dates, I called in July of 2023, almost 1 full year later, 1 full year into the warranty! Dan the owner came out and looked at it and decided that we were right, the top finish was garbage due to them dumping a whole truck full of asphalt in the yard while they were paving, allowing it to cool down to much to be usable and the low pond that we had in the driveway was unacceptable. They decided to do a top cap pave over of the whole driveway which was great. Wellllll, not so much. After a full day off work to make sure they showed up, time spend fixing the yard for the second time in a year, the owner doesn’t know how to read a level. Actually, the area that was holding water is worse now than it was before. The solution. We will come out and patch it because they spent too much money fixing it the first time. These guys really have no idea what they are doing. They are a very disfunction crew of misfits and not one of them has anything good to say about the company or the quality of work that is done. One of the employees actually said he worked for another company but was let go because their standards were too high. Lots of fancy equipment and no aptitude on how to use any of it. Please, please, find someone else!

We are extremely happy with the work performed by this company. The owner, Dan Gee and his crew went above and beyond what was expected. The Office Manager, Savanna, as well as Dan, were kind, knowledgeable, listened to our concerns and were able to answer all our questions. The crew worked together like a well-oiled machine during installation of our driveway. Everyone was so professional. I would highly recommend this company for your asphalt needs. I was surprised to see only one individual show up at the end of the day who happened to be the driveway sealcoat superintendent. (In years past other companies usually had 3-4 in a crew) He did the entire job by himself in 45 minutes, answered all my questions, and did a nice looking professional job. He explained why some driveways don't last more than a year and said I shouldn't need recoating for 2 years which is the standard. He said he had 20 years experience and it showed. I was very impressed with the job he did and we'll see how it holds up over the winter and next year and see if it makes it 2 years as promised. I switched to this company because the company that had done the job over the past decade's quality fell off sharply and my last two coating only lasted a year due to the mix being thinned to much according to the individual who did it this year. Overall I'm very pleased and look forward to using this company again in two years.

A combination of "waiting our turn" and then weather due to a wet late summer early fall delayed our project for nearly two months, but once work was able to commence it was completed in a week. Action asphalt removed the old collapsing asphalt and base, and completed installing/compacting the new rock and gravel base over the culvert in one day. We then drove on the compacted base for a week to allow for further settling and compaction. When they returned, Action Asphalt again completed final leveling and overlaying the base with new asphalt in less than a day. We are very satisfied with the work. The gravel/rock combination drains rain runoff well and will prevent the original erosion problem from occurring again. Pricing was on the high end of the range, but the work quality was excellent. Well worth the wait and the price.

Although you are going to pay more to use this company, the entire experience was excellent. From the office staff to the clean-up, this team was first class. If you're going to be using your driveway for a long time, this team will get the job done right. The key for me was they would let the crushed concrete settle for 4-5 days, prior to paving. Everyone else wanted to do the entire job in one day. When you see the price below, please take into consideration that my driveway was a mess and there was basically no base. Hence, they had to bring in extra crushed concrete and I opted to go 2' wider on my driveway, which meant manual labor vs. machine.

This is the second or third time that I've worked with them on my driveway, and this time I get it all on email. They were very quick with responses and it was really easy to interact with them via email, because I was kind of email them, and they email back rather than previously doing it over the phone. I thought the email was awesome, like in how quickly I got the response back, you know letting me know on the status of like oh the water doesn't look so goo, we're going to try to remove it out, just keeping me in the loop on when they are coming and all that stuff. We pretty much did all the entire transactions over email which I really appreciated. They were there on the day that they said, with that I actually think they stayed later because I was expecting it to be done when I got home, and they were just starting when I got home like after 5 o'clock, and I know that they were working with some OT's, so from that point, I really appreciated that.  Sp they stuck to I'm going to do it on this day and the crew that came out were there.

Going from gravel to an asphalt drive was a big step for us. Our driveway is fairly long, on a moderate hill, with a teardrop shape looping around lawn and landscaping, Our plan was to have a wider than normal drive with minimal seams. Action Asphalt was the only company we found with the unique equipment that could handle up to a 16ft wide drive in a single pass. The result, we couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend Dan and his crew to anyone who wants a great job, fair price, and completed within the scheduled timeframe. The crew was very professional, very accommodating to all our requests, and worked together as a team. It was clear that they took a great deal of pride in their work and finished product. It was also clear they wanted to be certain we were completely satisfied with the completed project. We are!

The contractor's performance, and the finished product, were of the highest standard.  The edges of the drive were straightened and the grade perfected.  The new drive is smooth and perfectly finished.  Working with this contractor was a very rewarding experience.  Dan, the owner, came to the house to give us an estimate.  He was very friendly and patient, explaining in detail the work necessary to complete the job in a manner we'd appreciate.  The equipment used, and conduct of the crew, were professional grade throughout.  Dan personally supervised and supported the job.  We were concerned about scheduling but there was no need to be.  The project was conducted and completed in the time specified.  We are totally satisfied with the end product and the performance of the contractor.  We wouldn't consider hiring anyone else for asphalt work in the future and we recommend Action Asphalt to others. <br>

After getting off to a rocky start (see previous review dated 5/27/2016)the owner of Action Asphalt came to see me in person to discuss the communication issues that I experienced with his team. Although I contracted with someone else to install my asphalt driveway, I decided to give Action Asphalt a second chance and allowed them to perform the sealcoating once the driveway had time to cure. They were very responsive to my needs to have the service performed at a time that was convenient for me. The crew showed up on the scheduled day and time as expected and completed their work in a professional manner. The quality of their work was excellent and I am pleased with how the driveway looks after the sealcoating. I will certainly consider using Action Asphalt for any of my future driveway maintenance needs.*

Great experience.  Even though it was a holiday when I sent the email, I received a rapid response by email with 5 easy back and forth emails on my questions and a visit the next day even though I couldn't be home.  Very professional in every way.  I didn't think it was possible for the concrete repair to match the rest of the stamped and stained drive but they did a great job!  <br />

Great.  Best price quote, fast, courteous service.  Our neighbors had their driveway spray-coated about the same time.  Ours is brushed on and it looks far better...more even, thicker, denser color.  These guys did far more crack fill than they charged me for.  A plus experience. <br />

Company was VERY easy to deal with from start to finish. Scheduling (both estimate and job) was flexible. Estimate was reasonable and fair. The 2 workers performing the job were professional and efficient, answered all of my questions.

Once the weather cleared, Action Asphalt came on time and did our driveway in less than a day. The crew was more than adequate (7 members plus the owner). The per square foot price was in line with other estimates. Our driveway looks nice. Only time will tell if it holds up. Before contracting with them we saw and were impressed with a neighbor's driveway they did one year prior.
