They did a really great job. They were very personable and easy to talk to.

They came out right away and fixed the problem. They are always courteous and work with my tenants to meet. I have been using them for years, and will continue to do so. The office staff is very understanding and helpful, and the techs are knowledgeable. <br />

The work done looks to be a good job, though the plastic housing around the water outlets and washer drain melted some from the pipe welding of the lower section before he could thread a spigot on the pipe. Also, good clean-up from the drywall dust. He showed up at the later end of the scheduled time but then this was the last call of the workday and we all know there are typical delays. I presented the $40 A.L. coupon and got no argument at all about redeeming it when paying the bill.

My good friend was offshore onboard a research vessel conducting oceanographic research. He received word from his HOA that his water hadbeen turned off due to a large leak outside his house. He contacted me to see about getting it repaired and having his water turned on. I called Action Plumbing and not only did they promptly schedule an appointment, but were happy to work with me on my friend's behalf. They even agreed to bill my friend and have him submit payment upon his return. Great job Action Plumbing! <br />

Had the bathroom flooring replaced about a year ago...  Evidently, that crew didn't make adjustments for the new flooring, when they replaced the commofe and sealing gaskets.  Have had Actiion Plumbing in twice to fix the problems.  First was a tank-to-bowl gasket that was leaking, and this time it was a bowl to discharge leak; which ruined a good area of our new flooring around the commode. <br /> Plumbing is a nasty job...  I used to do all ours by myself.  Tales to be told there;  but at 75, I can no longer do the nasty stuff, or even the easy stuff if it requires "bending..."    We started with "Action Plumbing" several years ago, and have stuck with them because they live up to the name...  You call in with a problem, and there will generally be a truck in your drive within four or five hours...  I don't give a d*** if the prices are a little higher, you'll be glad you called them.   You'll get an estimate before the tech starts, and generally that will be It...  However, if problems are encountered, you can rely on fair charges... <br />

Action Plumbing reponded quickly to my call to inspect and make repairs to toilets and faucets in our 4 bedroom condo. They were polite and personable, and returned calls promptly. Since we live in another city, we needed to get our condo ready for incoming students to live in, including making sure that everything was working properly with no leaks or potential problems. On the day requested, they obtained the key from our property manager and got to work, calling us with their findings and recommendations before starting repairs. I believe that they were honest, and told us, for instance, that we didn't need a new water heater, and recommended against some work that we thought might need to be done, saying that it was unnecessary and a waste of money. They completed the work in a timely manner and seemed to perform everything agreed to, per my later inspection. They did leave some lights on and a very small mess to clean, however, which I think should have been taken care of before they left. My only real concern and displeasure comes from the price. Unfortunately, this is common and not exclusive to Action Plumbing, but I feel that $600 for about 3-4 hours work is excessive and leaves one feeling gouged. Now I know that plumbers, like most tradesmen will tell you that this is "standard" and in line with their time, travel, parts, etc., but this is about twice what I earn as an educated medical professional working over the same 3-4 hour period of time. That said, I can't help but feeling a bit "ripped off" cost wise for something that needs to be done, and which I can't be there to do myself. On the plus side, Action Plumbing did offer a 5% discount when I told them I was an Angie's List member. Still, the sense that I paid a fair price for services has not been there for Action Plumbing or most other plumbers I have dealt with. Despite their good, honest service, I will likely look for a less expensive plumber next time.

Repair was successfully completed but at a ridiculously high price. I had located the damaged 3/4 in PVC line, turned the water supply off, dug out all surrounding soil to clearly expose the damaged area. Employee arrived, used in-line repair adapter ( I later found identical item at Lowe's for $11.00), applied PVC cement, turned water back on, and left. Repairman did not even get his clothes, hands, or shoes dirty as I had doen ALL the dirty work. Prior to starting the repair, employee called in and talked at length (he said he was talking to his boss) to find out how much to charge. Repair charge, even for after hours service, was way out of line. I'll NEVER use them again.

The work they agreed to do, they did relatively competently, however, the main complaint I have is that I asked them to come out to do three things: 1) fix our disposal; 2) fix a leak in our sink; 3) fix our leaking tub. Despite acknowledging all three items prior to coming out, in the end they were only willing to attempt the first one. I had the impression that the plumber that came out was not very experienced and didn't want to risk trying the other two. This is better than trying and making a mistake but left us with two problems that still need fixing.

The main cutoff valve in front of my house was deteriorating and my local utility company (because it was on my end, and not theirs) suggested calling a local plumber. I looked on Angie's List and saw Action Plumbing had good reviews, so I called them. The lady on the phone said someone would be out within an hour or so to look at my cutoff valve! When the gentlemen arrived and started digging, my line completely disintegrated (oh, the joys of a 40-year-old house!). They gave me a quote to temporarily fix the line and a quote to permanently fix it, with a year warranty. I decided to go with the permanent fix, and they temporarily fixed the line right then and there, so I could cook for the holidays - it was the day before Thanksgiving! The next Monday, they came out and did the full repairs, staying late to make sure everything was working. They even worked with me on a payment plan. So far, I am very pleased with them!

Our hot water stopped working but the cold worked fine. I called and they came out within an hour - on a Sunday! - and he diagnosed the problem to a clogged up water heater. He flushed the water heater and solved the problem and sold us a service contract that actually covered the cost of the repair! He could have so easily sold us a new hot water heater but suggested the flush first, which resolved the problem. These guys are EXCELLENT!

I had an emergency situation, my water heater started leaking and was flooding my house. I called Action and I remind you this was on a Sat., they gave me a free estimate, had a tech. out within the hour and he quoted me the price to make a repair and another to replace the old water heater. I elected to replace it because my heater was so old. The price was $733.61 and that was the complete price no add-ons, no misc. charges and it came with a 7 year worry free warranty. The complete job took about 2 hrs, my techs. name was Ryan and he was awesome, very polite and informative. Very pleased with the entire company.

The plumbers were excellent and extremely professional. If I use that company again it will be because of Kip and the professionalism he portrayed but the price was outrageous considering I supplied everything but the labor. Due to a leak in the wall, it did take two days to finish the job. There is a slight cosmetic issue with one handle being out farther from the wall than the other side but overall I am satisfied. Also there is no free estimate you will have to pay a service call fee even if you decide not to use them. Because of a busted pipe and the urgency of the situation we had limited choices. They were able to show up that day and begin working immediately. The other plumbers we called were unable to. I do recommend them but be willing to pay a slightly higher price and in this town, I do know plumbers that charge much higher.
