"We appreciate all feedback from our customers. We were shocked to see these comments after the first review this member left us back in February. This is an unfortunate situation. Original review comments from [member name removed] are as follows…. A complete Kitchen remodel.-Cabinets, floor, granite , sink and backsplash Master Bath remodel - converting a tub to a updated modern enclosed steam shower with tile and pebble flooring. Added travertine stone to 2 existing walls Completely revamped our fireplace with stone and natural reclaimed wood mantle We contacted Action TN to bid on our remodel job in our new condo. Mark Yarbrough came to our condo and was extremely professional and prompt . We found him to be extremely knowledgeable and current on today's designs. His pricing was not cheap but reasonable for the scope of work. We found him to be very customer service oriented. A trait that is not easily found these days. We knew immediately he was the contractor for our job. He introduced me to his workers and made sure that they cleaned up on a daily basis. He accepted changes and challenges on our design with an open and pleasing attitude. Most contractors that I have worked with do not accept changes very well. He was totally committed to our satisfaction in all areas. We would definitely use him again! I highly recommend Mark and his entire team at Action . You will not be disappointed. My thoughts on the situation since it has unfolded… Mrs. [member name removed] and I live in a small community and were friends She asked me to help her with a home renovation. I agreed to act as a general contractor and oversee the bathroom/steam shower part of her renovation only. On the rest of her home, I offered to let her use my employees and subcontractors. She was to supervise the job herself, pay for materials and pay my employees/subs directly. This did not work out well. I ended up doing lots of material runs, overseeing most aspects of the job requiring days of interactions with subcontractors and paying directly for some labor myself. Mrs. [member name removed] asked me to do this and assured me she would reimburse me fully. I only asked to be reimbursed for money I had spent and asked nothing for my time. After I completed the job for Mrs. [member name removed], she submitted one of the best reviews of my work that anyone has ever put on Angie’s List. I have not performed any more work for Mrs. [member name removed] since she submitted that review. She and I clearly disagreed on the amount I should have been reimbursed and when it became clear she was not going to pay me, I let her know that I would just to write it off. I thought that was the end of the matter but soon began to hear about our disagreement from people in the community where we live. I believe Mrs. [member name removed]’s discussion with our neighbors is making its way back to her. She has continued to contact me and my wife via phone, email and text, most recently threatening to change her Angie’s List review and contact the BBB. This disagreement has done irreversible damage to our friendship and there are hurt feelings on both sides. I believe that is the primary issue and I sincerely regret this situation. Mrs. [member name removed] was happy with her home renovation as was apparent by the glowing review she posted in February after the work was completed."
