If I could rate him a zero, I would. Demetrius Adair of Adair Handy Services, LLC is a fraud. He told me he was a General Contractor! But I found out (after the fact) that he uses the licenses of other companies to file permits and work on homes. In my case, I found out he used another company to file the permit to work on my basement. To top it off, he never even paid for our $20 permit. He requested money in advance to do work. We signed a contract on August 1st, 2021, Demetrius Adair did not start work until September 2021. From September to November, we only made it to a drywall install. The drywall was not hung correctly. They did not even finish (mud, sand, tape) the drywall, after Demetrius took over $40k of our money for a basement remodel which he did not finish, he disappeared. Our dumpster truck got repossessed. They came in the middle of the night to tow it off our driveway. He left 17 bags of excess drywall pieces in my basement. We had to hire a company to remove the trash. Demetrius claimed he would fix the problems he caused. He has not, he disappeared. The last point of contact was December 22, 2021, when he texted and told me he was on his way to our house. That was a lie! He had his mother call and leave a message to say a family situation came up. Demetrius is the king of excuses. I am posting this so that other homeowners will be aware If you decide to go with him after reading my review. Do not give him money upfront!!! learn from my experience! also, ask for his electrical certification card, Verify it online. He told me he was certified and that was another lie. There is too much more I can write about Adair Handy Services LLC, but honestly I am just sick to my stomach about this.

Demetrius Adair, I spoke to another customer of his who had given him $40,000 and was stuck with an uncompleted job. Demetrius lied to me on many occasions, hired unqualified people who spilled paint on my deck and carpets, and ultimately, left me with a largely uncompleted project. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE! You have been warned.

PLESAE READ! I reached out to Adair Handy Services to install a privacy fence. The price of wood is still higher than I’m willing to pay so that project is on hold. However, I asked Mr. Adair, the owner, about a quote for painting the exterior of my house. I’m very picky but we worked out the details and a price. This contractor does what he says! He’s professional and his guys show up ON TIME, do their job and they are professional, too! My house looks beautiful! I told him that he needs to put his business name and phone number on his truck and get his guys t-shirts so they “look” as professional as they actually are! He’ll be doing that very soon. I highly recommend this contractor and I don’t do that lightly. I have a house from the 60’s so I’ve had to use contractors for many things related to my house and landscape. I’ve used close to 20 contractors because I never use one twice due to their performance with the job - except for one. The guy who installed my a/c and he got my first 5-star recommendation. Adair Handy Services gets my second 5-star recommendation. Use Adair Handy Services and you will not be disappointed.

Thank you Demetrius for the great work on our bathroom remodel. You were very professional and provided exemplary service. Always on time, kept me informed during the entire process. You offered great suggestions when I wasnt sure what I wanted which really helped me out during my decision process, and made the bathroom come out much better than expected. You and your company were very reasonable and always did what you said you would do, when you said would, which was very impressive. Demetrius is very honest and if there was something he couldnt do (which did not happen) he would tell me. I would give them 10/10 stars if I could!
